It's based on the origin of grandparents and other meaningless box-checks involving stuff like genitalia and genitalia preferences, and it has resulted in a grim uniformity in the kind of humorless pinko dorks who make up the Democrat candidate roster. It has nothing to do with what continent their ancestors came from, what religion they adhere to, or even how they pee. This week, President Biden suggested that the federal government has engaged in racial discrimination with respect to sentencing people for marijuana possession. “Sending people to jail for possessing marijuana has upended too many lives.... That’s before you address the clear disparities around prosecution and conviction.”

If successful, health insurance nationally may eventually be required to pay for IVF/surrogacy services for male gay couples. There’s good news that a major publisher of scientific journals is cleaning out the stable of papers whose review process appears corrupted, but the bad news is worse. Not only were these papers published in the first place, but the easily-corrupted system of peer review – which is supposed to be the quality assurance mechanism for the creation and dissemination of scientific knowledge – remains in place with no additional safeguards.
