I am writing this column in Burlington, Vermont. It is my seventh city in eight days. From my hometown of Los Angeles, I flew to Orlando, followed by Atlanta, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Chicago and now Burlington.
My Salem radio talk-show host colleagues and I went from city to city in "battleground" states to speak on the forthcoming elections -- specifically about how vital it is for the survival of America that the Left and its political party be defeated. (I went to Chicago and Burlington for other reasons.)
Two reflections: one from Philadelphia and the other from Chicago:

I spent hours in conversation with black Philadelphians - in their homes - every day of the week. Half are conservative, and tell me how horrified and mortified they are about unraveling of culture there.
Yet Dennis is right, virtually all of them are Democrats. You'd think conservative blacks would be ripe for harvesting by Republicans, yet I see no political messaging targeting this unique and passionate demographic. Different from Hispanic, where one would see plenty of Trump 2020 signs.

The thirst for Liberty has not been quenched by the Demoncrats, rather their desert of “ideas” and self centered corruption has been the bane for most Americans. They (of all races, creeds and classes) get it, and they want no part of it.

Recently had an Uber ride with a fascinating gentleman from Mali. He said all of the same things.

Concerning Black Conservatives: there's more of us out here than you'd think. And that should scare the Democrats because they, too, underestimate just how many of us they lost (or never had to begin with). I soured on the Dems loooooong ago when my brothers and I realized that they think they OWN our votes and, if you ever paid attention in History class, these guys were the real racists all along (you would shake your head if you knew how many morons out here didn't know that Abraham Lincoln was a REPUBLICAN).
Sure, they call themselves "fighting for us", but they only do that because they consider us to intellectually feeble to do it to ourselves. You know, "the bigotry of low expectations." You think I want to follow someone who has that kind of opinion of me?

Excellent article but the discussion of “generalizations” is especially important. Everyday life is a conglomeration of generalizations. No one has the time to turn every generalization into a university research project. The liberal left uses this argument to discredit at will whatever and whoever they choose to go after. Heap on the manipulated statistical obscurities, flash titles and pseudo accomplishments of self assumed experts, get interviewed by celebrity news casters and presto, their point of view becomes immutable fact.

The Republicans can't just say vote Republican because of this or that. It's the responsibility of Black voters to come to that conclusion by themselves. The crime, images, and rhetoric that they see and hear on tv as well as what they experience in everyday life should be enough to convince them that demosluts have done nothing for them for sixty years. The old adage of "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink" comes to mind.

Take one look at the black community and one sees their family unit has been decimated for decades, and maybe even more than a century. Blacks recognize this and resent it. There are quite a few socially conservative blacks. Quite a few are fiscally conservative as well since they see the welfare state up close and know it does not work. They stay Democrat because they have many family members that chose to be Democrat. I too know of a black person that would be considered a Conservative. Why aren't more blacks coming out as Conservative and Republican? What message has the Republican party put out? The Republican party is notoriously short when it comes to messages.
Found the comments about generalizations interesting as well. I will make generalizations and the Lady Chihuahua frequently disputes them. What percentage of people have to agree on something before it becomes a valid generalization?

My husband and I were at the Customer Service desk at Home Depot the other day. A black fellow was returning some items he'd purchased earlier in the day (about $45 worth) and had to settle for an item that was $17. He said living in Biden land is awful. I couldn't agree more.

I agree with poster #5. If you watch certain black people on YouTube who are conservative, the algorithm will lead you to others like them. A lot of them are bold and articulate, and know how to give it to black and white dems. They're not always nice like most conservatives are, but they are effective. Black conservatives are ten times more abused and hated by black leftists than are white conservatives. My leftist family members get so angry with me when we are discussing facts of life, not even conversations that I would consider political, but they always end up getting enraged. If I raise my voice just to be heard over their screaming, I get accused of being angry. I'm never angry because truth is always on my side. Even if I agree with them on a certain point, they're still angry and will back down on the point that we just agreed on just to be disagreeable. Now that brandon is tearing up the country, they're all strangely silent. Nobody wants to have those we hate Trump, Trump hates black people conversations. They know Joe is a racist, but they have nothing to say. I'm proud to say that I have never been a registered democrat, and I've never voted for someone who listed themselves as a democrat. I've voted for some traitor Republicans, though. GWB, Dick Cheney, John McCain, Lindsey Graham (one and done, though) just to name a few. Never again.

But we still have to generalize. I generalize if I have to ride public transportation at night. I generalize if I have to get gas in the wee hours with a beer party outside the associated Quicky-Mart. Doesn't pointing out unexpected exceptions prove the generalization?

Adding to #15's comment about black
YouTubers, I stumbled upon a channel called
'Queen B Reacts'. I have watched a few of her videos. She seems to want to be exposed to ideas that may differ from those she was raised to believe. She has reacted to a few of President Trump's speeches, a video where Thomas Sowell discusses slavery, as well as a 2 part video of an old Mike Wallace interview with Margaret Sanger. I admire her willingness to consider viewpoints that may not always align with her own.

I managed a warehouse where 80% of the employees were black. One woman was a childhood immigrant from Ghana. She made supervisor due to hard work & intelligence. Her screen saver alternated from pictures of her dirt floor hut in Ghana to he newly purchased brand new townhome. She would lecture American born blacks about their good fortune to be born here. She loved to remind them that many of the wealthy in Ghana made that money in slave trade. Infuriating some of them but she would tell them look it up.
