Donald Trump faces a lot of criticism at the moment, having undoubtedly lost a lot of votes because of his behavior just prior and after the midterm elections.
Anger of some Republican voters toward the former president runs hot and may cost him the nomination in 2024.
Yet it is also the case that Trump has been pronounced politically dead many times in the past, and in most of those cases the cause for the premature Code Blue calls has been his big fat mouth. He has never been able to control his impulses, and has never been a nice guy. This has not stopped his ability to

The only thing Trump lost were the stolen elections. The media is savaging this man. It's outrageous.

Much of the criticism of Trump’s COVID policy and actions looks like Monday morning Quarterbacking. Critics were not there facing the split second decisions he had to make. The biggest obstacle Trump will face is to prevent another massive steal by the Democrats. They have gotten away with it twice. The temptation to do it third time given the stakes will be supreme. DeSantis did it in Florida. That tells us the Red Wave is real. No one better than Trump to take the opposition head on. Hope the short sighted, selfish Republican pols see the light.

Yes, he has a big mouth and is rude and a boor. But he isn't a pedophile or a communist, so we have that going for us.
When he was starting the covid response I reserved the right to not participate, and thats what I did. His judgement had already been shown to be a little shaky, and the whole covid thing to me stunk like a sewage lagoon. So he did his lockdown and I had a whole divided highway to myself for over a hundred miles. Very pleasant drive doing non essential errands.
I still support him because the alternative is more of the same rotted garbage we have had shoved down our throats for 20 years. The republicans are just as crooked as the democrats, they are just a little more subtle about it. I dont think we as a nation can survive many more establishment presidents.

Third time's a charm. Not. I expect the same melodrama we just had. A few victories here and there, scraps to the peasants, bluster, legal teams, etc. Kraken is passé, so we'll have to settle for Plan B. The globalists will still be in control.

More myth-making from the NeverTrumpers. It's really amazing the number of things that Trump is "responsible" for.

I have to disagree with Reply #7. I think Trump's character is perhaps the reason he lost in 2020. Surely, he could not have lost because of his policies. People can't be that stupid. Can they?!

#3 is correct. Textbook "monday morning quarterbacking." At the time of this unprecedented event NO body knew what the h was going to happen. And 100 million covid deaths, or some such outlandish #, were projected, looming over Trump's head.
And every single death, true false and imagined, were set like a spring trap underneath his feet. Every step he took was "wrong" no matter what he did. That was the "plan" of the "plandemic."
So he trotted out the "experts" and let the press have at em and guardedly implemented their advice. At least at first. And he DID leave final control to the governors. I defy anyone to describe how he coulda walked that wobbly tightrope any differently.
But yes Trump's Achilles heal is the covid:
1. Promoting the dirty vax
2. Inflation stimulus
3. Extending lockdowns
and I would add a fourth:
4. Not siccing Law enforcement on the Blantifa riots which murdered people in broad daylight.

He's a much nicer man than any of the Kennedy's or Clinton or Johnson or Obama. The Press trashed him and praised them. He had the audacity to go against the Communists in DC and tried to drain the swamp. The Press is a part of the swamp and they love it.

It's the vote fraud, stupid. Anyone who thinks Trump's personality lost him the 2020 election (or will lose the 2024 election) is a sucker.

Yup, we definitely elect our officials in this country based on character and niceness and mean tweet scores.
Oh wait, no, we don't. We now select them in dark smokey rooms where GOPe meets with their Marxist trash buddies to decide who wins the next round before a single vote is cast in the primaries.
This guy is yet another deluded never trumper clown.

#4 is exactly right.
I don't want a nice guy (you know the definition of insanity).
I want a street fighter to take on a gang in D.C.
They are well funded by drug money and the cops are corrupt.
IF he could just put his ego aside, and admit the vaccines and lock downs were a mistake, he would have all of the real conservatives behind him.

The cultists can’t handle criticism of their hero, even that supported by fact. PDT has a struggle finding good people to help him without the drama. So, the cultists offer excuses for a distinct failing. Omerosa is a classic example of his handpicking his staff.

