The Guardian just reported the results of a study of 2 million-year-old DNA found in northern Greenland.
Two-million-year-old DNA from northern Greenland has revealed that the region was once home to mastodons, lemmings and geese, offering unprecedented insights into how climate change can shape ecosystems.
The breakthrough in ancient DNA analysis pushes back the DNA record by 1m years to a time when the Arctic region was 11-19C warmer than the present day. The analysis reveals that the northern peninsula of Greenland, now a polar desert, once featured boreal forests of poplar and birch trees teeming with wildlife. The work offers clues to how species might adapt,

The author sent this correction after I posted the article here:
In my reflections this evening on a report in the Guardian about northern Greenland’s climate 2 million years ago, I made a significant error in my conversion of Celsius to Fahrenheit. Special thanks to reader D. Goldin, Ph.D. for quickly pointing out the correct conversion of 11-19C warmer is 20-34F warmer.

Are we now going to see a shift to government concern about global cooling?
Listen folks, God made this world and He can control it. We cannot.
But one thing is for sure, stop drop and roll will not work for anyone in hell.

If it was that warm, how did the Polar Bear survive and make it to current times?

Those 1,997,978 BC model year SUVs were nasty polluters, no catalytic converters or EFI, and they weighted 8 tons since the bodies were carved out of rock.

Wow! And they must have had gasoline powered cars and fossil fuel power generation That would be the only reason for such a warm climate there..

Reports such as this have been around for years. Ice samples taken from deep in Antartica ice revealed the same thing. The climate was a lot warmer millions of years ago. I don't recall if these results compensated for continental drift. The continents are constantly moving riding on tectonic plates. So, Greenland may have been farther south two million years ago. In any event, the climate changes all on its own. The problem with these green clowns, is that to them, climate change is all man's fault. Natural climate change doesn't exist.

If man-made climate change did not exist, the government would have to rob us by stoking more fear in volcanoes, rogue asteroids and a shorter path to COVID-87.

Great article, totally backs up what I've been pointing out for years: 20,000 years ago the land upon which NYC and Chicago sits today was buried beneath a mile deep sheet of glacial ice. So what made that ice sheet melt and recede? SUVs? Aerosol spray cans? Farting cows? None of the above. The truth is that "climate change" is a naturally occurring event - the Earth freezes up then heats up in a never ending cycle, driven primarily by solar activity and the Earth's tectonics. This nonsense about "man-made climate change" is nothing but a ruse designed by some very bad people who use it as a vehicle with which to impose their desired socioeconomic (i,e, Marxist) policies..The truth is out there, as evidenced by this article. The question is whether the brain-dead Millennial automatons and their Boomer predecessors will open their eyes to that truth.

Blame God. Blame PRESIDENT Trump. Blame the SUV. Blame fossil fuels, blame mankind, but we all know it’s Mother Nature’s fault! (She will control nature no matter what the “greenies” try to impose on us)

How about 15,000 years ago during the last ice age when ice was a mile thick over Canada?

It is no longer being denied that the Climate Change movement is not about the environment but about controlling the world economic and political order. If past temperatures can be used to promote the ‘narrative’ well and good. If not, who cares.

#s 10 and 16 do well to mention continental drift, though we need to bear in mind that the continents move no more than a couple of hundred miles in 2 Million years (probably closer to a hundred miles). The area of Greenland where these fossils are found was not close to the equator at that time.

And NONE of that climate change had anything whatsoever to do with human activity, since human's didn't exist.
And yet, somehow, the climate just CHANGES, all by itself....for millions and millions of years, and has NOTHING to do with humans. We just react to these external changes and adapt.
And the scammers keep trying to blame everything on humans, so they can get money and power.
The scam started with the witch doctors tossing virgins into volcanoes.....after a couple of nights staying in the witch doc's hut, of course, and then shut them up about it forever.
Scams for power and money, going on for centuries, and still there are so many fools who bite.

Saw this in my local paper today and laughed.
Folks, it's not about warming or anything like that, their agenda is pollution, and how to clean up those emissions which happen to be GHG.
Now, some actually believe it's about GW, or now climate change, but they likely believed everything Fauci said too.
How many places have dry lake beds, hundreds or thousands, of miles from the Coast? Many are salt beds.
Read recently the recent forest fire in Northern California spewed 20 years of CO2 into the air.
They don't have that in their models.
Nor, do they have the recent volcanic activity belching all sorts of things into the air.

When the author screws up on a simple celcius to fahrenheit conversion it allows people to argue if you can't get that right how can you be trusted with anything more complicated.

So I guess this means that the two degrees the enviro-nazis claim is doomsday, don’t matter after all? Isn’t that what we normals have been trying to tell the crazies for decades?

That was then. This is now. I'm still trying to wrap my brain around how the geese and the lemmings got rid of the mastodon! Wish I hadn't gotten rid of all my sweaters when we got over Jimmy Carter.

I’m surprised the Guardian reported this. They will get a reprimand from those who are seeking to rule the world by climate change panic.
