So a Democratic Party operative has once again indicted Donald Trump on transparently foolish grounds. The result of the Democrats’ seeming obsession with Trump is that he continues to dominate headlines and suck up oxygen nearly three years after he lost the presidential race in 2020. This is truly extraordinary.
Did Jimmy Carter dominate headlines in 1983, years after he was thrashed by Ronald Reagan? Was Walter Mondale a fixture in the press in 1987, after being clobbered by Reagan in 1984? Were the papers full of commentary on Michael Dukakis in 1991, three years after he was obliterated by George H.W. Bush? How about John McCain and Mitt Romney?
The author has never liked Trump. That said, he has a point. Keeping Trump forefront and pushing out the competition means he’s our candidate for the general and they have the power to influence so many people to not even consider him.
I don’t know what the answer is, I just know I’ll vote for Tump again but I have great foreboding.

The reason this is different is because Trump WAS defrauded, outrageously by a combination of Democrats and the Deep State. And every passing day instead of weakening the memory has brought forth more and more fresh evidence to support the fact. THAT is the main difference. It is the author’s TDS that prevents him from seeing it

Hindraker seems to think the coup is just business as usual and we just need to get a "serious" candidate, i.e., anybody other than Trump. In other words, agree with the Dims that the coup is justified because of "you know, Trump."
FTA: "the Democrats are keeping Trump in the forefront, and they use him as an excuse not to cover the serious Republican candidates: Ron DeSantis, Vivek Ramaswamy, Nikki Haley and the others.
"The" serious candidates who are all trailing?
The Dims are evil geniuses who are persecuting Trump to make him the candidate? Well, they do seem very good at (i) exploiting the mentally weak, aka The Gullibles, and (ii) cheating. And they have systematically taken over the culture and The Gullibles' thinking.
This writer has TDS. His stacks of assumptions all trend in the same direction.

More wordy, words from Mr. Rearwipe. Words designed to discourage votes for Trump. So transparent.

FTA...'When is the last time a presidential nominee lost his race, then was re-nominated and came back to win? I believe the only such instance is Grover Cleveland. Others–William Jennings Bryan, Adlai Stevenson–have failed.'
Guess Mr. Hinderaker has never heard of a fellow named Richard Nixon.

It doesn't matter who the GOP nominates. Dimocrats (ie the DeepState) controls the outcome. The second coming of Christ couldn't win against a rigged election. Our only hope is if the GOP can cheat better than the dims, and that's not what we do. I will still vote, but its only like buying a lottery ticket.

Well, since Powerline banned me last year for using the acronym POS, but they're okay with FJB. I haven't looked at their blog since then and I was a regular commenter there for years. Anyway...John is no better than Stuart Varney who on his show this morning said that Trump is his own worst enemy along with the Biden DOJ. You see, according to Stu, Trump should never had even mentioned that he thought the 2020 election was fraudulent and continue to make that claim. If he had just quietly accepted the results and slinked back to Mar-A-Lago and keep quiet - none of this would be happening.
So tired of people like Stu and Powerline, etc blaming Trump for what others do to him because they are so blind in their hatred of him and us.

Mr. Trump can be in prison and I'm still going to vote for him. He could beat any democrat from behind bars if the election is not rigged which it will be. For 50 years I threw my votes away on poser losers Bushs, McCain, Romney to name a few. Trump is the only candidate I believe that can save us. If the nomination process is rigged to slip in DeSantis or anyone else I'm staying home and never voting again, ever. I'm old and if this is a repeat of the 2020 theft there's no need to leave my house.

The two "impeachments" were total crap, fraudulent on the face, made up from zero facts, and totally senseless. They were clearly the work of a hysterical mob of people who were so consumed by political disagreement that they were just an irrational lynch mob.
Twice.
And now, we see the same exact crap in a different format, but just as nonsensical and hysterical, irrational, and even more fraudulent.
The Uniparty Deep State Criminal Cabal is absolutely so terrified of Trump that they are just hysterically doing ANYTHING and everything that they can possibly try - even when it is obviously political garbage, and not based on any legitimate law.
This shows how totally bankrupt and just out of gas they are. Hysteria does not accomplish things.
No matter what, Trump has my vote.
If votes still mean anything.
And if they don't, we will be going to a very bad place, and I can't see how violence will be avoided. I sincerely hope that voting still matters, can still work - violence is a very bad way to go, should be avoided if at all possible. But at this point, there is so much criminality among the "law enforcement" folks (cops and lawyers) in DC that it is getting difficult to see normal ways that this is resolved.

The Dems have added another arrow to their political quiver. In addition to ballot harvesting, they now have perpetual legal harassment of their opponents. The Republicans, as usual, offer no defense.
