Eisenhower’s push-off from the pier at Naval Station Norfolk was delayed Friday. “The departure was delayed to ensure the ship is in peak readiness when she joins the units from the strike group,” said Cmdr. Lara Bollinger, public affairs officer for the U.S. Second Fleet. The Navy didn’t specify when the aircraft carrier will depart.
