New York City Health Commissioner Ashwin Vasan announced that illegal immigration has been ushering a new wave of tuberculosis and polio to the city.
In a citywide letter to physicians and healthcare administrators last week, Vasan said that the more than 50,000 illegal immigrants that have come to New York City since last year caused a spike in contagious diseases like tuberculosis and polio.“Many people who recently arrived in NYC have lived in or traveled through countries with high rates of TB,” he wrote, as reported by the New York Post.

Far left ‘squad’ member Rep. Pramila Jayapal of Washington State was a vocal opponent of Trump’s border wall, but apparently has a different attitude when it comes to her home.
She has spent over $45,000 on security at her home, including a fence, because of course she has.
It’s also important to note that she used campaign donations to do this.
That’s not necessarily illegal, but it doesn’t look good. The Seattle Times reports:

U.S. Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Seattle, reported spending over $45,000 this year on home security using campaign donations, according to Federal Election Commission records.

A Portland doctor who was knocked out by a 'homeless' attacker has revealed the wounds to her face, and blames the city for the slow police response.
Radiologist Mary Costantino was attacked last Friday night shortly after 10:30 in the Oregon city while walking with a friend.
Shocking surveillance footage of the incident shows a man throw a large silver bottle directly at the 50-year-old, rendering her unconscious.Speaking to Fox News Digital, Costantino said she woke up on the ground and was sure she was about to be killed and immediately called 911.

Bedminster, New Jersey — Former President Donald Trump, the leading GOP candidate for president in 2024, told Breitbart News exclusively that while he has not yet made a decision on whether or not he will attend the fast-approaching August 23 first GOP primary debate in Milwaukee, he thinks it would be “sort of foolish” and even possibly “stupid” to do so. The reason, he said, is because his significant polling lead gives him a large advantage over other candidates, but the debate moderators are from a “hostile network”—Fox News—that has overtly attempted to help failing candidates for the GOP nomination against him and those “hostile people” on stage could use

The sheriff of the Georgia county where former President Donald Trump could get indicted for a fourth time this year said he wouldn't be giving the ex-president any special treatment.
Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat said Tuesday that Trump will be fingerprinted and a mugshot will be taken if he's indicted in Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis' investigation looking into efforts to overturn Georgia's 2020 election results.
Willis said Monday that she will announce a charging decision by September 1.

President Joe Biden has suddenly expressed a desire to meet his four-year-old granddaughter, Navy Joan Roberts, after refusing to even acknowledge the child’s existence until last Friday’s afternoon news dump.
According to a report published Wednesday by NBC News, people familiar with the matter said that Biden was eager to meet Navy Joan and hoped to “dispel the notion that he was ignoring a vulnerable member of the Biden family tree.” Biden’s first public acknowledgment of his seventh grandchild came after years of public scrutiny,

New York—The 2024 election will determine whether Donald Trump returns to the White House. It could also decide if he’ll face time behind bars.
For Trump, who’s now facing his third criminal indictment — this time for his efforts to overturn the 2020 election and block the transfer of presidential power — winning is about more than ego, redemption, score-settling or the future of the country.
“This election may very well be about Donald Trump’s personal freedom,” said Ari Fleischer, a longtime Republican strategist. “It’s not an exaggeration to say, if convicted, he could be sentenced to prison unless he wins and

Former Vice President Mike Pence issued a statement Tuesday evening following the Biden DOJ’s latest indictments of his former boss and now presidential campaign rival President Trump for contesting the 2020 election. Pence said he has not reviewed the indictment.
Trump strongly lobbied Pence to accept challenges to state election results and give those states time to review their elections when he presided over the joint session of Congress on January 6, 2021. Pence rejected Trump’s pleas, disagreeing with Trump’s saying he had the legal authority to do so under the Electoral Count Act of 1887.

Ron DeSantis still finds himself having to defend 'hogwash' claims against his second place campaign following reports of firings and strategy shake-ups.
The Florida Governor pushed-back on Donald Trump's attacks on his campaign – specifically claiming that he has 'set money on fire' and has 'collapsed in polling' – and says the criticism comes because he is a 'threat' to the ex-President.
Fox News host Harris Faulkner, however, made it clear during an interview Wednesday that she agrees with Trump that DeSantis' campaign is a 'mission failure.'

On Saturday, trying to do the right thing led to Republican Rep. Ronny Jackson of Texas being put in handcuffs and briefly detained.
The incident happened at the White Deer Rodeo in the town of White Deer about 40 miles from Amarillo, according to the Texas Tribune.
A statement from Jackson’s office said he was attending the rodeo when he was “summoned by someone in the crowd to assist a 15-year-old girl who was having a medical emergency nearby.”
The statement that Jackson, who was a White House doctor for former President Barack Obama, was informed by a relative that the girl needed help in addition to the assistance being provided because

Former Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake called on all 2024 Republican presidential candidates to drop out of the race and endorse former President Donald Trump in the wake of his latest indictment.
"This is the most egregious case of election interference in the history of our country," Lake said in a statement. Trump was indicted on four charges related to his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election, including one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States, one count of conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, one count of obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and one count of conspiracy against rights.
