Taxpayer-funded National Public Radio enthusiastically advocates for abortion on a regular basis. A few months ago, their show Morning Edition even aired audio of an abortion as clinic workers cheered it on. On Wednesday, their morning "news" show turned to Memphis-based WKNO reporter Christopher Blank, who promoted billboards supporting women driving up Interstate 55 from Tennessee to Carbondale, Illinois for abortions.
The star of the story was a hairdresser named "Queen" -- "we're not using her name due to privacy concerns." Blank described her as wearing a T-shirt proclaiming in capital letters "I WILL FOREVER AID AND ABET ABORTIONS." She explained

How biblical that the baby killing industry claims to know ‘God’s plan’.

It's absolutely like the Red Queen....
"Why some days I used to think six impossible things before tea."
They are both crazy AND evil, and dangerous as hell. The are not "harmless nut cases" in any way.

God’s commandment says “thou shalt not kill.” But abortion, which kills a human being, is acceptable by God. I don’t think so. God would be contradicting Himself. Not possible!

Jesus said to the woman caught in adultery, "go and sin no more..."
Abortion is not in God's plan, but the Devil's. So is NPR, apparently.

These people do not speak for pro choice. I don't know anyone pro abortion.

Actually #5, correctly translated that is "Thou shalt not murder." Killing is OK in proper context. David and Goliath, Joshua at Jericho, lots of other examples. But not murder, killing in war isn't murder.
Oh, yeah, and Israelites at Jericho, from Joshua 6:21 " And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword."
and in Joshua 6: 24
"And they burnt the city with fire, and all that was therein: only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of brass and of iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the Lord."
That sounds exactly like what needs to be done in Gaza. Get all Joshua on them. Be Biblical again.

It will be interesting, to be sure, if we actually get to witness the retribution NPR will eventually receive for this blasphemy. "Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap." Gal. 6:7

Proverbs 6:16-19: These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: 17 A proud look, A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil,
19 A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.

She speaks truth. Abortion is in THEIR god's plan. He's gone under many names throughout history - Baal, Moloch (abortionists patron god), Baelzebub, serpent, but 'Satan' covers it.

Many conservatives, and your average non-liberals, are pulled into the pro-choice position because of professional or personal experiences with cases of truly tragic pregnancies under the most horrible of circumstances. Although personally against abortion, they feel the option should remain open for a limited time period to accommodate unplanned pregnancies in rape victims, young girls under 16, abused women, or women with too many children already.
I would ask these folks to think about the wider effects of their position. The "choice" they are "pro" is giving women the legal right to kill the babies in their wombs at any time, up to and including birth. The time limit is up to individual states. California has already enshrined abortion up until birth in it's Constitution. Ohio is voting on it this November. Your preference may be 6-weeks or some other time limit, but that is not the reality of your political position; no matter the reason. Legalized abortion at any stage is death on an industrial scale. There are no nuances like time limits. There is only life beginning at conception! And where there is God given life, there is always God's hope!

I used to listen to NPR in the early 1980s but their constant anti-semitism and pro-abortion stance got to be too much for me. I quit after about 2 years and it seems as though they have gotten worse.

If you really want to know what is in "God's plan," I suggest you read the Bible. You will find that it includes eternal damnation for those who fail to heed and obey His word, including the imprecation, "Thou shalt not murder."

Billboards like that should be used for Target Practice! And NPR should have been defunded YEARS ago! Time to push Congress to take care of that!

Thanks 9 for that clarification. IIRC, I first heard that distinction explained by Dr. Laura on radio, some 20 years ago. I have kept that in mind ever since.

I suppose these "Christians" would have supported an abortion for Christ's mother Mary. After all, He wasn't Joseph's son.

PBS implies God exists and has a will for us. If any public figure or group did that, PBS and ACLU would raise hell about "separation of church and state"....But they can rationalize violating their own standard, if it is to promote something particularly offensive to God. Hypocrites and promoters of murder..
