Trump: Not a great man

Original Article

Posted By: Harlowe, 10/6/2023 4:08:32 PM

Donald Trump is not a great man. His rhetoric, which has included denunciations of those who have served in the military (while he dodged the draft five times with a limp excuse about bone spurs) ought to disgust all but those who are in complete denial of the danger he would pose to the Constitution and the country should he be re-elected president. Humility is not part of his vocabulary and words mean something, especially when they reflect character. In the latest "indictment" of Trump's virulent rhetoric, his former chief of staff, John Kelly, issued a statement in which he says he witnessed Trump insulting wounded veterans and others.

The opinion expressed by Mr. Thomas is not only stunning, but delusional from the standpoint of its content being based on the delusions of President Trump’s adversaries. ~ Denunciation of military veterans. / A letter written by a Gold Star Father to Sheriff Joe Arpaio to express his disgust “over inflammatory remarks made by General John Kelly” and relate to Sheriff Arpaio he and his wife’s “firsthand experience with President Trump’s love for the military, especially Gold Star Families” expressed his heartfelt gratitude for President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump having spent three hours with Gold Star Families at a 2019 ceremony honoring Gold Star Families, an annual event they host not publicized in the press. This Gold Star Father is convinced of President Trump’s love for the military, veterans, and Gold Star Families and he is ready to do whatever is necessary to defend President Trump’s honor. ~ Sketch of Jesus sitting beside President Trump in a Manhattan courtroom. / No, the implication of President Trump having shared that sketch on his Truth Social website meaning he “is being persecuted as Jesus was persecuted” is not clear and should not be misconstrued as blasphemy. For evangelical supporters, the interpretation may well a reminder of “The Great Commission” Jesus gave to the Apostles, “... And behold, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, TO THE END OF THE AGE.” (Matthew 28:20) ~ Treason / According to Merriam-Webster, treason is “the offense of attempting by overt actions to overthrow the government of the state to which the offender owes allegiance...the betrayal of a trust (treachery).” If anyone is found guilty of treason in this country, the law is clear that death is one of the sentences to be administered: 18 U.S. Code § 2381 - Treason ~ Looters, Women, Language, Deportment / Naïve idealists deny the magnitude of crime running rampant in this country that becomes more dangerous to innocent citizens each day. Something has to be done and it is not stirring incitement when calling for legal means to protect this country’s citizenry. / While most women are not comfortable with the off-color language Donald Trump (as a celebrity and private citizen) used, women understand women and will not deny the truth of what he said--some women are “receptive” to certain male advancements while others are not. / With regard to profanity, some people have no problem, but others strongly object—especially when it comes to the most vulgar word being flaunted by people who think it fashionable, or kids who think it cool. Without question, the preference would be for President Trump to rise above such vulgarity and, instead, be an exceptional role model for this country and the world. / This country has seen the publically “refined deportment” of some politicians of stature to learn later of their less than honorable real life; what most people prefer is a straight-arrow and that is President Trump—a man who respects and strives to live within the boundaries of the Constitution, not circumventing, dishonoring, or disregarding the Constitution. ~ While he dodged the draft five times with a limp excuse about bone spurs. / As has been pointed out elsewhere, if Donald Trump was guilty of draft dodging, he would have spent time in jail. Bone spurs are caused by the breaking down of cartilage and can be painful; if the knee, painful to extend or bend the leg; if affecting the spinal cord or nerve roots, they can cause weakness or numbness in arms or leg; if the hip, can reduce range of motion. Unless people have walked in President Trump’s shoes since he came down the escalator in 2015, they have no idea what it is like to live 24/7/365 for eight years of irrational, unmitigated hatred, schemes, and plots to destroy him and, in doing so, the ripple effect on his family. “Judge not...” (Matthew 7:1-3) “Judging others makes us blind, whereas love is illuminating. By judging others we blind ourselves to our own evil and to the grace which others are just as entitled to as we are.” (Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a Lutheran pastor, theologian, anti-Nazi dissident known for his staunch resistance to the Nazi dictatorship that included vocal opposition to Hitler's euthanasia program and genocidal persecution of the Jews. Pastor Bonhoeffer, at the age of 39, was hanged on April 9, 1945 as the Nazi regime was collapsing.)

