Nurses at Children’s Minnesota are working to ensure health care workers understand how to properly care for textured hair. Over the last year and a half, the hospital system has implemented hair care training and added products for textured hair. (snip) The hospital has launched training videos to teach health care workers how to care for different hair textures and how to approach the conversation with families.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has released the identity of the man who was shot and killed by St. Paul police officers on Saturday. The Ramsey County medical examiner said that Yia Xiong, 65, of St. Paul, died of multiple gunshot wounds.
The BCA also identified the two officers involved in the use-of-force incident:
Officer Abdirahman Dahir, who has one year of law enforcement experience, fired his department rifle.
Officer Noushue Cha, who has one year of law enforcement experience, deployed his taser.

An apocalyptic scene has unfolded in Frederick, Maryland where an overturned gas tanker exploded into a massive fireball killing the driver and setting nearby homes and cars alight.
Hazmat teams have responded to the incident along with emergency crews with reports of a 'burning smell' filling the area.
Footage filmed by residents, some of whom were seen gawking nearby the huge blaze, shows large plumes of black smoke, ash and embers billowing from the crash site.