The intellectual laziness of calling out Trump supporters as cultists is tiresome. We have had AstroTurf supporters of Bushies and Romney and know the signs. This is a private sector guy offering private sector skills to an unwilling political aristocracy with no identifiable principles beyond mutual self preservation.
I can tell you what throws Aaron Rogers missed last night, it’s not difficult. Try doing it in real time.
Trump has few friends who understand the aristocracy yet he needs personnel, some of them come with the furniture and others who come recommended. But if criticizing Trump gets you a free drink at the corner bar, go for it.

Trump's biggest liability is his big mouth. It really doesn't bother me that much most of the time, but if winning the presidency is important to him, he's going to need the women to vote for him, and women don't like loudmouth men even if they like what was said and it's true. These suburban women want everyone to get along and to do it quietly and with respect. This is not one of Trump's best assets. He's a businessman from New York who's had to deal with other businessmen in his career and has had the media and the D.C. insiders hounding him for years. He's in no mood to get along with these people.

I'm tired of losing elections we should win because Trump:
- hand picks mediocre (at best) candidates who kiss his ring.
- is disliked by far too many independents and women that are needed if we are to win.
- feeds his ego first, even if it cost the Republican Party and conservative movement.

Looks like Lucianne has several "Never Trumpers" in the crowd today. Must be RINOs. I am over 70 and I have never seen a federal politician do more for America than Trump mainly because he is not the average politician. Of course he has made mistakes, like putting Pence at the head of the covid task force. He has been back stabbed from within by the very type of people on here today throwing arrows at him. Sure he says things that "hurt people's feelings" but so what? He's not a communist and not a WEF follower so I say to the Anti Trumpers: Sit down and shut up.

First, of the critical posters - how many of you know Trump personally?
I don't buy the arguments of the "Trump Trashers". I believe they are full of Hot Air and over exposure to MSNBC and various other media "mad cows".
Many time I have have checked into reported outrageous Trump behaviors and guess what - they were hot air, misquotes or outright lies. One in-law vociferously maintained that Trump said that the Corona virus was the Democrats latest hoax. I searched and searched and could not find it. I did find a speech where Trump said "The Corona virus" Then he launched into a criticism of the Democrat and media attempts to convince their audiences that he had not taken the virus seriously ending with the phrase "this is their latest hoax". Then I found the Democrat campaign commercial that took the first phrase and mated it with the last phrase. I tried to explain and got called a "Trump worshiper" and various other personal attacks. Typical.
An acquaintance phoned and was aghast because Trump was using the military and tear gas to rout "peaceful protestors" from Lafayette Park in DC so he could make a political speech. I checked the "mainstream media" and they were breathlessly reporting the same. So I checked the twitter feeds of DC media types. They were reporting that protestors were being removed from the park but sources in the crowd were not experiencing any tear gas or other irritants. So I checked the twitter feeds of various protestors in the park and saw uniformed personnel in riot gear, without gas masks advancing through smoke. The "soldiers" were park police. In other words - National Park Service Park Rangers - you know the guys charged with keeping the peace in federal parks like -- Lafayette Park. And that it was 20 minutes before curfew in DC. Curfew set by DC Democrat mayor. And in the video feeds I saw flying through the air and objects landing around the police. So the "peaceful protestors" were hurling objects at the Park Rangers. According to the Park Police the crowd began hurling things when they announced that the protestors needed to get home before curfew. So no soldiers no tear gas, no peaceful protestors and the action was to enforce DC's lawful curfew by the police responsible for that venue.
I check on his "outrageous" statements or actions and find they have been routinely been constructed by using phrases out of context, misquotes, or deliberate fabrications designed to support the various criticisms expressed by the never Trumpers.
Finally, do you know any construction workers? How about any people from Queens? I find construction folks generally are blunt and say what they think and guys from Queens will almost always counter punch when attacked. So Trump being blunt and willing to rumble doesn't surprise me But I sure would rather have him at my back then Joe.

W. Bush was a nice guy and look what he turned out to be. I don't know how Trump lost votes in the midterm since he wasn't on the ballot.