Beautifully written #1 Thank you. As for Thomas , he couldn't ever have withstood the filth and lies of the kind thrown at President Trump. A man and his family that have been dragged through political fires and sewers for what???? And to what end? We the people that support the man know and I suspect people like Thomas knows also. Thomas is a coward to assault President Trump AND his people in the disgusting manner he has. But I know the president will get by these storms just as he has all the rest. Why? Because they are LIES and those like Thomas that spew them will lose. God Bless President Trump . MAGA

I believe it is a slanderous lie that Trump denigrated those who died or were maimed defending the country. I have never seen any proof of that while there are numerous witnesses refuting that he ever did so. It’s one thing to criticize his rough talk. I have deplored some of his insults and braggadocio but when all is said and done the only important aspect of the man is how he governed the country. He did a great job. That’s the only thing rational voters should care about. Cal Thomas does himself a grave disservice by this unhinged rant that explodes from his pen.

Don't like Trump, don't vote for him then. However, Cal Thomas, like every other never Trumper will focus on Trump s character flaws (they want a saint) and ignore what he actually did and achieved as President. You may not like the words he uses , that he des not use pretty, bug words like RINO Republican intellectuals; but Trump got results. If he had not had Democrat and RINO opposition to some agenda items, as well as COVID, he would achieved a lot more positive things for the USA. Again, people like Cal Thomas forget all about that in search of an ineffective saint.

I call BS on the Kelly story. Just another general who was bought off by the Deep State, like Mattis and Petraeus. It's no coincidence that America has not won a war since 1945. As for Milley, they shot Eddie Slovik for much less.

"Trump is drawing all attention to him, which is his intent. He correctly says that with each new indictment, his poll numbers go up. That says a lot about his followers' low requirements for high office." No, the problem isn't Trump supporters with "low requirements for high office." The problem is the delusional sub-culture that has sprung up around destroying Donald Trump. Well-off, and well-connected hangers-on, failed candidates, corrupt agency officials, politicians and globalist worshiping actors decided amongst themselves they're entitled to "approve" which candidates Americans are allowed to choose from. That self-serving idea came about around the time Donald Trump announced his 2016 presidential candidacy, and the Russia Hoax was created. Note that these players are the same folks who pretend to worry about "Our Democracy" as if they own it. These privileged peacocks are dedicated to the notion that Donald Trump (who brought prosperity to middle America) has no right to run for president without approval from the Country Club Set. In fact, they're openly talking about ordinary citizens who don't agree with them needing to be "deprogrammed." That's not the way democracies operate. It's way would-be dictators seek to impose their will on their "subjects." The elites got their way with Biden's presidency. He won! And we're supposed to believe Donald Trump and his supporters are the problem? Perhaps the real problem is that our "betters" seek to end American sovereignty via wealth redistribution. Maybe losing our own sovereignty to globalist authorities poses a greater threat to our national interests, than Donald Trump. Like his supporters, Donald Trump can think for himself.

A bombshell report was released this year evidencing a scandal that ranks among the worst in its evil: the euthanization of patients for the sake of profit.[Snip]The industry rakes in massive funds from Medicare, which delivers a flat daily cash benefit, but hospice groups must repay those funds if the average length of stay of all patients exceeds six months.[Snip]This begs the question: If such patients who are not near death are being brought in for Medicare funds, and these funds must be repaid if patient stays run too long, how do these profit-driven hospices keep their cash flow going?

Israeli is historically bad at public relations. It doesn’t parade the bodies of its dead and wounded in front of the cameras to show the depravity of its enemies. Israel also has almost the entire international media against it, as well as Islamists around the world and western leftists, all of whom pump out propaganda to delegitimize Israel’s self-defense. During this current Hamas attack, there are widespread claims denying that Hamas committed the brutality to which there have been numerous testimonies not only by Israelis, but also foreign journalists, diplomats, and U.S. military, who have seen the scenes firsthand or in images/video.

Judge Arthur Engoron is taking precautionary steps against former President Donald Trump, blocking Trump from making any moves to secretly protect his money while his civil fraud trial is underway. Engoron issued a new ruling on Thursday morning, ordering all the defendants named in the lawsuit to provide a list of all the entities they currently own and to what extent any third party may have an ownership or interest in those entities. They must also provide advance notice for "the creation of a new entity" and "any anticipated transfer of assets or liabilities to any other entities."

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) on Tuesday called on House Republicans to expel Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) and defeat his motion to oust Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) from his post.[Snip]Gingrich added that Gaetz was in violation of a House Republican Conference rule that says a motion to vacate “should only be available with the agreement of the Republican Conference so as to not allow Democrats to choose the Speaker.” Gingrich argues that an agreement made when McCarthy became Speaker to allow any member to advance a motion to vacate did not supersede the conference rules.

I appeared this afternoon on Fox Live Now to talk about the civil trial of Donald Trump and numerous Trump organizations for allegedly inflating property valuations to deceive banks and insurance companies.[Snip]The judge ordered New York business certificates for numerous Trump entities cancelled.[Snip] This all is egregious. There is no claim that consumers or banks and insurance companies lost money, or were defrauded out of money.[Snip]If they wanted to charge him with fraud and penalize him for these appraisals, fine, but to then try to put him out of business, I think shows how political and how vindictive this is.

