An interesting 10 minute video showing the timeline of local media reports and citizen reports of the train derailment and subsequent chemical disaster in/around East Palestine, Ohio.
The video takes the viewer through the initial train derailment, then shows citizens raw footage video of the next several days, including the impacts from the decision of the authorities to detonate and “burn off” the destabilizing and toxic chemicals. WATCH:

Butt Pete's on the job. No, wait a minute, Butt Pete's not on the job. He's too busy complaining about the identity of contractors who build things. Checking the Biden Identity Boxes. Meanwhile in East Palestine, poison is spreading throughout Ohio, PA, KY and WV. The Ohio River is contaminated. Butt Pete has more important things to do. Remember this when the Butt runs for POTUS.

".the decision of the authorities to detonate..."
What did they use to detonate it? I had heard someplace that they fired anti-tank missiles at the cars from a safe distance....then nothing more. It's not like they could just walk up to it, set a charge, and run away when everything went boom. I'm guessing the Military HAD to be involved...who did what, who gave the orders?

I can't tell you how angry this makes me. Not one more penny to Ukraine. What about our own infrastructure. This should not have happened. People are going to die from this. They better start paying attention to this and get this area some help. I miss President Trump. He at least cares about Amierican people. Trump would be putting America first.

Why did they decide to set it on fire when it could have safely been pumped. The Geneva Convention does not allow chemical warfare. What the heck is going on? Lord knows what kind of terrorists have been allowed in our country with expert knowledge on how to derail trains. Why did we close our pipelines knowing that we would have to depend on trains to transport hazardous materials?

But #3 we had the zillion dollar infrastructure bill that was supposed to rebuild things like our rail system. Where did all that money go? Into the pockets of corrupt democrat politicians to stop climate change and insure equity. They just put more pollutants into the air then just about anything other then a major volcano.

I think this is going to Blow Up in Biden's Face. His People haven't even gone to see what is going on. The President isn't talking about it, and people who live in East Palestine are beginning to show up on TV (well, at least FOX is covering it). If anyone dies due to this Train Wreck and the Toxic Fumes that came from that Fire, it's going to be HUGE News!

We need a meteorologist to talk about that inversion layer that held the smoke in. Was that able to be determined BEFORE they blew up the tankers? Smoke does usually dissipate but weather conditions did not allow that to happen. Is that a rare weather phenomenon?
And I’m going to keep asking this question: who gave the order to blow them up? Video just says “authorities”.

I can understand 1 derailment, because it does happen. But there have been three if the media is right, and that is just too much of a coincidence to my mind. Isn't this also Amish country as well? Those folks are probably the most self sufficient population centers in the entire eastern part of the nation.
If democrats didn't have a clue about Biden before, the possible death toll coming from this should wake them up.

FWIW, Ohio, South Carolina and Texas were states won by President Trump in 2016 and 2020. Might be interesting to learn the states won by President Trump in 2016 and 2020 that may have incurred destruction of facilities such as meat packing plants, poultry farms, etc., by fire or other means vital to this country’s food supply chain.

“As an environmental health and safety professional, who teaches emergency response to hazardous materials and has also done hazardous materials response, I would like to expand upon some of the issues brought up in media reports covering this event.
“One of the critical considerations in assessing the response to this incident is that both vinyl chloride and ethylhexyl acrylate (two of the chemicals being shipped in tank cars) can undergo hazardous polymerization. This means at elevated temperatures, the small molecules will join together to form larger molecules and release a lot of energy and toxic compounds while doing so.
“Isobutylene is a flammable gas, and under prolonged exposure to fire or heat, CONTAINERS OF THIS MATERIAL MAY RUPTURE VIOLENTLY AND ROCKET.
“THEREFORE, IF THE RESPONDERS COULD NOT CONTROL THOSE THREE TANKS’ TEMPERATURES, THEN THE BEST OPTION WOULD BE TO BURN THE MATERIAL IN PLACE. Otherwise, instead of 5 burning tanks releasing decomposition products, there may have been three or more exploding tanks….which would have released the same decomposition products but could have caused substantially more physical devastation.
“Norfolk Southern Railway Regional Manager Hazardous Materials Scott Deutsch defended the decision and said BY BURNING THE CHEMICALS DURING THE DAY, FUMES COULD “DISPERSE MORE QUICKLY” according to Cleveland.com. IF THE RAIL CARS HAD EXPLODED, DEBRIS WOULD BE UNABLE TO BE CONTROLLED AND COULD CAUSE MORE HARM, according to Deutsch.
“Anytime there is a train derailment, there is the potential for a catastrophic event. However, rail is the most efficient and safe way to transport most materials, including chemicals vital to industry and agriculture.
“This incident highlights the need to get to the root cause of this derailment and make the necessary corrections.”
