Conservative author and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy is “seriously considering” a 2024 presidential bid after traveling to Iowa in January, he confirmed to the Daily Caller on Monday.
Ramaswamy spoke with Iowa farmers and Republican leaders about reviving national identity and combatting woke ideology, the subject of his bestseller “Woke, Inc.: Inside Corporate America’s Social Justice Scam,” published in 2021. “I would say I’m seriously considering it, that’s where I’m at,” Ramaswamy told the Caller in a brief interview. He believes “we are in the middle of this national identity crisis” because “the things that used to define American national identity have disappeared.”

Project Veritas’ latest undercover sting may have been its most insane yet. ... James O’Keefe, confronts a man named Jordon Trishton Walker after a secretly-recorded admission that Pfizer is mutating COVID-19 to create vaccines.... Now, after days of silence, Pfizer has finally responded. In a lengthy statement, the pharmaceutical company ... claims it does not perform gain-of-function research. There’s a lot of doublespeak and hiding behind language there ... it goes on to admit that in a “limited number of cases,” the company engineers the COVID-19 virus to “enable the assessment of antiviral activity in cells.” That seems like it requires a lot more explanation...

Ronna McDaniel won a fourth term to head the Republican National Committee (RNC) during a secret ballot vote by members on Friday, capping off a contentious election spurred by calls within the party for new leadership.
McDaniel fended off two challengers — California attorney Harmeet Dhillon and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, a staunch denier of the 2020 presidential election results.
She received 111 votes, while Dhillon received 51 and Lindell received four. Former Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.), who did not ultimately make a run for RNC chair, also received one vote.

Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria, Virginia, reportedly failed to include honors class designations on its transcripts, according to a parent activist organization.
The transcripts of over 2,000 students at the elite northern Virginia high school do not designate which classes were considered honors courses, according to the parent activist group Parents Defending Education. Such classes are given an additional grade point weight of +0.5.
Parents Defending Education said it received numerous transcripts from parents in Fairfax County Public Schools whose children attended a number of different schools within the district, but only the transcripts from Thomas Jefferson High School failed to include the honors designation.

Justice Department investigators on Friday found additional classified material after conducting a search of President Joe Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware, home, the president’s personal attorney said in a statement.
Bob Bauer said that during the search, which took place over nearly 12 hours Friday, “DOJ took possession of materials it deemed within the scope of its inquiry, including six items consisting of documents with classification markings and surrounding materials, some of which were from the President’s service in the Senate and some of which were from his tenure as Vice President. ... Those six items are in addition to materials previously found at Biden’s Wilmington residence and in his private office.

It has seemed that they’re slow-walking the calls for the outstanding races in the House, even when some of them are separated by more than a couple of points. It’s five days after the election and we still don’t know the results for control of the House. I last updated this two days ago. But if there’s anything that needs to be addressed going forward, it’s this concept being pushed that it’s somehow normal to take “days” or even “weeks” to get to a result in the election.
We now have another official call from Decision Desk in the OR-5 race. Republican Lori Chavez-DeRemer defeats Democrat Jamie McLeod-Skinner, 51.4 to 48.86.

U.S. military prosecutors are reportedly negotiating potential plea deals with 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other conspirators imprisoned in Guantanamo Bay.
The plea deals may allow the five dependents to escape a potential death penalty, according to CBS. Mohammed is widely credited with being the architect of the 9/11 terror attacks. The other four defendants are Ramzi Binalshibh, Mustafa Ahmed al-Hawsawi, Walid bin Attash and Ammar al-Baluchi.
Attorneys for the defendants reportedly say they would be willing to enter a guilty plea in exchange for taking the death penalty off the table, as well as for getting treatment for alleged torture they experienced while in CIA custody.

Republican lawmakers say that President Biden's chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci leaving his government post won't stop them from holding him "accountable...."
Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., who sparred many times with Fauci in the Senate, said, "Fauci’s resignation will not prevent a full-throated investigation into the origins of the pandemic."
"He will be asked to testify under oath regarding any discussions he participated in concerning the lab leak," Paul told Fox News Digital in a statement.
"Retirement can’t shield Dr. Fauci from congressional oversight," House Oversight Committee ranking member James Comer, R-Ky., wrote on Twitter.

Dr. Anthony Fauci announced Monday that he will retire at the end of the year.
Fauci will be stepping down in December from his positions as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, chief of the NIAID's Laboratory of Immunoregulation, and chief medical adviser to President Joe Biden, according to the National Institutes of Health.
"While I am moving on from my current positions, I am not retiring," Fauci said. "After more than 50 years of government service, I plan to pursue the next phase of my career while I still have so much energy and passion for my field.

North Carolina State Sen. Chuck Edwards (R) unseated Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) in the state’s 11th congressional district primary.
Dave Wasserman, the House editor of the Cook Political Report, reported that Cawthorn lost his renomination to state Sen. Edwards. Cawthorn faced increasing attacks from the left and establishment media outlets over many issues ... “I’ve really never seen the swamp launch such a coordinated attack against any individual in politics except for Donald Trump,” Cawthorn said in reaction to the attacks against him.
Former Texas Gov. and Trump Energy Secretary Rick Perry endorsed Edwards during the 11th congressional district primary.

I hate that I even have to write this article given my distaste for Dr. Mehmet Oz. It’s my opinion that Kathy Barnette has crossed a line in Pennsylvania, and we need to talk about it.
Barnette, who is running for the GOP Senate nomination in the state, has been locked in a fierce battle with Oz and Dave McCormick, the latter of whom has moved into third place in most polls. Now, she’s letting it be known that she will not support any of the other Republicans if she loses the primary. This is a big red flag ...

Inflation rose again in April, continuing a climb that has pushed consumers to the brink and is threatening the economic expansion, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Wednesday.
The consumer price index, a broad-based measure of prices for goods and services, increased 8.3% from a year ago, higher than the Dow Jones estimate for an 8.1% gain.
Removing volatile food and energy prices, so-called core CPI still rose 6.2%, against expectations for a 6% gain.
Inflation has been the single biggest threat to a recovery that began early in the pandemic and saw the economy in 2021 stage its biggest single-year growth level since 1984.
