Black drivers in Florida are nearly three times more likely to be ticketed by police and sheriff’s deputies under a law that allowed law enforcement to cite drivers for loud music starting last year, according to a new analysis of traffic data and court records.
The analysis showed that Black drivers received almost 37% of the tickets, despite Black people making up only about 16% of Florida's driving-eligible population.
Law enforcement cited Black drivers at a rate of just over 11 tickets per 100,000 Black drivers, and cited white drivers at a rate of 3.9 tickets per 100,000 white drivers.

The Biden administration’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has told a Catholic hospital in Oklahoma to put out a sanctuary candle light, a command they say violates their religious beliefs.
The federal government told Saint Francis Health System’s Senior Vice President and General Counsel Michael J. Lissau that the sanctuary candle on their premises was in violation of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’s (CMS) fire safety requirements, the hospital says. The government says that the hospital will no longer be able to accept Medicare and Medicaid funds as long as the flame remains in the chapel.

The United States Navy has turned to a drag performer in its efforts to reach younger recruits on digital platforms and social media.
Yeoman 2nd Class Joshua Kelley, whose stage name is Harpy Daniels, announced on TikTok in November that he would be the Navy's first 'digital ambassador,' highlighting his journey from performing on board beginning in 2018 and growing to become an 'advocate' for those who 'were oppressed for years in the service.'
Kelley, who identifies as non-binary, was one of just five active sailors to participate as 'digital ambassadors' for the Navy in its 'efforts to reach a wide range of potential candidates,'

New York is the first state in the country to ban natural gas and other fossil fuels in most new buildings – a major win for climate advocates, but a move that could spark pushback from fossil fuel interests. Facing mounting pressure from environmental advocates and climate-minded voters, Gov. Kathy Hochul and Democratic lawmakers, who control the New York Senate and Assembly, approved the new $229 billion state budget containing the provision late Tuesday night. The law bans gas-powered stoves, furnaces and propane heating and effectively encourages the use of climate-friendly appliances such as heat pumps and induction stoves in most

Trump was the most pro-life president of our lifetime.
During his term, President Trump defunded Planned Parenthood, signed the Mexico City Policy that prohibited foreign aid for abortions, nominated pro-life judges to the Supreme Court, and was vocal in his support for the rights of the unborn. His actions were recognized by many pro-life groups and individuals as having a significant impact on the pro-life movement.
So, why are these same pro-life groups who hailed Trump a hero suddenly abandoning him, now? There’s a very good reason, and you’re not going to like it one bit.
(Snip) And one of the biggest pro-life movements in the country is currently leading

At Rainbow Oaks Restaurant — just an hour outside of San Diego — a TikTok user shared that she had faced the most “dangerous” situation she had ever been in. At noon, while she was eating her stack of pancakes, about a dozen people stood up for the Star-Spangled Banner being played on the bar’s TVs.
As first reported by Fox News, the TikTok user who goes by the screen name @Paulinaappa_0 recorded the patriotic display and included the caption: “By far the most dangerous situation I’ve ever been in #godblessamerica #getout #illegal #whitepeoplethings.” The video racked up 3.1 million views and over 19,000 comments with the vast majority affirming

A Chicago area high school has come under fire after it was discovered the school is offering segregated mathematics classes for “Black” and “Latinx” students only.
Evanston Township High School District 202 (ETHS) is providing the racially segregated courses in calculus, pre-calculus, and algebra.ETHS’s math curriculum for the next school year suggests that the segregated classes will continue. One of ETHS’s pre-calculus courses describes, “[t]he course is restricted to students who identify as Black male students.” While another pre-calculus course mentions that it is only for “Latinx” students, and a third course does not have any restrictions based on gender or race.

Well, I should have seen this coming, but I didn’t. Even I underestimate the willingness of the Democrats to use the threat of violence to force compliance with their demands. According to both Senators Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley, 15 Democrats from the Judiciary Committee have sent a letter to the Appropriations Committee asking that funding for the security that defends the lives of the Supreme Court Justices and their families be denied until the Court buckles to the demands of the Democrats.

State Sen. Shevrin Jones can often be seen at the Florida Capitol greeting staff and colleagues with a smile or laugh, but when he’s alone it’s a different story. “The outward expression is to show God’s love. That’s what I was taught,” said Jones, a Democrat. But, he said, “I have enough tears in my car to fill a lake.” For Jones, who is gay, the past two years have been emotionally draining as Florida passed a flurry of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation.CORRECTION*

The easiest way to cut through the pretending nonsense is to ask the obvious question, ‘Why now?‘
The Florida Republican Legislature is changing the Sunshine Laws in Florida to block people from reviewing the travel records of the Florida Governor. [HB1495 Link]
The claimed justification is security, to protect the governor and high-ranking state officials. However, the obvious timing of Ron DeSantis pending run for the White House, in combination with his administration refusing to give details on who/how the funding for his private charter flights have been taking place during the “book tour,” makes the new law much more suspicious as constructed.

Decades hence, when historians are seeking the exact moment when relations between the West and the Muslim world turned the corner to become a model of trust and mutual respect, they will land on the day the Biden administration reached out to help “Transgender Youth” in Pakistan. No, really. There are trans kids in Pakistan, and they need “professional development.” And now our far-sighted administration is offering a $500,000 grant to teach Pakistani kids English. One of the conditions of the grant is that the recipient provides “intensive professional development courses

Joe Biden's administration has blown more than $50 billion of taxpayer cash - three times the cost of Donald Trump's border wall - on top consulting firms since entering the White House.
A Daily Mail analysis of open-source U.S. government spending data shows that the 80-year-old racked up the eye-watering amount in just over two years on the job.
The figures could raise eyebrows amongst voters in key battleground states as ordinary Americans face a cost-of-living crisis and a rise in illegal immigration.

One way to account for the current societal insanity.
