Happy Wednesday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) I left California five years ago for a variety of reasons, the politics there being a big part of what made me cut out after more than two decades. When I returned to my native Arizona, things weren’t as red as they were when I’d left it, but they hadn’t descended into purplish/blue madness.
My how quickly times can change.
Nine months after I returned, Kyrsten Sinema was elected to the Senate. Arizona hadn’t had a Democrat there in over 20 years. That was an adjustment.
Things got worse when Mark “I’M AN ASTRONAUT!” Kelly was elected to fill the remainder

The Biden administration announced late Tuesday that it would reverse a Trump-era land swap deal facilitating the construction, in an Alaska wilderness area, of a potentially life-saving road opposed by environmental groups.
The Department of the Interior (DOI) withdrew the land exchange — which had been finalized by former Interior Secretary David Bernhardt in 2019 and aggressively defended in court by the Biden administration — and explained that it contained procedural flaws and wasn't consistent with agency policy. DOI Secretary Deb Haaland said the agency would initiate another environmental analysis of the proposal as part of President Biden’s conservation agenda.

There are striking parallels -- and contrasts -- between Jimmy Carter’s leadership during the 1970s Oil Crisis and Joe Biden’s initiatives during the current “Climate” Crisis. The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) instigated the 1973 crisis in U.S. gasoline prices that sparked inflation, and Jimmy Carter responded by supporting conservation and alternative energy plans (as well as a shift to “plentiful coal”). In contrast, Joe Biden seeded current fuel price inflation with wasteful overspending and attacks on oil production, and embraces yet more inefficient spending on renewable manufacturing projects that accelerate pollution and increase American vulnerability to China and Russia.

Megyn Kelly covered the disgrace of Stanford Law School on her Sirius XM/podcast show yesterday. She invited Tim Rosenberger to discuss the disgrace. Rosenberger is the president of Stanford Law School’s Federalist Society chapter and hosted Fifth Circuit Judge Kyle Duncan at the shoutdown. In the video of the segment below, Megyn Kelly mocks Stanford DEI Dean Tirien Steinbach. Rosenberger does a good job discussing the event. Kelly deserves some kind of award for her gifted mimicry of Steinbach. I found it hilarious.
At last word, Steinbach is still on the case at Stanford and the con law students of Dean Jenny Martinez are harassing her for (mildly) condemning the shoutdown.

In his characteristically clumsy fashion, Old Joe Biden has revealed that former President Jimmy Carter has bestowed upon him a singular honor: “He asked me to do his eulogy — excuse me, I shouldn’t say that,” Biden said at a fundraiser in Rancho Santa Fe, California on Tuesday. When that day arrives, no matter how poorly Old Joe delivers what is certain to be a farrago of lies, half-truths, historical revisionism, and self-serving distortion, there will be a certain fitting aspect to the entire occasion: the previous holder of the title of Worst President in American History will be eulogized by the current holder of the title.

Old Joe Biden appeared on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show Monday night, where the guest host Kal Penn, star of the deathless classic Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, asked him about same-sex marriage and boys who want to become girls and girls boys. In response, Biden struck a moral tone, suggesting that support for same-sex marriage and the genital mutilation of children in pursuit of delusions and fantasies was simply the decent position to take, and darn it, Lunchbucket Joe didn’t see why it had to be any more complicated than that.
As we have all come to expect by now, Biden lied when he told a story

What’s worse, physical evil from an open enemy, or clandestine evil from a supposed friend?
One need look no further than to Islam and the so-called “Left” — in this case, in the guise of the K-through-college education system — to appreciate the distinction.
First, consider the Islamic institution of slave-soldiery. For many centuries in those southeastern European regions that were subjugated by Islam, especially in the Balkans, the Turks compelled Christian families to make an annual blood tribute of their own sons.
The Muslims would select the strongest, healthiest, and most talented young European boys and then march them off to the Ottoman heartland. There, the youths would be forcibly converted

There are few bigger cultural issues being fought over right now than the medical transition of children under the guise of so-called “gender-affirming care.” The mainstream of the Democratic Party has now decided that chopping the breasts off young girls and chemically castrating young boys is not just a right, but a moral necessity.
Unfortunately, as RedState reported on Sunday, there are some (ostensibly) on the right who would rather make overwrought philosophical arguments than actually face this harmful scourage head-on. But if anyone doubts how serious the situation is, here’s the President of the United States arguing that it’s “sinful” to not mutilate children suffering from gender delusions.

Stanford Law School students savagely criticized the school and one of its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion deans in a piece in the school’s publication, “Stanford Review,” with this simple but powerful headline atop its front page: “Fire Tirien Steinbach.” [Tweet] As RedState’s Jim Thompson reported, Steinbach, Stanford Law’s Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, joined students in heckling and screaming at Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals judge Kyle Duncan who was attempting to deliver a speech. When the judge asked for an administrator to intervene, Steinbach instead piled on and launched into a six-minute tirade claiming Duncan was “literally denying the humanity of people.”

Former White House press secretary-turned-MSNBC host Jen Psaki revealed on Monday that President Joe Biden is a "night owl."
According to her, his early morning remarks at 9 a.m. show just how "vital" he considers the Silicon Valley Bank collapse to be. It is important to note President Biden does nothing at 9 a.m. He is a night owl. So, the fact that he is doing this at 9 a.m. anyway speaks to how vital the White House recognizes it is for him to have his voice out there conveying that to the American public," she said on Morning Joe, prior to the president's speech.
Psaki added that

The conservative case for transing the kids has been made, and you’ll be less than shocked to learn that it came from the newly-minted “conservative” columnist at The New York Times.
David French has settled right into his new digs, writing critical screeds about Donald Trump and Tucker Carlson interlaced with calls to spend unlimited amounts of money in Ukraine. I suppose that would be fine if French’s hiring wasn’t billed as an expansion of ideological thought at the Times.
Regardless, his latest Sunday column may be the worst yet, both in its pathetic drawing of false equivalencies, and the logic used to make them. One specific passage is making

Happy Monday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) We here on the right have long known that the Biden family has business ties all over the place that are rather unsavory. Honestly, most people on the left do too, they just don’t care. That’s why various forms of leftmedia were scrambling before the 2020 election to pretend Hunter Biden’s laptop was a nothingburger story. Their overreaction was the only reaction we needed to know that we were correct.
There is no bombshell news, but it looks like some progress has been made in exposing the depths of the Biden business depravity, especially when it comes to the commies in
