When I wrote about the climate “loss and damage pact” yesterday, I noted that Climate Czar John Kerry distanced himself from the term “reparations.”
The US and other developed nations have long sought to avoid such provisions that could open them up to legal liability and lawsuits from other countries. And in previous public remarks, US Climate Envoy John Kerry had said loss and damage was not the same thing as climate reparations.
“‘Reparations’ is not a word or a term that has been used in this context,” Kerry said on a recent call with reporters earlier this month. He added: “We have always said that it is imperative

Advocates of wind and solar energy have argued that the cost of those energy sources would decline over time as they are more widely adopted. That never made any sense, and it has not proved true. In fact, the cost of both wind and solar energy is destined to continue rising sharply as the massive quantities of materials they require become more expensive as a result of increasing demand, driven by ill-advised (the politest adjective I can think of) government mandates and subsidies.
In fact, the cost of electricity generated by wind and solar is already skyrocketing. My colleague Isaac Orr reproduced this chart at American Experiment.

Days after the Club Q shooting in Colorado Springs, Colo., the suspect has been formally charged, but no motive has been revealed.
“A day after the 22-year-old man who allegedly opened fire inside a nightclub haven for Colorado Springs’s LGBTQ community was preliminarily charged with murder and hate crimes, investigators continued seeking a motive Tuesday behind the nation’s most recent mass shooting,” the Washington Post reported Tuesday.
Democrats pounced on the shooting, immediately concluding that it was a targeted attack on the LGBTQ community and using it to attack Republicans.

The joke these days is that if you put the Bill of Rights to a vote, it would lose. The latest example of this decline in intelligence is Oregon, where voters narrowly passed an anti-gun measure so ghastly that the Second Amendment has been “rendered superfluous.” Now, there’s a run on gun stores, and civil liberties advocates have begun the fight to once again “secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity” and reclaim the rights the Declaration of Independence stated were “self-evident” and “endowed by our Creator.”
Don’t kid yourself: It’ll be a tough sell in Oregon, where wokeness

Amid bombshell revelations that the FBI embedded numerous informants in two militia groups accused of plotting to overthrow the government on January 6, FBI Director Christopher Wray finally is facing some heat.
During a House Homeland Security Committee hearing on Tuesday, Representative Clay Higgins (R-La.) angrily demanded to know more details about the use of FBI informants related to the Capitol protest. Higgins twice asked Wray whether FBI informants disguised as Trump supporters were planted inside the building even before protesters gained entry.
When Wray offered his usual obfuscating tap dance about protecting sources and methods—“the suggestion that the FBI’s confidential human sources or FBI employees

Al Sharpton was BLM before there was a BLM and its grift is closely modeled on his work and that of Jesse Jackson.
Sharpton’s habits aren’t news to anyone. The latest developments just reaffirm that the National Action Network is not only Sharpton’s political platform, but maintains his lifestyle.
Rev. Al Sharpton’s charity nearly doubled his compensation and also shelled out close to $300,000 for private jets so that he and other bigwigs could attend “important gatherings.”
The National Action Network paid Sharpton $348,174 in 2021 as its president and CEO and gave him a hefty bonus of $278,503 — plus $22,117 worth of benefits for total compensation of $648,794,

Back in January of this year, the Canadian province of Quebec announced a plan to impose a tax on the unvaccinated. Officials there claimed that most of the impacts on the healthcare system were being caused by unvaccinated people and that the vaccinated should not be made to shoulder the costs. The following month, after a large outcry from the public, the plan was scrapped. But the government never gave up on the idea entirely. Some are still suggesting that the plan could be retooled and brought up for consideration again.
In case that idea moves forward in a substantial way, we should take a look

A year after one of the most controversial finishes in the history of Formula One, Sunday’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was anything but.
Max Verstappen, as usual this season, was far ahead of the rest on his way to a record-extending 15th win of the season.
“Incredible to win again here, 15th win of the season is unbelievable,” Verstappen said. “It’s been really enjoyable to work with the whole team and to be able to achieve something like this this year.”

After a judge concluded that the public interest trumps the right to privacy, dozens of court documents related to Jeffrey Epstein’s contacts will be made public, according to a report.
On Friday, Judge Loretta Preska ordered that sealed documents about eight Epstein associates must be unsealed despite the assertion of one of the subjects that the release of the documents would “wrongfully harm (his) privacy and reputation.”
“Among those whose names are mentioned in the documents are Emmy Tayler, Ghislaine Maxwell’s former personal assistant, who was accused of taking part in the sexual abuse of minors,” the Daily Mail reports. “Judge Preska overrode objections from Tom Pritzker, the

Newly released bodycam footage shows the moment Arkansas police wake up a Tyson Foods executive after he allegedly passed out drunk in a stranger’s bed earlier this month.
Tyson CFO John Tyson appears disoriented and even tries to go back to sleep in the early morning ordeal on Nov. 6 as a Fayetteville police officer informs him he’s sleeping in someone else’s home.
“Mr. Tyson! John! Fayetteville Police Department, you’re not in your house,'” an officer loudly tells Tyson as he’s snuggled beneath the covers in his underwear, according to the footage obtained by Vice.
The 32-year-old scion of the Tyson meatpacking empire raises his head and briefly looks at the police officers

A few days ago we asked how much longer do we have to wait for the "first-day affidavit" in the FTX bankruptcy, traditionally the most detailed and comprehensive summary of how any given company collapsed into Chapter 11 (and in FTX's case, Chapter 7 soon, as this will soon become a full-blown liquidation)... (Snip) ... and this morning we finally got our answer when it hit the docket (22-11068, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware), almost a full week after FTX filed on Nov 11... and boy is it a doozy.
Because how else would one describe it when FTX's new CEO and liquidator, John Ray III,

As most are well aware by now, the disgraced founder of FTX Sam Bankman-Fried was the Democrat party’s second-largest donor just behind George Soros.
As reported by The Gateway Pundit, in the 2020 presidential election, Bankman-Fried dished millions to the Biden campaign and followed it up by handing out over $40 million dollars to democrats in the 2022 primaries and midterms.
Forbes reported last year that Bankman-Fried also donated to six RINOs who voted to impeach President Trump. (Snip) As previously reported, Bankman-Fried’s balance sheet contained an asset worth over $7 million called “TrumpLose.”
CEO of Citadel Ken Griffin, has also taken a look at the FTX’s
