The Department of Justice implored U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan to issue a protective order curtailing Donald Trump’s ability to share information about his indictment online. Chutkan is presiding over the trial of Donald Trump in Washington, D.C., on four charges related to his alleged attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election,
“If the defendant were to begin issuing public posts using details — or, for example, grand jury transcripts — obtained in discovery here, it could have a harmful chilling effect on witnesses or adversely affect the fair administration of justice in this case,” special counsel Jack Smith wrote in his court filing on Friday.

All trials should be 100% public information. Only totalitarian governments and criminals want to cover up their unlawful activities are afraid to do their business in full public view.
The Dept of Injustice is run by thugs who intend to and are breaking the laws, and they wish to do it with as little public awareness as they can get. They want to HIDE what they are doing, because it is unlawful.

The DOJ went on to say, "We can leak whatever we like of things that make Trump look like a terrorist, but he must not be allowed to respond."

So in a case that basically is about Freedom of Speech, the accused will not be allowed to speak freely ... or at all! What's wrong withthis picture?

The government spreads lies and half-truths through allegations and leaks, but how dare a person defend themselves. The DOJ (Department of Jackals) at work. No longer are people presumed innocent until proven guilty. Remember for Democrats it is the seriousness of the allegation that is important. Remember what happened to the Jan. 6 defendants.

Why not just move the trial to the Lubyanka and be done with it?

The Dept. of Injustice is just one step away from total TOTALITALISM, the total control over the lives of us, the citizens.
Our beloved Constitution, our First Amendment is gone if these goons, these thugs stop free speech of President Trump!

Believing that the election was stolen is logical considering the steps previously taken to make it possible.
Attorney: "You didn't actually see my client's boat leave the dock, did you.
Witness: "No.
Attorney: "So why did you tell the police it did?"
Witness: "Just before I left, I saw your client cast off the stern line and raise the main sail."
That is why millions think the election was stolen.

Maybe Trump should defy the court and let the judge throw him in jail. I'll wager that the heat will become unbearable, and SCOTUS will have to get off their ass and do something.

What the hell!! The government leaks like a sieve when it thinks its to its advantage--they forum shop to get a biased judge and jury pool every day of the week , they demand a speedy trial where that right belongs to the defendant and not the prosecution and now attempt to deny PDJT his first amendment rights as well. SICKENING.

So, he can't defend himself but the prosecution can leave out information and it is OK. George Washington said that he didn't think our Republic would last because of the evil of mankind. The end has come as he predicted. We have an corrupt, immoral governemnt.

I believe the defendant can do and say whatever they want, he is still innocent until proven otherwise. Its generally not a good idea because it might make it more likely he'd be convicted but in Trumps case I think the facts being in the public eye will make it harder to get a conviction.
