A federal judge yet again declared California's ban on gun magazines unconstitutional Friday.
The ban was first instituted in a 2000 measure signed into law by then-Gov. Gray Davis, a Democrat, and prohibited state residents from buying or selling magazines that hold 10 or more rounds. U.S. District Judge Roger T. Benitez struck it down after previously striking it in 2019. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals overturned Benitez's ruling in 2021, arguing that the ban fell in line with the state's efforts to reduce gun violence and is compatible with the Second Amendment. Then, the Supreme Court vacated the appeals court ruling and ordered new proceedings consistent

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said he is exploring options on how to address problems at Colony Ridge, a massive housing development north of Houston that’s become a hub for illegal immigrants thanks to financing methods that circumvent any need for proof-of-citizenship documents.
Paxton, fresh off the sidelines after a failed attempt by the legislature to impeach him, said he received a briefing on the development this week after it was the subject of an investigation by The Daily Wire. “I got a briefing on this yesterday,” Paxton told radio host Michael Berry, calling it “completely insane that they can set up these villages with illegal immigrants.”

I’m angry; you will understand why by the time I finish.
We are transitioning into what might be called the Post-America period. All the pillars of a free Republic are under attack. Forces are surging from all sides, led by Progressives who sense they have us on the run. During war, you send scouts out ahead to reconnoiter in advance of your main force. The Progressive scouts are sending messages “meeting light to no resistance.” Progressives are emboldened, believing that whatever they do is working, and their victory is in sight.
Let me explain why I hope they may be in for a rude shock.

The younger Biden and his business associates at Rosemont Seneca spoke with Menendez’s office about CAF and secured meetings between CAF and DOT officials, archived emails show.

More than 300,000 migrants attempted to cross into the United States in August, surpassing the national record, as the White House says border number ebb and flow.
Last month 304,162 were apprehended by U.S. Border Patrol, exceeding the previous record of 302,412 in December.
The figure is shocking because numbers usually drop during summertime months because of the excessive heat. The numbers give Republican 2024 hopeful further ammunition to hit President Joe Biden with, as he runs for reelection and the administration downplays the problem.

While the next few weeks will be critical, doctors were thrilled at Lawrence Faucette’s early response to the pig organ.

The US-Saudi relationship soured when President Joe Biden took office, and now Biden’s reelection prospects may suffer, too.
Back on Nov. 21, 2018, just two weeks after the midterm elections, then-President Donald Trump celebrated recent declines in the global oil price with a tweet, ending with: “Thank you to Saudi Arabia, but let’s go lower.”
About six weeks earlier, the West Texas Intermediate oil price had peaked at $76.40 per barrel.
By Nov. 6, when American voters took to the polls, it was at $61.69 — a fall of around 24% in only a month.

Expected to reveal office on ‘gun violence prevention’
Very soon, American taxpayers could be paying for a special campaign endorsed by Joe Biden that would lobby against the Second Amendment rights they now have. A report at the Epoch Times cites word that Biden soon will announce a new “White House office on gun violence prevention.”
The Times reveals, “According to published reports, the office will be staffed by gun control activists from Everytown for Gun Safety, the organization started by former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and the Community Justice Action Fund.”

But no more. Yes, sometimes they still do very good investigative work. And the opinion pages are still very good and mostly conservative. (And their mountaineering stuff is fabulous, albeit limited.)

It was horrible enough that retired police chief Andreas Probst, 64, was hit and killed while riding his bike in Las Vegas.
But it got so much worse when a video came out about how he was killed, that he was run down intentionally by teens in a car, who giggled with one even saying "Hit his ass." You can see that graphic video here. After allegedly hitting Probst, they fled and left him lying there to die. The video was shocking and it went viral on social media because of the laughter, the seemingly deliberate nature of the act, and the filming of it.

But Democrats have gone pro-crime, eliminating bail, lynching cops and legalizing many criminal acts, like robbery, and they keep insisting that thugs shooting people is somehow about the guns, not the crime.
The new Biden Office of Gun Violence Prevention has nothing to do with actually preventing shootings by locking up criminals. Instead, its co-directors are Rob Wilcox,

As he began to speak, it was immediately obvious why the president rarely does evening events. He continually screwed up his own "MAGA Republican" insult, calling them "mega" Republicans instead. It wasn't his senility that was noteworthy, though. Rather, it was a series of insane claims he made.
Let's start with this one on the deficit because it's maybe the mildest one. Yes, I've got another example coming that is simply mindblowing, but patience is a virtue. Biden bragging about reducing the deficit is like a gambling addict

Joe Biden had some very bad moments on Wednesday when he almost knocked over the Brazilian flag and seemed to anger President Lula da Silva when he exited the stage without shaking his hand, and just left him standing there.
Then Biden seemed to get even worse in the evening at a campaign fundraiser, he reportedly repeated the same story after having already said it, almost word for word. Not exactly a confidence booster when they're trying to appeal to these people for money.
