“There were niceties." That description by Rep. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.) of calls between President Joe Biden, his son Hunter, and Hunter’s foreign business associates may, strangely, be the most accurate thing the freshman congressman has ever said.
The almost-two-dozen calls — detailed by Hunter Biden's close friend and former business partner, Devon Archer, during a closed-door interview Monday with House Oversight Committee investigators — were indeed "the niceties" of influence-peddling. The calls presumably were intended to show that Hunter Biden could deliver his father and to support what Archer called "the brand." Hunter had no relevant experience or appreciable business skills, but he had the vice

LeBron James’ foundation is laying the blame for three years of low test scores at his I Promise school in Akron, Ohio, at least in part, on the pandemic, according to a statement.
James’ school has not just had low test scores for more than three years. It has suffered some of the lowest scores of all of Akron’s schools and has not seen a single 8th grader pass the state’s math standards during the entire period.
In fact, since James’ school opened in 2018, his now eighth-grade kids have proven to have the lowest performance of the Akron school system

Former President Donald Trump would be treated like anyone else if he is charged in Georgia, Fulton County Sheriff Patrick Labat declared on Tuesday.
"Unless someone tells me differently, we are following our normal practices," Labat told reporters. "It doesn't matter your status, we have mugshots ready for you."
Labat's comments underline the intense public interest in the possible mugshot of a former president, a photo that historians previously predicted would quickly become one of the most famous images in recent memory. Trump's own campaign created a fake mugshot after he was arraigned in New York for an alleged hush money scheme.

Lately, there has been much commotion surrounding the Hunter and Joe Biden business scandal. On Monday afternoon, Hunter’s former best friend and business partner, Devon Archer, showed up on Capitol Hill to speak with members of Congress about Hunter and Joe’s shenanigans — all behind closed doors. Devon seemed quite cheerful upon arrival:
(Tweet)Could that smile be concealing ulterior motives? Hunter and Joe should probably be concerned, as Devon may be seeking some revenge. After all, it was Obama and Joe’s admin that had Devon arrested while Hunter got away without facing consequences.
Here’s what Chantel Rion from OANN had to say about that:

Special Counsel Jack Smith said Tuesday that he wants Americans to read his latest indictment on former President Donald Trump, but his critics want them to read the Supreme Court's stinging reversal of his last major political corruption case. McDonnell was prosecuted by Jack Smith for violating federal bribery law, which resulted in the United States Supreme Court overturning the conviction unanimously.

Ted Goodman, a political adviser and spokesman for Giuliani, also said the facts his client possesses establish “the good faith basis” Trump had for his post-election actions.

Fitch Ratings on Tuesday downgraded America’s long-term foreign-currency-issuer default rating, citing ongoing and projected future fiscal instability, an increasingly long and disruptive governance process, and rising debt and deficits.
The tumultuous negotiations and gridlock between Republicans and Democrats in June over raising the debt ceiling were evidence that “there has been a steady deterioration in standards of governance over the last 20 years,” Fitch, one of the “big three” U.S. credit-ratings agencies alongside S&P and Moody’s, said in a statement. That episode put the U.S. at risk of payment default

As the policy was unveiled in New Hampshire yesterday, I watched it all {Direct Rumble Link Here} to see what it would cover and how DeSantis would deliver it. Summary, major fail.
First, I must admit to coming to any economic policy outline as presented with a laser focus. You tell me you have an economic policy, and you have my full attention. Why? Because the economic policy of a federal candidate will ultimately determine monetary policy, fiscal policy and foreign policy.

The historic indictment against Donald Trump in the special counsel’s probe into January 6, 2021, and efforts to overturn the 2020 election says that he “enlisted co-conspirators to assist him in his criminal efforts.”
The charging documents repeatedly reference six of these co-conspirators, but as is common practice, their identities are withheld because they have not been charged with any crimes.
CNN, however, can identify five of the six co-conspirators based on quotes in the indictment and other context. They include:
Co-Conspirator 1 is former Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani.

The foundation of a free society is, of course, self-government, and the foundation of self-government is when the citizens of that society, via the electoral process, choose who governs them. Therefore, it is essential not only for elections to be fair and competitive but, more importantly, that there is a perception that they are fair. In the United States, this is no longer the case, but the Supreme Court has cleared the path for eradicating the worst fraud and changing the perception.

FIRST ON FOX: Former President Trump was indicted Tuesday on charges stemming from Special Counsel Jack Smith's investigation into the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021, Fox News Digital has learned.
This is the second federal indictment the former president faces out of Smith’s investigation. Trump, who leads the 2024 GOP presidential primary field, has already pleaded not guilty to 37 counts related to his alleged improper retention of classified records from his presidency.
Those charges include willful retention of national defense information, conspiracy to obstruct justice and false statements. Trump was charged with an additional three counts as part of a superseding indictment out of that probe last week.

Biden just interviewed with British podcaster Jay Shetty at the White House, which I think falls under the umbrella of a softball interview. Now, it’s ironic that he was appearing with Shetty to talk about how the Biden administration intends to help deal with the mental health crisis. But there's one subcategory among them that is scaring the heck out of Democrat pollsters: Black men, whose support for the old dotard has cratered.
Biden is down by thirty points among this normally loyal political group. A very significant number just don't want to vote for him.
According to the Daily Caller, citing a Washington Post report:
Black voters are significantly less enthused about a Biden reelection campaign than they were in 2020, with only 55% saying they’re likely to support him in 2024, according to an early May AP/NORC poll.

