Some interesting reports about the war in Ukraine today which paint an overall picture of Russia maybe being a little bit in trouble and worried about near-future outcomes. Let’s start with this Ukrainian attack on a Russian freight train.
An explosive device derailed a Russian freight train in a region bordering Ukraine for a second straight day Tuesday ahead of an expected counteroffensive by Kyiv…
The last four days have seen two trains derailed by explosions, a suspected drone hitting an oil depot in Crimea that caused a huge blaze and power lines blown up near Saint Petersburg.

Below is my column in The Hill on the hearing today in Arkansas involving Hunter Biden and his daughter Navy Joan.(snip)This week, Hunter Biden’s defense team traveled to Delaware seeking an update on the federal criminal investigation (snip) The reason seems clear: Time is running out on Hunter and the Biden family.
After years of delaying disclosures and admissions, Hunter could now be pushing to cap off the criminal side of the scandal before more information is released in Arkansas and Washington. For the White House, even a criminal plea is preferred if they can avoid one particular claim — and they may be succeeding.

Sow the wind and reap the whirlwind. Joe Biden is arguably the, if not one of the, worst presidents in American history. I use the word “president” loosely, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. By any national metric, we’re all far worse off now than we were before Biden stumbled through the doors of the Oval Office like a lobotomized polio victim. His “stiff gait” is an indicator of serious neurological decline which has become a brand of sorts. It’s Biden’s version of Trump’s rambunctious mane. But, instead of signaling a raucous virility, Biden’s halting and unbalanced gate communicates fundamental weakness and morbidity.

There are still 553 days until Election Day 2024, but right now, things look pretty bleak for President Joe Biden.
Shortly after Biden announced his re-election campaign — not with a live event featuring thousands of cheering supporters but with a weird video posted on his website — his job approval rating among the U.S. public slipped to 37%, Gallup reports. That’s just slightly more than 1 in 3 people — not a winning number. In the 2020 election, Biden won 51.3% of the vote, so that’s a 14.3% drop in support.
And for the record, 37% is the lowest Gallup has measured for him to date.

A person believed to be alleged gunman Francisco Oropesa, 38, was arrested in the Lone Star State Tuesday, San Jacinto County District Attorney Todd Dillon told NBC News.
He was taken into custody in the city of Cut and Shoot, the prosecutor said.
Authorities are awaiting a fingerprint match to confirm the person they grabbed is the correct suspect, Dillon reportedly said.

Hillary’s famous book title may have some truth to it in that a village is a close-knit tiny community where everyone knows everyone and has a stake in each other’s well-being. But Hillary wasn’t talking about a village; she was talking about huge, faceless, unaccountable government bureaucracies. Now we have a president -- or maybe half a president -- who recently said, “Our nation’s children are all our children.” Really? Our children belong to their radical left-wing teachers? Biden quoted one such teacher saying, “There’s no such thing as someone else’s children.” So, our children belong to the pedophiles among us? Do they belong to the greedy plastic surgeons?

Good for both of them — it might have been Hall’s first day back on the job from the devastating injuries he suffered covering the war in Ukraine and he had the temerity to ask Blinken an uncomfortable question or two. Blinken was nervously blinkin’ in response to Hall’s question about his putative role in soliciting the letter of the Deep State 51 from Michael Morell. When we’re talking about Presidentish Joe Biden’s increasing senility, it’s difficult to choose the worst, most embarrassing moment of his time in office.Imagine trying to top this first selection from September of last year, when Biden got lost exiting the stage at a Global Fund event — yet he’s done just that on several occasions. From the clip, it’s impossible to tell whether the announcer was supposed to address Biden at the end, or if he was just trying to get the alleged president’s attention and lure him to the correct side of the stage. You know, the side with the actual exit.

Four years ago, Jill Biden was hesitant about her husband making a White House run, fearing the toll it could take on him and the family.
In the months before Joe Biden formally announced he’d make a reelection bid, she had no such reservations.
Privately, the first lady encouraged her husband to run again while giving him the space he needed to process the decision in the way he traditionally does: with extensive deliberations, consideration of the burden it would place on his family, and a bit of classic Biden hemming and hawing. She was involved in all the high-level discussions around the decision, giving counsel when she felt it was necessary.

On Saturday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) gave her full endorsement to former President Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential election.
During the annual Lincoln Reagan Day Dinner in Putnam County, Ohio, Greene expressed her desire for more “mean tweets” from Trump, claiming they come with benefits such as “world peace,” “secure, strong borders,” and “supporting law enforcement and low crime.”

