McConnell Freezes Up Again MidSpeech During
Press Conference

Original Article

enate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell froze up again during a press conference Wednesday afternoon, marking the second such incident in just over a month. During the press conference in Kentucky, McConnell failed to respond after a reporter asked him his thoughts on “running for reelection in 2026.” The senator, who took office in 1985, attempted to mumble something before falling silent. After around 10 seconds of silence, an aide approached McConnell and asked if he’d heard the question. McConnell appeared to whisper “Yes” in response before falling silent again.

Comments:

We cannot criticize Pelosi or Feinstein or the stooge from PA if we do not remove our own compromised Senators from office. And the staff that props hijm up, they need to be identified and if possible, barred from serving on staffs or lobbying for a period of years.

So unless these guys give themselves term limits (which they won't do) I assume they are going nowhere unless they happen to stroke out at the microphone, fall down, and cannot be revived. I'm thinking 78 is still pushing it but I would agree with that age. FJB, McConnel, Feinstein, Pelosi and the other 30 (give or take a few) need to be backing off and letting others take over. There is a time to change the guard and back off.

Term limits are needed. Not because there is always something wrong with long service. Or that no elderly people can remain capable. But power does tend to corrupt and there is a constant temptation of reward relatives, grand children, etc. And trading favors is often easy to justify; for after all, it brings influence and that influence allows one to do good. When life expectency was perhaps 60 it was a rare politican who held significant office for over 20 years. Now 50 years is not unusual. On paper such numbers prove little. But in reality I sense and I suspect others do also that too many have stayed too long. Way too long.

The definition of "vindictive" is to have or show a "strong or unreasoning desire for revenge." As an observer of the ongoing humiliation and persecution currently directed toward Donald J. Trump and anyone who supports him, what America may now be witnessing is an unparalleled display of malicious revenge. One might ask, "Who is driving this retribution?" The most obvious answer to that question is that it must be a self-absorbed force with a notorious reputation for spiteful exoneration. Judging from past conduct, that force would be none other than former president Barack Obama.

What’s also missing from Obama biographies is his identification with Islam. Obama is, after all, the bearer of two Arabic names, with the second that of the Prophet Muhammed’s grandson.

Throughout my time campaigning for public office, over the course of several Republican Party primaries I ran against an incumbent, as an incumbent, and for an open seat. The last GOP primary I contested was for our party’s nomination for Michigan’s 11th Congressional District in 2002. Fortunately, I was successful in every one of these primaries and, later, in the ensuing general elections. What helped make these latter general election victories possible was the grace and magnanimity of my defeated GOP primary rivals, each of whom supported my campaigns against Democrat opponents.
