Prices Rise More Than Expected as Inflation’s
Grip on Economy Persists

The cost of goods and services rose 0.4 percent for a second consecutive month in September, challenging the view that the Federal Reserve’s rate hikes are still bringing down inflation. The personal consumption expenditure price index was expected to cool slightly from the prior month. Over the past year, the index is up 3.4 percent. That is unchanged from the August reading, data from the Commerce Department showed Friday. The Federal Reserve says it wants to bring PCE inflation down to two percent, a rate not seen since President Joe Biden took office in early 2021

Comments:

More than 'expected' or how about the old fashion "unexectedly?" Must be the strong economy Yellen is talking about.

When will these government economists factor in rising interest rates as a cost of business that gets passed on to the consumer in the form of rising prices? You can't slow inflation unless you slow the costs of business.

The more money people go out and spend, the higher the interest rates, commodity prices, and inflation will raise.

Like we are supposed to believe any numbers regarding the rate of inflation or for that matter on any other issue spewed out by this particular communist death democrat controlled government. Weekly trips for fuel, food, clothes, cars etc. and their increasing costs which sometimes seems to go up on a daily basis shows how much these commies and their comrades in the propaganda media are lying to us. Inflation has never abated nor gone down.

Diesel went up $.80/gal and then came back down $.30/gal in the past week. I just went to the grocery store today and the bread I normally buy went up $1/loaf in a couple of weeks. For the 2 of us, I spent $150 in groceries and that doesn't include meat or canned goods - mostly perishables that I have to buy each week and a few things I was out of. This is getting ridiculous. Before Bidenflation, I would spend less than $100/week on the same things.

As I predicted in 2021, "Today the presses are running 24/7 in order to fund the government, the money supply has increased 25% since the first of January, and the dollar, backed by nothing is falling in value. Can hyperinflation be far behind?"

The people in DC can play all they want with their statistics. The price of food is causing some families to go hungry. The price of gas is preventing some employees from getting to work. The interest rates are crushing the housing market. More and more people are being pushed into poverty.

Disney was not accountable to anyone,” observed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in his announcement kicking off his presidential campaign. “You know, it’s human nature: If there’s no accountability over any individual or entity, of course they’re going to behave differently than if you have normal accountability.” The truth of DeSantis’ words is perfectly demonstrated by Disney’s recent treatment of guests at Shades of Green, a military-owned hotel at Walt Disney World. Disney’s actions say a lot about how a company — one that used to be notable for its patriotism in the days of Walt — now regards U.S. Armed Forces families and veterans.

CLEVELAND, Texas — Immigration officers deported the Mexican man wanted in connection to Friday night’s alleged murder of five Honduran nationals on three occasions, according to the Texas sheriff leading the investigation. The most recent removal came in 2016. San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers told Breitbart Texas on Sunday that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers deported 38-year-old Francisco Oropeza, a Mexican national now wanted for five alleged murders, in three separate incidents. Sheriff Capers and other sources advised that the last time ICE officers removed Oropeza was in 2016.

Will the physical, sexual, emotional and mental abuse of children by the culture never cease? The latest from Disney, which in recent years has made the devil’s work its standard business practice, is truly appalling. Their new Disney+ show The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder has but one aim: Foster racial hate and division. It is an angry, bitter … racist … assault on whites, stoking resentment amongst black kids and self-loathing among white kids. It also rewrites history in a vile way. You don’t lie about and slander national heroes unless your goal is to take out the nation.

Thousands gathered in Istanbul on Saturday for what was touted as the “Great Palestine Meeting.” The event was a pro-Palestine rally aimed at condemning Israel’s recent military actions in Gaza, where Hamas headquarters are located. Hamas terrorists were responsible for a deadly attack that claimed the lives of 1,400 Jews in southern Israel. One must ask the question: What did people expect Israel to do in response? Not retaliate? When an entity like Hamas, designated as a terrorist organization by the United States, the European Union, and Israel, engages in violent acts aimed at killing civilians, it is not only Israel’s right but also its obligation to defend its citizens.
