Hunter Biden filed a lawsuit against the computer repair man, John Paul Mac Isaac, who turned over the files on the laptop to the New York Post ahead of the 2020 presidential election.
Hunter Biden “had more than a reasonable expectation of privacy that any data that he created or maintained,” the lawsuit filed with a Delaware federal court on Thursday stated. The president’s son was under the impression it “would not be accessed, copied, disseminated, or posted on the Internet for others to use against him or his family or for the public to view.”
Lawyers representing Hunter Biden have challenged Mac Isaac’s assertion that his failure to retrieve the laptop

But we were told by 50 of the 'best and brightest' that the laptop was Russian disinformation. Either they were lying then, or Hunter is lying now.

He and his lawyers know the jig is up so they have to try everything and anything, hoping to stall and obfuscate.
This isn't to say he'll be indicted, but he has little other choice now. He's a cornered, rabid dog.

It seems to me that signing a legally binding contract to repair the laptop trumps any state law.
For example, state law says that I own my car. If I sign the title over to someone else, I no longer own the car.

But everything is already out - - everywhere. All the crimes - - all the perversions - - everyone knows them - - and they can't be taken back.
So what is this lawsuit supposed to accomplish? To browbeat and harass a half-blind former computer repairman? Gee - - how swell of this perverted Biden!

Good luck with that...he signed a work order that stated what would happen if he didn't pay, didn't pick up his hardware dropped off to be worked on.
They seem to think because a different court in a different place treated his sister/nieces abandoned diary as "Stolen" from the post rehap halfway house, that his laptops/hardrives jn a commercial shop will be as well.

Respectfully disagree, fellow "conservatives," as there is no question the computer repairman has right to possess, use, exploit, sell, give away or otherwise dispose of the abandoned HARDWARE (the physical laptop itself) but that right does not extend to the SOFTWARE inside. Consider: You "abandon" your computer in the same way Hunter did and it contained a folder detailing the revolutionary device you had invented and were just about to patent. Would you sue the repairman who published that patent information and disseminated it to the world? You know damned well you would and that is exactly what Hunter is doing. Much as I loathe and despise you and your dad, Hunter, I'm on your side here.

Obviously a harassment suit, and trying to change the subject.
Hunter took his laptop into the repair shop (stupid move), and left it that after the date where he had claim to it any longer, which became the property of the repair shop.
Now, the guy at the repair shop realized a lot of "stuff" was on it, and he needed to alert someone.
Presume he made a copy to ensure he was protecting himself in case "that someone" decided to claim things that weren't true. Sort of like his "little blue dress", insurance.
Again, it's now his property, so he can do what he needs to do, presumably, but looks like Hunter's legal counsel is trying to confuse people (Democrat constituents and their pliable media).

Right on cue, these "men of the people," are ruining another working man's life. Democrats purport to be the saviors of the little guy yet they relentlessly and giddily destroy honest hard working men and women, like bakers, florists, police officers and computer repair guys. Someone needs to come up with a new word for hypocrisy, as hypocrisy doesn't even begin to describe the dishonesty of these creeps.
The Biden family and this entire regime, these odious creatures, are examples of the absolute worst that humans can be. And to those on this site that say everything, every perversion, etc., on that laptop is has been made public, I think you may be wrong. Giuliani, Miranda Devine, Tucker, and others have intimated that Hunter's excesses and perversions are beyond disgusting. And, I suspect, Hunter is not the only one in that family and Biden's administration to engage in debauched excesses. In fact, he is the perfect poster child for his family and Biden's administration of perverts, miscreants and degenerates.

Hunter knew when he left his laptop that he had to pay for any repairs within 90 days. He didn’t come back for it. He didn’t pay. It became the property of the repairman.
He will gain nothing by suing the repairman.

The HARDWARE includes the hard drive or other nonvolatile memory. The SOFTWARE with licenses is not owned by the person who installs it. The DATA, if not covered by any non disclosure agreement or privacy statement, is part of the hardware. I say Hunter is further into the hole and digging furiously.

I suspect the legal argument is: "We're not saying this is Hunter's laptop, but Mac Isaac stole it." Mac Isaac is the hero in all this. If he hadn't had more integrity than the FBI, no one would have ever heard of the laptop.
