There are many things on this Earth are said to be contributing to global warming; cars, planes, plastic, and apparently pizza. New York City has ordered pizzerias that use coal and wood fired ovens to crack down their carbon emissions by 75%. Wood and coal fired stoves are apparently one of the largest contributors to air pollution and that this is just a “common sense rule” according to NYC Department of Environmental Protection spokesman, Ted Timbers.
This regulation will require pizzeria owners to buy expensive emission control devices, with one Brooklyn owner already paying $20,000 for an air filter.

Close up shop. Fire your staff so they can get unemployment from the already broke city. Stop paying NYC taxes. Create yet ANOTHER unoccupied hole in the wall of an already destitute 3rd world illegal migrant enclave. Get out while you have a chance cuz once they do that "congestion tax" thing, you're gonna be dead anyway. When y'all gonna learn?

While most people find this new law to be barking mad, the new hero of the presidential sweepstakes, RFK Jr, will find it laudable. Watch out for RFK Jr.; he’s a Democrat and a Kennedy and regardless of his new-hero status, he is a dangerous man. Do not be fooled.

ABOUT THE COAL
Anthracite coal is the oldest, hardest and cleanest type of coal...virtually free of smoke and particulate emissions. All of the anthracite used in the U.S. is produced domestically by American workers, primarily in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Today, anthracite is extracted almost exclusively from previously disturbed sites, not virgin territory. A portion of the price from each ton of anthracite sold goes to a federal fund used to reclaim abandoned mines from previous generations. The mined areas are reclaimed by refilling the mine, returning the terrain to its original contour. Then, trees and grass are planted. Water can then flow properly over the earth rather than through the old, abandoned mining tunnels underneath. This has led to the creation of natural ponds and wetlands and a return of wildlife to the area. The surrounding ecosystem is rescued and revived due to anthracite mining and reclamation.

Imagine 200 years ago if the New York City government told residents to stop burning wood. It would have been unthinkable, as that was the only method of staying warm.
Then came Coal. It was dirty to handle, but burned hot, and was regularly delivered to your door. Now imagine any NYC authorities trying to curtail the burning of Coal in NYC some 100 years ago. Unthinkable again.
Then came Natural Gas, which was a Godsend; always available, clean burning, with no trees cut down or coal miners risking their lives for it. Now imagine 75 years ago if NYC tried to stop anyone from burning Natural Gas to heat their homes or cook their food. Imagine telling a Master Chef today not use natural gas. They will change States.

How smart can New Yorkers be if they keep doing things that'll turn NYC into New Detroit City?

This is not a LAW it is a REGULATION.
Laws can be fought against, they have to pass through a Legislature, after being passed you can fight them in court.
Regulations are passed by some bureaucrat butt hole who decides by himself what should he/she thinks should be done and the public is stuck with it.
It's regulations that are killing America. Regulations made up by dipshticks ,

With NYC and Chicago doing everything in their power to destroy their culture, the rest of America needs unique, delicious and classic pizza. Come on Team and Florida, give us a new wonderful pie better than NYC and Chicago to enjoy. Something like Dallas Pie and Miami Deep South dish pizza

These idiotic libtards are never going away, especially with the brainwashing in our education system. So maybe a compromise will work. Something like limited hours of use for these pizza ovens.

As poster #15 asks, after they shut down wood and coal if they'll shut down gas. It reminds me of that joke...'what did socialists use before candles?...Electricity.
Let's start calling these radicals what they are. Neo-Puritans. If they see anyone happy, having a great time, enjoying themselves, the Neo-puritans have to forbid it. Soon laughing will be the cause of globull warming.

I watched a NY activist challenge the stupid mayor by throwing pizzas in the yard of the mayor's home. In an interview with Jessie Watters the New Yorker gave the real story of the New York pizzerias and their wood ovens. This Environmental clown Timbers made up that figure, 75%, because at this moment the ovens produce less than 1%. Environmentalist make up figures and are never challenged or made to produce their research because none is ever done. This is all a lie.

Meanwhile the ChiComs mined and burned FOUR BILLION (4,000,000,000) TONS(!) of coal in 2020 -the last year for which I have seen data,
link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxQCOXt8LI4
and have put a new Coal-fired power plant into service EVERY WEEK for the last several years.

Of course, as a self-declared 'developing nation', China has exempted themselves from all the UN 'Climate' treaties and agreements.
Also of course, none of this matters to the greenie-weenies, as all this 'climate' alarmism is just a scam and a way to control and destroy America and Western civilization.
How many of AlGore's dire predictions, and Greta Thunberg's dire predictions have come true?....(hint...... NONE!)
It truly is the Scam of the Century!

I realize that a lot of people would like to leave NYC but don’t have the means to do so. Financial, family, career etc but the exodus is growing. The city’s real problem is that most of the emigrants are stable taxpayers and the city will be left with the welfare drones. Bankruptcy is looming for the big blue cities unless they can clean up their act. It’s simple economics, treat your taxpayers as your best customers and make them your priority . They won’t, of course, the stupidity of their ideology means everything to them. I am just glad that I live in a small southern town. Take a crap on one of our sidewalks and you will do thirty days in our local slammer.
