There are videos making the rounds showing President Trump standing on stage in Miami's pouring rain while imploring Americans to get out and vote. The metaphor is striking. There's Trump, battling the elements, lively as ever, refusing to give up, insisting on finishing what he's started. Citizen Free Press appropriately notes that "President Trump is truly a force of nature."
I know that the months ahead will make for some spirited political debate among friends, but I encourage you to cement in your minds this quintessential image

I don't know how all of this shakes out, but with a political environment that favored Republicans like it was 1980.....and a former president campaigning across the nation, and THiS is the result.
I have to ask.... Do Americans prefer high taxes, inflation, supply shortages, high crime and unfettered illegal immagration, or do they hate Trump more.
DeSantis is looking really really good right now.

In some precincts your vote means nothing. It gets canceled out by dead votes, double, triple votes, illegal votes, and just plain manufactured votes. The sixties radicals came with violence and it paid off for them. They own the courts, judges, big business, media, government. The left doesn't need to take our guns away; we're not going to use them. Thoughts?

The rigged elections game won't play with a public that has perhaps grown tired of the multiple claims over the years. MAGA is the big loser. It proved fairly conclusively not to be the rallying cry for many Americans. #1 makes the point.

FYI the minute DeSantis declares a run for President, he will get the Trump treatment ASAP from the media and Marxists. I’m sure they’ve prepared a list of scandals to start their attacks. It will be same stuff, different day except we may lose Florida as a red state in 2026 without DeSantis as Governor.

Article points out that Trump is the populist, working for small businesses.
DeSantis will be a Bush corporate candidate.. look and see who is bringing him to the dance.

I think it's fairly obvious that the late, boat - shaking entry into the spotlight of former President Trump dampened turnout among Republicans and heightened it among the Democrats. This was predictable and predicted.
You can see it in Oz/Fetterman and in similar races in contested territories where he made his mark. It's approval among some and the conservative rank is exceeded only by his disapproval by those on the other side. Not really a winning political formula.
I'll say again - the only way Republicans lose the presidency in '24 is if Trump makes it about himself.

Trump motivates Democrats more than Republicans. That's why Democrats did all they could to promote Trump-backed Senate candidates and why ads with Trump and Mastriano said at the bottom "Paid for by Josh Shapiro for Governor". I expect Hassan, Bennett, Warnock, Fetterman, and Kelly to send him thank you notes. In spite of his policy record, Trump remains a narcissist with the self-control of a 5 year old. Politically, he's a loser even before 2024.

It was up to party precinct chairmans to make sure their voting procedures were clean - they’ve had two years to get it right, get lawyers going. The establishment Republicans are mostly in charge of this - time to clean house in those states. DeSantis is the one to follow. Elite Republicans are clinging to their power. And Democrats - well, what can one say about people who vote for questionable, feeble candidates like Biden and Fetterman? If, they really won at all.

Couple of observations:
For all you Floridians complaining about all those Yankees moving to your state, well, guess you were wrong that they would turn your state blue. BTW - grew up in South Florida but not native born and I don't pretend to be native born.
I live in Virginia now (since 1996) - CD-10 Wexton versus Cao. This district use to be strong Republican but we got redrawn last year and so now all of Loudoun County is in the 1th. And Loudoun is very blue. Cao did not have Trump's endorsement (not even sure if Trump endorsed anyone here in VA) and although Cao voiced his general support of Trump policies and fought against the narrative of J6 being the end of the USA, he wasn't on Trump's radar and still lost - a close race though. Cao and Vega had the support and strong endorsement of VA Gov Youngkin - the complete opposite of Trump in personality, style, etc. and Cao and Vega lost - still.
I thought it was Republicans like Youngkin: soft spoken, not confrontational, wearing his little red vest, etc that are the future of the GOP. Youngkin who got sideswiped by Greta Van Susternen and John Karl - mushy response to their baseless attacks. I hate these pansy responses to baseless attacks and I will give DeSantis his credit - he is better in deflecting these attacks than Trump. Although I really like Kari Lake's style - takes no prisoners.
Before I abandon Trump and rush to DeSantis, I want to know more about DeSantis and his support or not for Ukraine, foreign interventions as too many veterans in office are too eager to keep the US engaged overseas either with aid and/or people, energy production in this country. I don't agree with the all of the above approach. Solar and turbines are too destructive of the environment, return little in stable energy, a cash cow for the Chinese, etc.
Pretty sad that some here claim MAGA is a loser rallying cry when for the Dems -it's abortion, abortion, abortion....

All the blather about "the Establishment Class " overlooks the fact that Trump, as a NY-NJ commercial real estate billionaire and the owner of NJ casinos, an airline, and a sports franchise, epitomized the Establishment Class, which is not restricted to Republican or political actors but includes the big money interests that fund political candidates and greases the palms of red-tape bureaucrats at the state and local levels. He experienced the underside of politics well before becoming a politician, a definite advantage that helped propel him into the presidency. By the way, I'm not blaming Trump for the less than stellar nationwide performance of Republicans but neither do I credit him for endorsing Republican candidates who came through with a win. Political endorsements are more like betting on the ponies than it is like creating or developing candidates in your own image.

Divide the MAGA is the plan . And it has begun and seems to be working.. Fair weather MAGA people are showing true colors.. Pres Trump did more good for the American people, even with the destroyers on the inside and all the media, establishment, rionos,Soros etc.
Sad and nteresting to watch the communist plan working so easily. And these people think they are superior inteleigent beings, falling so easily for the plan to destroy America.

Yes, the monied status-quo and globalist elites want to destroy the MAGA movement. Then they will triple vax you and make you eat crickets. All those abandoning Trump when things get tough are just speeding up America's decline. Someday it will be too late for "sorry".

