With former President Donald Trump leaps and bounds ahead of his GOP primary rivals, some see the others in the race as auditioning to be his potential running mate. But a Republican who wasn’t on the debate stage last month is now making the case to be Trump’s VP pick, assuming he becomes the GOP nominee.
When asked on Thursday in an interview with Newsmax whether she’d consider the position, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem noted that “it’s early to be having these conversations.”
Pressed for an answer, Noem said she’d “absolutely” do it “in a heartbeat just because you respect the position
Very strange. Post has been up for over 5 minutes and Ldotters across the spectrum aren't already jumping to respond, "Not only 'NO', but...!" We'll have to ask Sundance who might be pure enough to be Trump's running mate.

I don't know how I feel about her as VP, but I was very much a fan in her earlier days as Governor. I was so disappointed when she caved on the fireworks at Mount Rushmore. I had wanted her to go ahead with them set up right outside the official demarcation line. Childish on my part, but so be it. I'm sick of the Federal bullying.
She certainly says the right things and her natural beauty doesn't hurt. Miles to go, but I'm listening and look forward to tonight's event. And I have never read Sundance beyond paragraphs attached to articles posted here. I'm not looking for purity. I just want the right person who is fearless and doesn't give up or in.

Wow. A conservative woman not only attractive, but with brains. A sharp contrast to the present selected VP. What is not to like.

No better choices then her and lake. She has the executive experience but not as much fire as lake. I would lean towards noem but lake needs to be in there somewhere. Spokesman?

Thanks, but NO THANKS, Kristi.
Just hang out with your Koch Brother and Paul Ryan friends at Americans for Progress.
Trump brought along Pence the Snake in 2016. Kristi, you are Snake II. Go away.

I like her. I also like Kari Lake.
Either would be good running mates for Trump.
Now the real question: We all know Biden will sooner or later be forced to drop out.
We also know that even the democrats aren't stupid enough to run Kamala.
Is it the Mooch ? Who else. Is there any democrat that could be President?
Newsom eats Sh-tuff and barks at the moon.

I dont know much about her, but as of this minute I like what I do know. Her commercials are cute, she's cute, she put her state first, and she seems to be pretty smart. This could all change as the vetting process progresses, but for now, no objections here.

The better fit is the governor who’s already been vetted, proven her loyalty, and been hired by the one choosing a running mate:
Gov. Sarah Sanders

Noem made one mistake. After that....seems like she's done well. I think Trump could do a lot worse, and did last time.
It seems likely that Pence was a plant and helping the Uniparty harm Trump all along.

Only VP candidate possibility for me is Kari Lake. Noem would be good in the Cabinet, but I would prefer Lake as VP.

Meh. He needs someone from a swing state. I'd put Gov Noem as head of the Dept. of Interior or Energy...

None of the conventional logic in selecting a Veep is going to apply here. This election will not be a state by state election but a national one. Are US voters (as a whole) disgusted enough to put Trump ahead of any possible ballot fraud? The best chance of getting a positive answer on that looks like Kari Lake.

More false hope. Noem is an establishment Republican and would be there to represent their interests and undermine MAGA efforts. Pence with a pretty face.

I don’t know. We have been stabbed in the front so many times by people who say the right things and betray us in the background.
I truly don’t think it matters because they won’t let President Trump win. I haven’t seen any election changes or improvements. And, my arthritis is really kicking up today. (Smile.)

Oh get over yourself...it's early in this game...and I'm sure President Trump will choose the right Vice President...not like pence who he was convinced to add because of his religious position with christians...well that didn't't work out well...so let President Trump choose his running mate...my choice is Bobby Kennedy....
