It is hard to believe Joe Biden can possibly go through with this. He is no longer capable of doing a live press conference, and couldn’t even manage a live re-election announcement. National Review reminds us that in 2019 Biden apparently told confidantes that he’d be a one-term president, that it was “inconceivable” that he’d run again in 2024.
So what’s behind this? And why so early? Reagan didn’t announce his re-election candidacy until early in 1984, though Bill Clinton announced his 1996 candidacy in April 1995. Therein likes the the beginning of an answer. In April 1995 Clinton’s poll numbers were still in the tank after the GOP landslide

Four more years is all Presidentish Joe Biden needs to “finish this job” he started on the nation in 2021. “I know we can,” he concluded in his pre-recorded re-election announcement video on Tuesday.
A pre-recorded announcement? When someone announces they’re running for president, it’s a massive public event featuring the biggest and most enthusiastic crowd the candidate can muster. When it’s a sitting president, the pageantry and the crowds are practically built in. But not for Doddering Joe, whose people had to trickle out a video because they can’t trust their man to draw a crowd, not to screw it all up, or wander the wrong direction off

A major weakness for the economy of China is centralized planning by its communist party, such as the one-child policy and “four modernizations” in 1978 which led to short term prosperity and an industrialized China, but also led to environmental degradation, income inequality, and corruption.
There are other central planning failures such as its high-speed rail system which by the end of September 2021 was losing over $830 billion. Real estate was another area of failure, with dozens of ghost cities built for thousands of people with no occupants. The real estate bubble which burst bankrupting giants such as Evergrande and other real estate companies is another failure of central planning

Happy Monday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. Sasha kept unwanted suitors at bay with a strong combination of tea tree oil and biting sarcasm.
The United States of America is currently burdened by the fact that Joe Biden’s handlers want him to be in office until he’s 612 years old. Given the fact that the Dems don’t care if their elected officials are demented, debilitated, or — in some cases — dead, it’s difficult to see how to get rid of their walking wounded.
Enter one Robert Francis Kennedy Jr.

ESPN launched in 1979 as the Entertainment and Sports Network, broadcasting on cable and satellite television, focusing on sports programming.
ESPN in recent years discovered a new sport, wokeness, in keeping with most of corporate America. From the usual America bashing to playing Chinese genocide apologist, sports has become a sideshow for ESPN with their main event competing with CNN, MSNBC, and the New York Times in the woke world series.
Women’s sports have come a long way over the past decades, with most sports having both men’s and women’s divisions, including world championships and the Olympic Games. But wokeness and leftist groupthink is threatening to send women athletes to the back

The pro-legal weed Hochul administration is quietly trying to fire up support for a complete ban on the sale of tobacco products in New York, The Post has learned.
The state Health Department commissioned a new survey aimed at gauging support for an all-out prohibition — despite Gov. Hochul’s failure to secure support from state legislators to include a ban on menthol cigarettes and other flavored tobacco products in the yet-to-be-approved state budget.
“What is your opinion about a policy that would end the sale of all tobacco products in New York within 10 years?” were among the questions asked last week in the “New York Local Opinion Leaders Survey,”

RFK Jr., in his recent announcement of his candidacy for president, declared that he was going to do something truly radical if elected president: tell the truth, no matter how uncomfortable or unpopular (emphasis added):
"Truth is, when I was a little boy, nobody in this country would dream that our government would ever lie to the American people, in fact, and that’s not a joke. Nobody believed it back then. In May of 1960, that changed a little when Gary Powers crashes a U-2 in Russia and the Eisenhower administration denied that we had a U-2 program because they didn’t know it. They didn’t know at the time that

Doubtless your mother used to tell you to count your blessings. It was good advice. Your situation may be bad. In the case of the United States, things indisputably are bad, and worsening. You know that. But look on the bright side. Sure Merrick Garland, the first American Gothic attorney general of the United States, is a partisan horror show, withholding real protection from Supreme Court justices who are threatened by violent criminals even as he stigmatizes as “domestic terrorists” parents who criticize their local school boards and orders the FBI to conduct dawn raids on critics of the regime. He is a horrible man and a dangerous partisan hack,

Jimmy Kimmel may never stop apologizing for making bikini models bounce on trampolines.
That bit became part of The Man Show lore, and something no modern program would attempt today.
Kimmel’s Comedy Central series, co-hosted by Adam Carolla, embraced faux misogyny and so-called toxic masculinity.
So Kimmel uses his late-night ABC perch to make amends, hoping the woke mob won’t “rediscover” his problematic jokes of yore. (Snip) How? By embracing a hard-Left mindset and throwing out progressive talking points on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Case in point, this comment about arming school teachers to prevent future shootings.
“What a remarkably stupid and dangerous idea,” Kimmel said. He joked that if this had

The media love affair with the most suspicious person involved with the Left’s Jan. 6 hoax, Ray Epps, continues. On Sunday evening, 60 Minutes is planning to air a profile of Epps, a man whom they claim has been unjustly vilified in the conservative media. In doing so, they’re just calling new attention to the gaping holes in their Jan. 6 propaganda narrative.
The Leftist political and media elites have been insisting ever since Jan. 6, 2021, that the disturbance at the Capitol on that day constituted an “insurrection,” an actual attempt to overthrow the government of the United States and, presumably, to install Donald Trump as a dictator.

On April 21, Tim Meads of the Daily Wire reported that nothing has come of the $1 billion in funding provided to the NIH for "Long COVID" research.
He is right. A brief internet search for "Long COVID" reveals a common sentiment along the lines of "scientists don't know what causes Long COVID." Even the latest NIH publication from March of 2022 (over a year ago) says, "Scientists don't know for sure what causes Long COVID."
This is amazing, since it took only a fraction of that time to come up with a miracle "cure" for COVID and distribute it all over the world.

At Billboard magazine, they are reporting that Sony is in talks for a $300 million buyout deal for a big record label, Rimas, that manages, records and produces a slew of top rappers, including the big one at the moment, someone who raps under the name "Bad Bunny": (Snip) That's quite an accomplishment for a guy who laid down a $2 million investment and in the buyout is expected to take out more than a hundred million dollars. Jimenez's majority ownership in Rimas was revealed in the wake of a lawsuit by an angry ex-wife of Jimenez's partner, Noah Assad, who wanted a greater share of the divorce spoils.
