President Biden urged Democrats on Wednesday to show up at the polls during next week's midterm elections or "allow the dark forces that thirst for power" to chip away at American democracy. Biden urged a crowd of supporters at a Democratic National Committee event inside Union Station in Washington, D.C. not to take the election for granted. The president argued that Democrats had to show up at the polls because Republicans could not be entrusted with political power. "We're facing a defining moment," said Biden. "We must with one overwhelming, unified voice speak, as a country and say there's no place for voter intimidation or political violence in America."

As we reported, Joe Biden gave a primetime speech last night to the nation. It was his last chance to convince people of what he or the Democrats had done to earn anyone’s vote before the midterm. It was his chance to talk about how he was going to bring down inflation and crime, the two top concerns of the American people. Twitter has notified employees that it will be “reducing our global workforce” on Friday, November 4th, according to an unsigned internal memo seen by The Verge. The confirmation comes a week after Elon Musk became Twitter’s new owner and quickly started changing how the company operates and its product roadmap. Since then, speculation about the timing and scope of the expected layoffs has run rampant inside Twitter.
Employees will receive an email by 9AM PST on November 4th confirming whether they have been laid off or not, according to the internal memo, which also states that employee badge access to Twitter’s offices will be shut off “temporarily.”

The most remarkable finding of the latest Wall Street Journal poll on the mid-term election is the yuuuge swing of suburban women toward the GOP since August:
The new survey shows that white women living in suburban areas, who make up 20% of the electorate, now favor Republicans for Congress by 15 percentage points, moving 27 percentage points away from Democrats since the Journal’s August poll.
That is one whopping move. As the Journal article explains, the shift isn’t just limited to congressional vote preference, but seems to be cascading down ticket.
The Democrats’ blame game has already started one week from the midterm elections, as the party’s leadership begins to point fingers while analysts are predicting the election could be terrible for the one-party hold over Washington, DC.
As analysts predict the Republicans will end the Democrats’ one-party rule in the nation’s capitol by regaining the majority in the United States House of Representatives and potentially the Senate, the left is already starting to point fingers at who will take the fall, multiple establishment outlets reported.