The agency's interpretation means funding for shooting sport activities earmarked under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) of 1965 will be blocked across the country.

Democrats are concerned that black voters won’t turn out for President Joe Biden in 2024 like they did during the 2020 election, according to The Washington Post.
Democrats are increasingly worried after the 2022 midterms saw a 10% voting drop among the crucial electorate, despite the party’s victories in the Senate, according to the Post. Party activists are now making it a priority to bolster turnout for black voters, particularly in key battleground states Biden narrowly secured in 2020 — Georgia, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Lee Greenwood issued a dire warning about America’s future if the trend of canceling artists continues following attempts to cancel Jason Aldean over the music video for “Try That in a Small Town,” which critics claimed was “pro-lynching.”
The 80-year-old country music said “Freedom of expression is under attack” in an op-ed headlined, “Cancel culture mob attacked Jason Aldean. They came for ‘God Bless the USA.’ But they can’t cancel all of us.”“The latest ‘cancel culture’ attack has struck directly through the heart of country music as the mob has come for one of our most popular current stars, Jason Aldean,” the “God Bless the USA” singer wrote.

A popular narrative suggests young people are liberal and getting more liberal. Thus, social media buzzed when a chart surfaced in spring that seemed to suggest 12th-grade boys had become overwhelmingly conservative.
As with many Reddit posts and viral tweets, the truth was more complicated. But the numbers do say this: Twelfth-grade boys are nearly twice as likely to identify as conservative versus liberal, according to a respected federal survey of American youth.
In annual surveys over the last three years, roughly one-quarter of high school seniors self-identified as conservative or “very conservative” on the Monitoring the Future survey, a scholarly

Lawyer Alan Dershowitz revealed Monday that President Barack Obama would only attend his 75th birthday if he disinvited Fox News Channel host Geraldo Rivera.
Dershowitz, who represented President Donald Trump during his first impeachment, appeared on The Charlie Kirk Show and talked about how he's been treated by liberal friends for continuing to side with the former president.
He told the conservative Kirk that his defense of Trump 'cost me a great deal,' arguing that 'people have lost all sense of decency when it comes to having different points of view' and characterized those on the left as being especially petty.

A Pennsylvania judge granted former President Donald Trump presidential immunity in a lawsuit a state election worker brought against him over statements he made about the integrity of the 2020 election.
James Savage, a voting machine supervisor in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, filed two lawsuits against Donald Trump, arguing the former president’s public comments about the 2020 election made him the subject of “hatred” and death threats, which ultimately resulted in him having two heart attacks.
Savage alleged that Trump, Rudy Giuliani, two Delaware County poll watchers, and others “conspired to defame him and place him in a false light

It’s been nearly four months since Dylan Mulvaney revealed his partnership with Bud Light, and consumers have yet to forgive the brand. Sales are down and the company has lost billions in market value, laid off workers, and frozen hirings. Time has yet to heal the wounds inflicted by the ill-advised marketing gimmick.
Things have gotten so bad that many Anheuser-Busch distributors have basically given up on getting their lost customers back, according to a report from the New York Post.
“Consumers have made a choice,” an executive at a Texas-based beer distributor told the outlet. “They have left [Bud Light] and that’s how it’s going to be.

Last Year: Karine Jean-Pierre refused to say why Biden didn’t sanction Russian billionaire Elena Baturina — nor if Biden met with her at a Georgetown restaurant in 2015 while he was Vice President.
Today Hunter Biden’s best friend and business associate, Devon Archer, testified that Joe Biden met with Russia’s Yelena Baturina who later invested into $40 million into Hunter Biden’s real estate ventures. And she also paid Hunter Biden $3.5 million in consulting fees.
Yelena Baturina, the billionaire widow of a corrupt Moscow mayor, was left off of Biden’s Sanctions list.

Arlington National Cemetery, Va. – As powerful wind gusts whipped trees on the grounds of the Arlington National Cemetery, a lone soldier continued their watch over the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Saturday as rain lashed the area during severe storms.
Soldiers from the 3rd US Infantry Regiment, known as “The Old Guard,” stand watch over the Tomb of the Unknown 365 days a year, even in horrible weather.
On Saturday, the Tombs Guards, or Sentinels, continued their watch as hurricane-force winds roared through the Washington D.C. area. Winds uprooted trees in the District and caused widespread damages.

The carpetbagging former governor of Massachusettes and 2012 Republican presidential nominee has routinely sold out the people whose values he pledged to faithfully represent and routinely capitulated to the Washington establishment’s consensus.

Hunter Biden’s best friend in business, Devon Archer, told House investigators that Burisma Holdings would have gone out of business if it were not for the so-called Biden brand, which Joe Biden promoted on phone calls with Burisma executives.
In 2014 Archer and Hunter Biden both joined the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company with legal challenges, as it was under investigation for wrongdoing. Burisma paid Hunter Biden $83,000 a month to sit on its board.