A new poll from the Associated Press has found that more than half of the country doesn’t trust the media and three-fourths of Americans believe the media is dividing the country.
The only people who will be surprised by this are people who work in media. They see themselves as heroes.
Anyone who has been paying attention, sees the media as mostly made up of propagandists who do nothing but attack Republicans and try to advance the Democrat agenda.

Canada lost its greatest folk singer in Gordon Lightfoot, who died on Monday at the age of 84.
Lightfoot's music hailed pioneers, working men, laborers, little guys, trailblazers, and even drunken losers in the true folk tradition of both Canada and the U.S. It was sensitive but distinctly he-man masculine, a vivid reminder of such a thing in this age of anti-masculinity. He sang of the same world described by longshoreman/philosopher Eric Hoffer. His music, though Canadian, had a significant affinity for Michigan, northern Minnesota, Wisconsin, upstate New York and the other states of the historic northwest, where there are many fans.

he Bible warns about calling evil good and good evil (Isaiah 5:20). Based on that warning, the Democrats should be very worried. The Dems are a party that openly lies and calls evil good. They celebrate killing babies in the womb, revel in the authoritarian power they seized during the COVID lockdowns, and recently they’ve started to groom young children (as young as six and eight years old) to mutilate their bodies by confusing them about their gender. The Dems claim that if someone identifies as the opposite gender, we should celebrate and acknowledge their gender confusion.

The King James Bible, the most famous version of the world’s most influential book, was published on this day in history, May 2, 1611.
"The King James, or Authorized, Version of the Bible remains the most widely published text in the English language," claims the British Library.
Commissioned by King James I of England in 1604, it is famed for its artfully written versions of Old and New Testament tales; its success bringing the Word of God to English-speaking commoners; and its influence on the American colonies.

Think Biden administration regulators have it in for gas stoves? Just wait until you learn what they have in store for air conditioners. In fact, many homeowners are already finding out first hand. It’s all part of team Biden’s prioritization of climate change policy over the interests of consumers. Now that air conditioning season is commencing across most of America, nearly 100 million homeowners are turning on their systems for the first time since last summer, hoping they get cold air. Those that don’t will need repairs, which may require replacing refrigerant that has leaked out of the system. Unfortunately

Performing trans surgery on children, as well as prescribing a child with puberty blockers, is now a felony offence in the state of Oklahoma.
Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt has signed into law measures forbidding the use of medical transgender interventions on children, with it now being a felony offence in the state to perform trans surgery on a child or prescribe them puberty blockers.
The move has prompted outrage from U.S. progressives, with a number of non-profit organisations vowing to take the state to court over the law change.

The U.S. Secret Service said Monday it blocked a Muslim mayor from New Jersey from attending a White House celebration with President Joe Biden to belatedly mark the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
Shortly before he was set to arrive at the White House for the Eid-al-Fitr celebration, Mayor Mohamed Khairullah said he received a call from the White House stating that he had not been cleared for entry by the Secret Service and could not attend the celebration where Biden delivered remarks to hundreds of guests.
He said the White House official did not explain why

One of the hallmarks of Leftist methodology is to assert blatant falsehoods as real and then act on them—with the fierce urgency of now!—as if they were true. At first dismissed as too absurd to take seriously, this approach has proven highly successful.

Congress now has compelling evidence that a letter from 51 security experts during the 2020 election falsely portraying the Hunter Biden laptop as a Russian influence operation was in fact Joe Biden campaign propaganda. Now armed with the truth, GOP lawmakers are looking to impose consequences for the organizers and the signatories.
Several House and Senate Republicans told Just the News they are looking to impose penalties ranging from possible impeachment of Secretary of State Antony Blinken, whom former CIA Director Mike Morell testified "triggered" the effort, to defunding federal contracts and security clearance for the security and intelligence officials who signed their name to the letter.

