We look back on the primitive people of the past and sneer at their bizarre and monstrous atrocities – and rightly so. Even the civilized Romans recorded horrible acts by their elite – Emperor Elagabalus allegedly wanted to castrate himself and do some more cutting in order to become a Romanette, while Nero sliced the bologna off his boyfriend, a kid who was unlucky enough to resemble Nero’s dead wife. But here’s the thing – the Romans themselves wrote about this stuff recognizing that it was an atrocity. The Romans at least has a bit of moral clarity. But our savage elite celebrates the surgical disfigurement of disordered people,

Earlier in the day, I warned readers that Biden was set to make Wednesday night about democracy. Well, I watched Custard’s Last Stand. On the upside, I need to lose a little weight and now I have no appetite. I thought I would address my reaction to the ersatz commander-in-chief:
Dear Mr. President,
First of all, the United States of America is not a democracy. Dear God, that is Civics 101. America is a republic. It was designed as a republic because the framers knew that democracies could easily descend into mob rule. That includes mobs you like. More on that later.

Millions of Americans are getting behind Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla) to get him re-elected thanks to his selfless ways of fighting the Left and protecting the freedom of not only Floridians but throughout the country.
Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis announced that 1.1 million women are helping to re-elect the governor.
Mamas for DeSantis hedged out the past four months to get over a million moms signed up to keep the governor the leader of the sunshine state.
“I am proud to announce that we have secured more than one million mamas across the state of Florida who is voting to re-elect Governor Ron DeSantis,

A Border Patrol union fired back at the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) on Wednesday after the left-wing organization condemned moves by agents to deal with illegal migrants who had allegedly assaulted them.
"We read this morning that the ACLU is upset that BP agents have the audacity to defend themselves," the National Border Patrol Council tweeted.
"We have a response for them. Go to hell."
The union was responding after the ACLU expressed outrage over an incident that took place Monday and was partially caught on camera. The group of Venezuelan migrants illegally crossing into El Paso, Texas, as they waved the enormous flag.

“I was born a poor black child.” Straight out of Steve Martin’s comedy classic comes Presidentish Joe Biden’s latest campaign pander — or at least, close enough.
What a jerk.
Everybody knows you never go Full Steve Martin, unless you are actually Steve Martin.
I don’t know Steve Martin. Steve Martin is not a friend of mine. But I can still tell you that Joe Biden is no Steve Martin. [Video]
Thanks to the indispensable Christina Pushaw, we have video evidence of Biden — possibly the whitest man to walk into the Oval Office since Pee-Wee Herman paid a visit to President George H.W. Bush* —

As we noted earlier, all signs are pointing to Ron DeSantis winning reelection over former Republican turned independent turned Democrat Charlie Crist in a race that saw DeSantis’ polling lead widen substantially in the aftermath of the devastation from Hurricane Ian, which by most reports DeSantis has managed more than admirably.
But perhaps with the understanding in mind that it ain’t over til it’s over, the popular Florida governor is making one last pitch to voters in his state ahead of next Tuesday’s election, hitting them right in the feels with a one-minute ad in which the video clips of him interacting with Floridians while “America the Beautiful” softly plays

We’re just going to file this in *things that never happened*
Joe Biden traveled to Hollandale, Florida to talk about Social Security, Medicare and lowering prescription drug prices.
Biden claimed he personally spoke to the man who invented insulin.
Watch: [video]
The main scientists credited for discovering insulin died in 1935 and 1941 before Joe Biden was even born.
According to the GOP’s rapid response team, 4 men are credited with discovering insulin.
Those co-discoverers died in 1935, 1941, 1965 and 1978.

Democrat Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz on Tuesday introduced Joe Biden at his speaking event in Hollandale, Florida.
Joe Biden traveled to Florida on Tuesday to deliver remarks about Social Security and lowering prescription drug prices.
Biden will also travel to Miami to campaign for Democrat duds Crist and Val Demings (try not to laugh).
Joe Biden will speak to another half-empty venue in Miami later Tuesday.
Debbie Wasserman Schultz had to scream at the event attendees in Hollandale Beach in order to get them pumped up for Slow Joe’s appearance.
“C’mon people, let’s wake up! We got the President of the United States in the house!

The race for the Ohio Senate seat vacated by the retiring Rob Portman has been razor-close since Rep. Tim Ryan (D) and J.D. Vance (R) launched their campaigns. Polls have Vance ahead by two points, within the margin of error; RealClear Politics currently has the race leaning Republican, but just barely.
Larry Sabato’s Crystal Ball also has the Ohio Senate Race leaning Republican, as does Decision Desk HQ. If Ryan, a progressive who votes with Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden 100% of the time, prevails, it will mean that the state, which voted for Trump 53-45 in 2020, will be represented by two radical Democrats.
Enter Liz Cheney (D-Unemployed).

In the course of getting absolutely roasted on social media, far-left SiriusXM host Dean Obeidallah stands accused of perhaps discriminating against an African-American man.
Obeidallah is evidently one of those in the censorship-loving, liberal blue-check brigade (who may have to start paying for that privilege) outraged or panicked over the purchase of Twitter by free-speech-absolutist Elon Musk, the quirky and visionary billionaire.
Instead of the digital equivalent of a public square rather than an echo chamber, arrogant, authoritarian leftists obviously felt very comfortable controlling the narrative with various techniques under the platform’s prior management.
Musk has said that new content moderation policies are in the works.

There is nothing that Democrats hate more than powerful women who are not hideous crones or castrating shrews, especially since castration – particularly of vulnerable minors – has become a key component of the Democrat platform. What’s odd is that in 2022, the Democrats have chosen to run a bunch of women who are pretty much archetypes of liberal harridans – fussy know-it-alls, passive-aggressive HR managers, ancient pinkos, and bitter man-haters. And all of them are abortion nuts, of course.
The GOP went another way, picking candidates who don’t make normal women roll their eyes and normal men snort in derision. The woman-identifying GOP contenders this cycle,

During oral arguments in two cases involving Harvard University and the University of North Carolina, Justice Samuel Alito joined other conservatives on the bench to cast doubt on allowing the consideration of race in college and university admissions decisions.
In one exchange, Alito wondered what metrics were used for determining heritage.
“We rely on self-reporting,” said North Carolina Solicitor General Ryan Park, who is defending affirmative action policies at UNC.
"One great-grandparent," Alito said. "Are you going to make me continue to go on?"
"Right, I think that as we go on, I agree that it would seem less plausible
