One of the core strengths of the late, great, sorely missed, Rush Limbaugh was his ability and willingness to constantly reground his listeners concerning basic truths. We tend to forget basics in the heat of political battle, usually to the detriment of conservative causes and candidates.
An excellent current example of this has to do with polling. I cannot believe how many conservative pundits, radio/podcast hosts and writers react to polls early in the season with dismay or even panic. “Beto is within three points of Abbot!” “Fetterman up seven over Oz? How can that be?” The answer is: you’re right, it can't be. It isn't true.

I miss Rush every time I turn on the radio and hear those two corporate lackies in his place.

Thanks to Patrick Shanahan, the writer of this piece, for this timely reminder. I recall Rush making this argument/observation several times every year. Rush was not easily fooled.

Rush’s wisdom will live in eternity. I’m glad to see someone resurrect his knowledge about polls, particularly the suppression polls. Remember his statement about evil it can’t just be defeated, it must be destroyed. We are truly facing evil.

I've been watching elections for a long time and one thing that is always true when momentum is trending towards a specific party, there is little the other party can do to stop it. And the momentum trending towards the Republicans is as strong as I ever have seen it.
And we all miss Russ.

I, too, miss Rush.
I listened to him regularly, never missing him if I was on the road, driving to or from an arbitration.
And I sometmes have to stop and think, wondering if my position on a partiular issue is mine, or derived from something Rush said..
An example of that is immigration.
I believe that a country cannot exist without a dominant common culture as well as a common language.
I also believe the people coming from other countries to the U.S. have to accept those premises. (I had four Polish grandparents - 3 gentiles and one Jew - who apparently converted on the way to America- and the Jewish grandfather was the only one of the four who became a naturalized citizen of the U.S. Why not the other three? The English language. Back in the early 20th century, as I understand it, an immigrant applying for citizenship had to pass an English language test along with a citizenship test.)
Did I reach my beliefs abot citizenship on my own, or from Rush? I'm not sure. But I know that he made me think about those beliefs.

A simple truth that is often ignored in the pre election hype.
The solution is to look at the overall situation, not what the PAID pollsters are trying to sell you. The worst inflation in 40 years BECAUSE of out of control dem federal spending. A crashed stock market (bye bye retirement funds). Gas cost way up and diesel fuel in short supply for the winter heating season. Illegal immigration exploding. A senile president, moronic VP, and dem Congress trying to hype a Jan 6 nothingburger and trying to sell Republicans being a threat to democracy. A threat of nuclear war BECAUSE we have a pathetically weak president. THESE are the currents that will steer the election and NONE of them are things the dems can "fix" because THEY caused them and REFUSE to recant any of their insane actions. Further, it has become quite clear that the public has rejected the dem messaging and their propaganda media is falling on its face.
This dem created mess makes it clear that the Republicans are going to win a lot. We will find out how much on Nov. 8th. We need to keep the focus on the issues that are killing the dems because the American People are feeling the pain that the dems have created.
I wonder what Rush would have to say about dem manipulation of voting?

Right on the money!
One of those wonderful and revealing teaching moments from the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies where he would say:”Don’t Doubt Me”
The applications are universal.

Inflation is at a 40 year high. Gas prices are up, shelves are bare at stores. The southern border is a mess that even the lamestream media cannot hide. Biden is a demented old coot, an embarrassment to the country.
And anybody who bothers to look at his/her 401(k) balances will see that the economy is in trouble.
All normal signs point to a leftist shellacking next month, but they still have their mail in ballot schemes going on. Many of us are convinced that fraudulent mailed ballots stole the election in 2020 and put this worthless demented old fool in the WH.
The mail in ballot fraud potential worried me in 2020 and my fears were justified. It will worries me, and the pubbie "leadership" seems to be doing little to offset the potential fraud that we may see.

I've been listening since his early days in NY radio. Most of us have been informed and encouraged by his 30 years, we need to keep the course. I remember family vacations with my daughter in the car and Rush was on everywhere, to my young daughter's dismay. Now she'd be a Rushee.

Frankly I don't think much has been done about the fraudulent voting machines and the fraudulent law changes made by certain states. And I think they are doing these polls to make us think their numbers are up there so when they add thousands of fake votes, we won't think anything of it. They think we are stupid.

I too miss Rush every single day.
The thing about Rush was that he was always consistent. He was always true in his convictions, his opinions were always grounded in pure core beliefs and the TRUTH. He never was "wishy-washy" or checked which way the wind was blowing before commenting on anything.
We know what Rush would say about all of this insanity because if can ignore the noise and hype, follow these crises back to the basic nature of the liberal Democrat it all becomes clear.
Even so, I'd LOVE to hear his take on "pregnant" men. Oh, the possibilities for his great parodies!

Somehow, I think that Rush is up in Heaven, lobbying God for that 12-3 Heavenly Standard Time slot on the Excellence in Heavenly Broadcasting network. Lord knows that we've given Rush loads of material since he assumed room temperature on this celestial ball.

I also miss Rush, his sense of humor was one of a kind. His knew the left as well as he knew the back f his hand. And, he was 99.9% always right. I don't listen to the people who took over the Rush's time slot. But, I did find Chris Plante. He is on in the morning. Great sense of humor, and is right up on the latest shenanigans of the dems and the left. Give him a listen.

There are important events that are branded into our memories for one reason or another. We never forget them no matter the passing length of time. How I heard about Rush Limbaugh and the first time I heard his voice on my radio, in 1988, is one of those special and memorable events.
I’m so thankful for that day, and for every memory I have of him throughout the days and decades since that day. I’m thankful that Rush knew how much we genuinely loved, respected & appreciated him for being “our voice”, and that he felt the same right back to all of us for loving our country as much as he did.
I’m thankful that I got to tell him that I regarded him as being on equal footing with our Founders & other great heroes of our history, & that, like them, I believe that he was fulfilling a providential purpose in American history.
Rush certainly made a great and good difference, through The Limbaugh Institute, during his time on this earth. It continues.
I miss him more than I can say, but I’m also thankful that his legacy lives in the hearts of his “Rush Babies” & all of his likeminded “best friends & family”. We knew and loved him & formed an unbroken bond, although we never met him in person. He will never be forgotten.

Kathryn Limbaugh and David Limbaugh have written a book about Rush. My copy should arrive tomorrow.
Whenever possible, I listen to Bo Snerdley (James Golden) on the internet. WABC radio out of NYC. M-F 4-5pm and Saturday 7-10AM. Mark Steyn is usually calls in every Tuesday. Diana (of the Limbaugh Letter) calls in once or twice a week. It's a little bit more 'adult' than Rush but it is a joy to listen to James.
