When Napoleon Bonaparte began his 1812 campaign to conquer Russia, he led the largest “coalition of the willing” in history. (snip)Today, the Biden White House appears to be considering the use of a multinational force aimed at Russia. The NATO alliance is unable to reach a unanimous decision to intervene militarily in support of Ukraine in its war with Russia. But as signaled recently by David Petraeus, the president and his generals are evaluating their own “coalition of the willing.” The coalition would allegedly consist of primarily, but not exclusively, Polish and Romanian forces, with the U.S. Army at its core, for employment in Ukraine.

This would be a bad idea. Just give the Ukrainians weapons. If they can win, they win, if they lose, they lose, but they should have the weapons needed if they have the will to fight effectively to defend their own country.

The USA is already too deeply involved in the Ukraine//Russian war. We need to get out of the business trying to maintain world peace. We need to get out of Syria also.

Russia is totally damaged, win, lose, draw. Ukraine is badly damaged, win, lose, draw. Where does team USA succeed? I doubt it is getting into this fray…if we do, the best we can expect is a replay of Nam and Afghanistan. And can you imagine the military successes micromanaged by someone who does not even know the number of states…it would make Putain (see the french translation) look like a military genius.

Absolute NO to US troops in Ukraine. This is not in our national interest. Let the politicians so eager to get us in another war send their children into fight. Enough is enough!

Keep in mind that only about 10,000 of the invading troops made it home -- from about 500,00 who started the campaign.
Things have changed, granted, but this is a stupid idea that deserves impeachment.
What s it with leftists wanting to start wars that they would never, never agree to serve in?

BTW, have you ever been to Paris and driven on he outer ring road? Section upon section of cemeteries containing the bodies of dead (military) Frenchmen. The largest. by far, is the WWI cemetery. Started by men who were still living (in their head) for the "Great Game" of European wars before technology hit hard, Ended by the exhaustion of Europe as a true world player.
The second largest are the Napoleonic era graves. Enormous but dwarfed by WWI. Keep in mind that Napoleon was the result of the French revolution -- which was, effectively a communist dictatorship. Robespierre was a small scale Stalin that was finally killed by another dictator (N.B who sold the [people on order, glory and eventual disaster and decline.
Arm the Ukes and let them kill off the Putinists.

Stumbling toward Armageddon. The Biden puppeteers are putting the planet in dire peril. A nuclear WWIII will certainly make things like gender pronouns a moot concern in a nuclear hellscape that the Democrats are likely to create.

Those Pro-Uke cheerleaders...get out your red, white and blue pom-poms. Cue the U-S-A! chants. The "Leader of the Free World" (tm) is "thinking", which is dangerous enough, and may send American troops into this conflict - presumably on behalf of freedom, however one defines that.
NATO's Euro contingent wants no part of this adventure, not least because they have no military power anymore. The vaunted Bundeswehr and Luftwaffe are reduced to insignificance. They and the others know the US will foolishly take on the heavy lifting. The Poles and Romanians are only looking for historical revenge themselves, and the US will be there with them making it legitimate.
When this scheisse hits the fan, and it will, remember it's all about freedom, and not about NATO's ex-Warsaw Pact members trying to administer "evil" Russia one last kick down the road to who-knows-where. As Colin Powell famously said, "You break it, you own it." The US may end up being that dog that catches the car by the bumper...if the nukes don't start flying.
And in the election run up, "real conservatives" say...what?

Joe Biden bringing the world to the edge of nuclear war in order to keep the family corruption spigot flowing. You can run, but you can’t hide, Joe. Justice is coming.

I hope the stories I hear about Putin's declining health are true, and that his Politburo buddies replace him soon and pull back from this disaster.
