RFK Jr., in his recent announcement of his candidacy for president, declared that he was going to do something truly radical if elected president: tell the truth, no matter how uncomfortable or unpopular (emphasis added):
"Truth is, when I was a little boy, nobody in this country would dream that our government would ever lie to the American people, in fact, and that’s not a joke. Nobody believed it back then. In May of 1960, that changed a little when Gary Powers crashes a U-2 in Russia and the Eisenhower administration denied that we had a U-2 program because they didn’t know it. They didn’t know at the time that

Just because you and yours believed all of your families lies and that of the CIA doesn't mean we all did Jr. But your ilk called us conspiracy nuts.

I have concluded that a majority of the American people either want to be lied to, because the lies suit their own comfortable agendas, or in their own self-absorption simply don't care.

The general acceptance of lying removes the possibility of differentiation between parties and specific politicians. Trump told us what his policies were and he acted consistently with that. When he failed such as completing the border wall, it was because he couldn't overcome the push back from others, not because he lied to us about his approach to the border crisis. Biden campaigned as a "moderate" and we have the most radical leftist administration in our history.
Trump boasted and bragged endlessly about the biggest crowds the most secure border in our history which often stretched well beyond any reasonable boundary on the truth. But on the fundamental policy level I can't think of a thing where he claimed to be he would go in one direction and headed in a 180 ° different direction.

Conservative media are fond these days of telling people to fight, stand up, and not tolerate what our government is doing. The only place that’s happening is in some school districts that got some liberals thrown out and I applaud them, but that is local. I’m too old and too wise to waste my time standing on corners carrying signs. Feels good I guess but it’s meaningless. I’d love to hear what they really expect us to do. Storm the Capitol? That’s already been tried.

Trump needs an ad with a clip of Joe during the presidential debate denying Hunter's laptop and calling it misinformation. And he needs clips of Joe Biden in his racist moments : high tech lynchings of Clarence Thomas and Janice Rodgers Brown.

A Kennedy that does not lie?!? Be still, my heart!
Allright, which party lies more? Democrats or Republicans? It might be the Republicans. The Democrats will tell you about their intentions for the most part. They will nail you right between the eyes with their intentions. People think they can't be that stupid or nobody will support them, but they are that stupid and people do support them. It's the Republicans that say one thing and do something 180 degrees opposite.

and replace all that tax income with what? there is some argument that it would save
on health cost expenditures but that would be way down the road. the loss of tax
rev would be immediate.

Biden’s first try at the Presidency was destroyed by plagiarism. But that’s cool.

in addition we also elect the dumbest of our population to political positions, especially the demcommies, who don't care about intelligence (Sheila Jackson, Rosa Delauro, Maxine Waters, AOC, Ayana Pressley, Hank Johnson and many others plus diapers and mattressback, for starters) as long as they can say: "Mr. Chairman, point of order"

For me, it was Bill Clinton saying that he smoked pot, but didn't inhale.
I was a Democrat but there was no way I was voting for a man who would lie to my face and tell me I wasn't supposed to care. Then, my party put him in the White House. I left the Democrat party and I've never looked back or regretted it.
Sure, Republicans lie as well. But they get called on it, they get caught and even prosecuted. At least more often than Democrats.
That's the way it should be.

A couple of days ago I saw a video clip that was a real breath of fresh air:

https://headlineusa.com/mtg-muzzled-during-hearing-for-calling-mayorkas-a-liar-on-fentanyl-deaths-border-crisis/
Mayokas was spouting his usual lies about the border when Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene called him out on it, and she Did Not Mince Words!
However, as usual, Leftist stooge Bennie Thompson objected and the committee chairman then 'struck her comment' and did not permit her to speak for the rest of the hearing.
I tried to send her an email thanking her, but I do not live in her district, and the Congressional message system would not allow me to send her a Thank You. So, I sent my thank-you note to MY congressman's office with a preface asking them to forward my thanks to her.

By the way, I really like one of the Kennedys.
But it's not the Democ'RATS from Taxachusetts.
It's Senator John Neely Kennedy from Louisiana.
Conservative, Smart, Quick-Witted, and a Great Sense of Humor!