“The U.S. lost track of 1,475 immigrant children last year. Here’s why people are outraged now.”
That was a Washington Post headline from May 2018, one of many such pronouncements in nearly every mainstream news outlet – all decrying these missing children as evidence of the “cruelty” and “inhumanity” of President Donald Trump’s border security policies.
“It’s just wrong. It’s wrong,” Joe Biden said at one point. “Cruelty is the point. It’s their only point.”
But under President Biden’s allegedly more humane border security policies, the federal government has lost track of 85,000 children who crossed the border unaccompanied by their

Trump was the most pro-life president of our lifetime.
During his term, President Trump defunded Planned Parenthood, signed the Mexico City Policy that prohibited foreign aid for abortions, nominated pro-life judges to the Supreme Court, and was vocal in his support for the rights of the unborn. His actions were recognized by many pro-life groups and individuals as having a significant impact on the pro-life movement.
So, why are these same pro-life groups who hailed Trump a hero suddenly abandoning him, now? There’s a very good reason, and you’re not going to like it one bit.
(Snip) And one of the biggest pro-life movements in the country is currently leading

The Mayor of New York City can regularly be heard complaining about the strain placed on his city by the flood of illegal aliens shipped to the sanctuary city by red state Governors. Now the city of Chicago is joining the chorus of Democrat-run localities that advocate for open borders that are now choking on their wish. While it’s fun to watch, it is damaging to America. As such, it’s time to shut down the border until those charged with securing it can put a plan in place to actually do just that.
Honestly, the Biden administration had no intention of securing the border. Flooding the country with illegal aliens

There's been much speculation and even more joking about how President Joe Biden seemingly relies on handlers to get him through the rigors of carrying the "leader of the free world" mantle, but new reporting on Monday makes it clear that First Lady Jill Biden is one of the main players when it comes to managing and guiding major strategic decisions that, in the end, are attributed to the president.
Specifically, Politico's latest dispatch on First Family intrigue deals with Biden's prerecorded video announcement last week that the commander in chief would run for re-election in 2024, a decision that came after more than a little speculation

Last Friday, the Wall Street Journal published quite the piece detailing conversations some of their reporters had with Justice Samuel Alito. The piece, drawing heavily on comments from the justice himself, shared a lot of what many already suspected when it comes to what the justices went through, though it still made quite the difference to hear it from Alito himself. He was the justice who wrote the opinion in the Dobbs v. Jackson case, which was used to overturn Roe v. Wade. Although the decision wasn't formally handed down until June 24, someone leaked it on May 2,

The judge presiding over Hunter Biden's child support trial on Monday ripped into the First Son for 'sealing and redacting' his financial information.
'The ability to redact is somewhat being abused,' Judge Holly Meyer fumed. ‘I’m seeing a lot of things filed, especially by Mr. Biden’s counsel, sealing things, redacting things, that are not confidential.'
She suggested that lawyers for the First Son's baby mama should subpoena a downtown Manhattan art gallery to find out exactly how much he has made from selling his art.

Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) ended speculation about a potential presidential run in 2024 when he confirmed on Monday that he would not seek the nation’s highest office.
“No,” Youngkin told Wall Street Journal editor-at-large Gerard Baker when asked if he would be “dusting off” his signature fleece vest he became known for during his successful gubernatorial campaign.
Instead, Youngkin plans to focus on the state he was elected to lead during the 2021 Virginia gubernatorial election.

A Chicago area high school has come under fire after it was discovered the school is offering segregated mathematics classes for “Black” and “Latinx” students only.
Evanston Township High School District 202 (ETHS) is providing the racially segregated courses in calculus, pre-calculus, and algebra.ETHS’s math curriculum for the next school year suggests that the segregated classes will continue. One of ETHS’s pre-calculus courses describes, “[t]he course is restricted to students who identify as Black male students.” While another pre-calculus course mentions that it is only for “Latinx” students, and a third course does not have any restrictions based on gender or race.

During Monday’s press conference, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre made a bold claim that illegal immigration has decreased by more than 90 percent. However, critics are calling out her statement as a lie and are accusing her of spreading misinformation.
“When it comes to illegal migration, you have seen it come down by more than 90%, and that’s because of the actions that this president has taken,” she said. (Tweet/Video) Others have pointed out that KJP’s statement is particularly egregious given the ongoing crisis at the border.

Hunter Biden, the son of Joe Biden, is back in the news again as he appeared in an Arkansas court seeking to reduce his monthly child support payments for his four-year-old daughter with ex-stripper Lunden Roberts.
However, his expensive lawyers argued that he is “too poor” to continue to pay the current amount of $20,000 per month. During the hearing, the judge criticized Biden’s legal team for concealing financial details and ordered them to refile papers. This ongoing legal saga has raised concerns about Hunter’s financial situation and the transparency of his affairs, particularly his art sales.