I will always remember what Rush used to say. If the media creates you, it can destroy you..and will. He was never a huge Trump supporter but came around when he saw what HE ACTUALLY DID for the country. Do I wish he would control his comments against other republicans? Of course! But if someone seems to be a darling with the media, and the swamp, look out. They will turn against you in second.
I sure miss Rush. He would have clarity on all this nonsense McConnell and Co. are trying to pull against our best interests as a nation.

I was a Trump voter twice and a financial supporter as well, and think he was largely an excellent President, but I think his Acolytes, who really think he walks on water ( and I get about 12 texts every day asking me to join and give $ to Trump and will NOT do so) are living in La La Land. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, and The Donald has been a super destructive force in the Party all on his very own---you don't need "the Establishment" to see how he is trying to bully DeSantis to stay out ("he will be bloodied and his wife runs him") or that it is "disloyal to the country" to challenge him or hold a primary, or how he pushed often unqualified candidates who were in over their heads politically, and then gave them not one cent from his huge war chest to help their campaigns. How we LOST the Senate last round because Trump hated Kemp in Ga etc. because he and the AG would not say Trump actually won in 2020. And look what THAT got us! Biden being able to pass things that are TOTALLY destructive and run wild without our ability to stop him. Now I have emails from "him" wanting $ for Walker, and Trump is the last person I would trust to deliver $ after he starved his own candidates financially this round...he left them hung out to dry. (I gave $ for Walker via Borasso this morning.) The only way Vance managed to pay for ads etc.(he had raised only 12 million on his own) was McConnell shooting $ his way. when it was obvious he was viable but sinking. And finally, I also truly think Trump helped sink the Red Wave by butting in on election eve saying he was going to announce something "you will love" next Tuesday. News to Trump and his 35% (at least until now) grip on the Party---we will NOT love it!!!!!!! He just can't control his anger and vendettas and will turn off Democrats, Independents, women, you name it, and we will lose the Presidency, and can not afford that!

I'm not an acolyte, I don't live in La La Land, and I don't think he walks on water. I know that Jeb! tweeted his support for DeSantis and that's all I need to know going forward.
And since YOU are the one that subscribed to all those numbers texting you for money maybe it's time for you to learn how to block a number on your cell. Trust me, it's real simple, even a child can figure it out.

Interesting that posters 19 and 20 do not remotely address Trump's destructive capacity, just go on about the Bushes and the Establishment and their cunning ploys (and if Jeb was so cunning, why didn't he win the primary?). You don't have to be pro DeSantis to watch Trump constantly bullying anyone he thinks crosses him, and as far as HEARING this in his own words, he comes right out and SAYS that DeSantis (or anyone else who dares to run against him) will be "bloodied" as Trump knows all the dirt etc. That he intervened Monday night "not to take anything away from the election, but......" and thus reminded all those who dislike him that he is there, waiting in the wings....and we NEEDED those votes. He turned off a LOT of voters by inserting himself JUST before the polls opened....not necessary and destructive, just look at me.. John Podhoretz, definitely not an establishment guy, said in the NY Post today (and who has gone after Biden more than the Post?) that along with Sleepy Joe and Sanctimonious Ron and Low Energy Jeb we might now call The Donald Toxic Trump. That's what he is to a great number of voters WE NEED. If he wants to run in 2024 there is nothing to stop him, and if he is convincing (and he certainly can be and WAS excellent as a President, but his behavior is his fatal flaw) he will win.......but to say anyone is unpatriotic to run against him in a primary is madness in a democratic country. ( As to blocking texts, that works unless you have algorithms set up by the sender that change a digit each time round....I think even a child knows that. Not you?)

#3, the only public who would be tired of the “multiple claims [of vote fraud] over the years,” would be those who are complicit. Just how many truckloads of ballots, and coincidental machine malfunctions that seem to heavily affect Republican voters are acceptable to those poor, weary souls?

If the "Nobody but Trump" Republicans want to keep losing key races, keep supporting Trump and his egotistical antics. He has turned off a lot of independents who are needed to win, and his recent headline grabbing teases about when he is going to announce his candidacy and threats to DeSantis, right before an important election, has turned off a lot of Republicans as well. A lot of voters don't care for Biden, but they hate Trump. Nobody energizes the Dems and a lot independents to get out and vote against Republicans like Trump. Trump is a huge drag on the Republican Party and the conservative movement. If he runs again his luggage will be too heavy for us to carry over the finish line, and we will lose.
One more thing. I hope Trump stays quiet and out of the lime light until the run-off in GA is over !!

Trump is not perfect. No one is, but Trump is truthfully Pro-Life (I don't care when he was converted, because his life now squares with his word). I have read that any country that promotes life is blessed, and this country was truly blessed during Trump's Presidency. The Establishment does not care about our country. They only care about themselves, which is why they want Trump off the stage. (They have always had different priorities than he, and they are not God and country.) Trump does care, and he has proved that he does.
Governor DeSantis is an intelligent, gifted, young man with a lovely family, and his work during the hurricane proved that he has great leadership qualities, but he should focus on getting his state healed, and allow Trump to finish the work he has started.
(And Trump should really not be saying petty things about anyone; just bad form.)
The Republican Party should be grateful that it has so many candidates who are so well qualified to Make America Great Again!

#18/21 makrs GoodRx points that the MAGA crows Wohlfarth pergerakan not to discuss, let alone admiral. FPDT ia not universally loved. He is indeed loathed by many. What is TDS? But in the MAGA bubble thou shalt not have less than full devotion. Time to get beyond denial this post election. Time then to think realistically in electoral political terms, and MAGA isn’t going to sell in ‘24 if it didn’t in ‘22. Then, neither did Dem-style liberalism. If FPDT declares on Nov. 15th, he may be surprised by the reception it gets.
