While we should never count our chickens until they are fully out of their shells, there is almost unanimous agreement among the major polling groups that the GOP should be able to retake the majority in the House next month. (Insert the standard caveat about how bad the polling has been of late here.) If that happens, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy still appears to be the odds-on favorite to be the next Speaker, though that assumption also comes with a few caveats. Some of the GOP members in the lower chamber have clearly been feeling their oats and have been starting to suggest that Joe Biden might be impeached

What a bunch of hot air! Check that. brandon actually shouldn't be impeached. Because he's not a legitimate president! The case for election fraud needs to be played out, and biden and his hoe should be removed, made to pay for all the damage they've caused, and they should be jailed or executed for treason.

“House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy still appears to be the odds-on” person to first be replaced.
There, fixed that…

I kind of agree except there will be no serious investigations or hearings. Even if there were they would accomplish nothing. All the power is with the DOJ and they won’t do squat.

He doesn't mention that, politics aside, having Biden remain in office as his faculties continue to deteriorate is incredibly dangerous for the country and for the entire world. A corrupt, blithering idiot commands the largest nuclear force in the world.

Impeaching a president is all consuming. This next Congress has far too much to accomplish than to spend all their time on impeaching Biden. Just neuter the man and get on with fixing all that ails America.

They can impeach Biden, and do all the other things needed. The GOP can walk and chew gum at the same time, can't it?

Sure Kevin go ahead and let Biden keep using the FBI as his personal police force and forgive him for taken more bribes than Spiro Agnew or disavowing his oath of office by letting millions of Illegals flood our borders- some of which are definitely cooking up another 9/11. If I don’t vote this year it will be because of 2 people- McCarthy and McConnell.

Impeach? His own team is going to 25th him in late January right after his 2 year mark.
Why then? Because if their backup puppet Kamala takes over before the halfway mark those 2+ years count as her entire first term. After the 2 year mark she can still be selected with the usual election fraud to get 2 full terms on top of the rest of Joe's first term.
I don't care if Joe is impeached. I want him tried and convicted in a court for his corruption with his horrible spawn and brother all out in prison.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I agree with McCarthy. No more impeachments. Americans have had enough of that crap. If we are able to take back congress we need to concentrate on fixing the problems Joe and his cabal have unleashed upon us, not wallow in revenge moves. That will also look better to that ocean of fence-sitters out there who seem to be the ones who always determine the winners of our elections. We have 2024 coming around the bend and have to have some good things we can point at as a reason to elect our presidential contender.
Let’s get our revenge by being good stewards of the land.the contrast between us and the dems should destroy them forever.

For starters, the author should know that it takes 67 votes in the Senate to remove someone from office, not 60. Second, Biden, Garland, and Mayorkas must be impeached. They have flat-out refused to enforce the laws of the United States. And don't use the idea of President Kamala as a reason to vote against impeachment. Too often Presidential candidates have chosen VPs who would be impeachment insurance. This has to stop. A message has to be sent to future Presidents. Enforce the laws or there will be consequences.

only unelected, he has lost the little mind remaining. Not excellent

Okay I get it. BUT if a Republican controlled House and maybe a Senate won't impeach Biden than for God's sake: Zero out the budgets for DOJ, the FBI, DHS, HHS, Education, etc.

Impeaching Biden presumes he's actually the Wizard, not just the little man behind the curtain. It will mean nothing, have no effect, deter no one, and never happen in the first place.
The new Congress should spend its impeachment time instead investigating the flying monkeys who did the bidding. Scare the shinola outta the monkeys and you neuter the Wizard, whoever they is. Assuming, of course, a non-corrupt DOJ suddenly materializes that would pursue criminal charges based on the findings of such investigations.

“I think the country doesn’t like impeachment used for political purposes at all. If anyone ever rises to that occasion, you have to, but I think the country wants to heal,” McCarthy told Punchbowl News.
How about impeachment for stealing an election, Kev? Does that rise to the occasion? How about draining our oil reserves and selling it off to the highest bidder? How about using the intelligence agencies, the IRS and the FBI to harass and intimidate the citizens of the United States? How about deliberately and with malice choosing to ignore our southern border? How about imprisoning political opponents indefinitely, while subjecting them to torture and abuse?
And then, there’s this gem from the author of the article:
“If the GOP turns around now and immediately starts talking about impeachment being on the table, that might be just the scare tactic that those marginal voters need to change their minds. They already sat through the Democrats’ endless circus of impeaching Donald Trump twice and I’m guessing that a lot of them (particularly those who would normally be inclined to support a liberal agenda) don’t want to go through that again.”
Fear. That’s all I hear is fear and cowardice, as per usual from the Country Club Republican set. Let me tell Kevin McCarthy and Jazz Shaw a thing or two about the majority of Americans. We want justice for the crimes that have been committed, starting with the election of 2020.
It’s not just about winning and then sitting back on the fence so people don’t get angry. Are you even listening to these MAGA candidates that are smashing their opponents? We want people in office to do something, not wimp out and chin wag. You want to know why moderate Republicans lose? Because they have no balls.

Republicans need to stop going on TV spouting about holding hearings on this, that and the other thing. That's not what the general public want to hear. The general public wants candidates to address the policies that are hurting them in their daily lives - inflation, the economy, illegal immigration, taxes, etc. There is plenty of time after the election to address hearings. If the general gets it in their head that all the Republicans want to do is hold hearings, it will have a negative effect on the election. Stop it.

Not only will Biden not be impeached but the GOP will fully fund all the nonsense put forth in the past two years including the 87K newly armed IRS agents whose purpose is to harass and shutdown small business owners and individuals.

If McCarthy is speaker, the house will be too busy doing nasty Nancys bidding to run an impeachment trial. The same thing will happen in the Senate if McConnell is back as leader. He'll be so busy doing Schumers bidding, that he won't have time to worry about the country or the American people.