I haven’t paid much attention to RFK Jr. He’s been shut out of the Democrat Party process, where the powers that be don’t want a challenger to Joe Biden or whomever they select to replace him as nominee.[Snip] One important barometer will be how viciously the Democrats and media attack RFK Jr. if he goes independent.[Snip]If they go soft on him once he’s out of the party, or even promote him through proxies, then you know he’s harming Trump or whoever the Republican nominee ends up being.

John Kirby, the White House’s National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications, told reporters aboard Air Force Once en route to Israel on Tuesday evening that President Joe Biden would have “tough questions” for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when they met Wednesday morning. Biden’s trip was intended to show solidarity for Israel in its war against the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, which attacked Israel without provocation Oct. 7 and murdered 1,400 peoople. But after Palestinians — and their allies — blamed Israel for an explosion at a hospital in Gaza City that reportedly killed hundreds of people, Biden appeared to be taking a different stance,

Twenty-two House Republicans on Wednesday declined to vote to make Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) the next Speaker of the House. The House held another vote on if House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH), the Republican nominee for Speaker, should become the leader of the House. Not enough Republicans voted to make him Speaker after 15 days without a Republican leader of the House. Jordan received 199 votes, House Democrat Caucus Chair Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) received 212 votes, and 22 lawmakers voted for someone other than Jordan and Jeffries. The 22 Republicans who declined to vote for Jordan include:

Representative Jim Jordan (R., Ohio) failed to secure the speaker’s gavel for the second time in a Wednesday afternoon vote that saw Republican support for the hardline Ohio lawmaker shrink slightly from where it stood on the first ballot. With the entire Democratic caucus falling in line behind House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Jordan could only afford to lose a handful of Republican votes after 20 GOP holdouts voted against him on Tuesday, costing him the gavel on the first ballot. Jordan’s team appears to have lost ground since then, as 22 House Republicans voted against the party’s nominee in Wednesday’s vote. Representative Pete Stauber (R., Minn.) switched his allegiances

A biologically male “transgender female” athlete has removed the championship title from a 14-time female fencing champ at the 2023 FIE Veteran Fencing World Championships. American Liz Kocab beat 14-time champion Marja-Liisa Someroja of Finland in the Women’s Epee in Florida on Oct. 15, Fox News reported. (snip) Sunday marks the eighth time the six-foot-tall, 71-year-old Kocab has taken a women’s title. USA Fencing updated its policy for trans competitors in 2022 and threw open all its women’s categories to men claiming to be transgender females without exception.

Joe Biden was literally in the air, flying toward the region when Jordan’s King Abdullah just cancelled the summit between Egyptian President al-Sisi, Abdullah and Biden. This is more than a little sunlight on who Abdullah was talking about earlier when he said, “the usual suspects were trying to create Defacto issues on the ground.” (Reuters) Jordan has cancelled a summit it was to host in Amman on Wednesday with U.S. President Joe Biden and the Egyptian and Palestinian leaders to discuss Gaza, Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said. On Oct. 12, Jake Lang passed a milestone: 1,000 days in jail without a trial. To mark the anniversary, he wanted to share with the American people "the horrific conditions of confinement," which he says he and many of his fellow Jan. 6 prisoners have had to endure. "During this time, I've done 20 months of solitary confinement," Mr. Lang told The Epoch Times. "For 15 months of that, I wasn't allowed to have a haircut or a shave." This was intentional, he said, to make Jan. 6 prisoners look like "homeless vagrants" or "deranged terrorists" during video court appearances.

Wall Street Journalist columnist Walter Russell Mead published a column Monday in which he argues that the policy of trying to appease Iran, followed by Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden, led directly to the Hamas terror attack on Israel and the war. While Biden is currently showing strong support for Israel, saying it has a “duty” to destroy Hamas, and sending two aircraft carriers to deter Iran from expanding the conflict, his policies encouraged terror after four years of calm under Donald Trump. Mead writes: Even now, Team Biden does not seem to have internalized the reality that the American policy of “conciliate to evacuate”

The intent of the RFK Jr. independent campaign, as an operation to support Biden and hurt Donald Trump, becomes even more obvious when you look at the recent Marist Polling [SEE HERE]. In a three-way contest with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. running as an independent, Biden opens up a 7-point lead over Trump. 44% of registered voters support Biden. 37% back Trump, and 16% are for Kennedy. With Kennedy in the race, Biden’s support dips 5 percentage points among Democrats while Trump loses 10 points among Republicans.
