US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called Friday on Israel to limit Palestinian civilian deaths as he worked to set up safe areas in the Gaza Strip, seeking to keep calm in the Arab world following a major Hamas attack.
After a solidarity visit to Tel Aviv, Blinken, on a six-nation tour of the Arab world, again defended Israel's right to respond but also stepped up the tone on protecting innocent Palestinians. "We have urged the Israelis to use every possible precaution to avoid harm to civilians," Blinken told a news conference in Qatar.
"We recognise many Palestinian families in Gaza are suffering through no fault of their own

Germany: July1932 federal elections through no fault of their own...
But the safe zone in southern Gaza is an excellent idea.

Hey Blinky, what if they’re deplorables? Would you still seek restraint?

I doubt you could find a non-partisan civilian in Gaza. They've been cheering and dancing in the streets after the initial slaughter of Israelis, now they'll claim they were against it. But they're muzzies, it's OK to lie to unbelievers and they're cowards. I have no sympathy for any of them.

Someone please clue blankin in on what is happening. Israel warns people in Gaza that becoming rockets will be hitting . Hamas will not allow the residents to leave the area.

How touching, Blinkie. I am sure the IDF will make an effort to spare civilians who refused to leave. But look, Egypt, like it or not, will have to take in the Gazans long enough to give the IDF enough time to scrub the Gaza strip clean of tunnels, munitions, missiles, booby traps, and anything else that is not in their best interests to remain.

Tell me, sir, precisely HOW is a Hamas rapist or murderer different in any way from your theoretical "Gaza civilian"?
Fact: They are literally the same people....not 'similar '....the exact same person can be a "Gaza civilian " one minute and a murderous Hamas killer thirty seconds later.
So....NO.

The IDF should ask each person if he or she is a terrorist - - before deciding whether or not to kill them.
Tough Tony has a great idea there.

I'm almost to the point of "Let God sort 'em out." These terrorists disguise themselves as civilians, or use civilians as human shields. They did it in 'Nam too.

I agree with him, Israel should use the same restraint for innocent Palestinians as was used in the attach on innocent Israelis.

The term "existential threat" hss been bandied about so much lately that it's lost all meaning...but here we have Israel facing an ACTUAL existential threat, much as did England and much of Europe during WW2. I have to wonder how things would have turned out for western civilization had groups protesting against the bombing of population centers in Japan and Europe prevailed against men like"Bomber" Harris and Curtis Lemay.
Dresden, Cologne, Hiroshima, Tokyo, et al. were not spared...but the western world was saved..for a time.

Unfortunately, the jihadists will hide under their women's skirts and attack Israelis whenever they can. No, they all need to get out of the Gaza strip unless they face some serious reprisals.

Hey, Blinkey. Do you also recognise that many US families will also suffer through no fault of their own due to the Biden regime open border policy that allows terrorists to enter the country?

'through no fault of their own'...they allow Ham-Ass to flourish and run rampant...then they are equally at fault....did any of them tell the IDF where the tunnels were? Or the storage places for all those missles and arms?

Israel always has done the utmost to limit civilian deaths. And look what it's gotten them. I'm sure they won't be targeting civilians, but if they get in the way, what are they going to do?

We all know that Hamas will do everything they can to maximize the deaths of their own civilians for propaganda purposes. Look for the MSM to go all in on helping them feature those deaths 24/7. This is no time for the Israelis to lift their foot off the throttle.

How dense can blinken be???
FTA "We recognise many Palestinian families in Gaza are suffering through no fault of their own" WTH???
Hey Winkie....many Palestinian families are solid supporters of the atrocity that happened last weekend; in fact I consider them accomplices. They do bear some responsibility.
The only ones who suffered through no fault of their own are the Israelis.
Winkie is a spineless fool!! I CANNOT wait until this fraudulent and misbegotten "administration" is history.

Palestinians supported the Hamas. Hamas attacked to kill the Jews and other visiting civilians. Palestinians celebrated the killings. IDF mobilized to defend Israel. Rockets and missiles raining down in Palestine. Hamas and Palestinians are dead on the street and they're protesting the atrocities. The worst is not over, and more will die. It's the nature of WAR. So, every Palestinian and its sympathizing protestors in the world should come to Palestine to support and fight for their cause. But they won't, because they are all cowards and will never return to defend their people. They are entitled, too comfortable, and living in a domesticated, democratic society. Lowlife scum of the earth, ....it's them.

Tony, you should be talking to Hamas. They are the ones using civilians as a human shield.
Israel has used restraint for years, and the only thing it has gained for them is lost land and more Israeli deaths. Do what you have to do, Benjamin.
