This midterm season has seen the mainstream media downplaying outbreaks of crime, and its causes, across the country, an issue that polls badly for Democrats. So it’s not a shock that the networks on Monday morning buried a shooting outside New York Congressman (and GOP gubernatorial candidate) Lee Zeldin’s home. Zeldin’s two teenage daughters were home alone and were just feet away from the shooting.
Yet, ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC’s Today avoided the story on Monday morning,

MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace suggested Monday that the United States might need a “Democracy commission” or some other organization that could save America from the Republicans — and she thought that former President Barack Obama could potentially spearhead such an effort.
Wallace, who hosts “Deadline: White House” on the left-leaning network posed the question to former Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO) — and even McCaskill quickly dismissed the idea that a “commission” of any sort was necessary.

Conformity of thought is now required whether it is online, on college campuses, or, if you are in California, in a physician-patient relationship.
PayPal recently introduced a $2,500 fine for anyone involved in “the sending, posting, or publication of any messages, content, or materials” that — in “PayPal’s sole discretion” — “promote misinformation.”
After a firestorm of criticism, PayPal withdrew the policy, claiming the whole thing was a misunderstanding and was not official policy— hardly a convincing explanation from a site with a history of banning those it considers politically incorrect.
But California physicians have had no such relief.

Tens of thousands of Patriots showed up to see President Trump and his incredible slate of candidates speak in Arizona on Sunday.
The Gateway Pundit reported that Kari Lake slammed anti-Trump consultants and media and gave President Trump a big hug when he called her on stage. She also vowed to never back away from President Trump, his America First agenda, and the people of Arizona.

Former President Donald Trump on Monday remembered Columbus Day by calling on fellow citizens to revive the national holiday.
“BRING BACK COLUMBUS DAY!” Trump stated on Truth Social.
Columbus Day is a national holiday celebrated in the United States, along with other continental nations, to commemorate the day Italian explorer Christopher Columbus arrived in the Americas on October 12, 1492. The voyage would be followed by three others in 1493, 1498, and 1502.
Columbus’s first voyage was financed by Ferdinand II and Isabella I, the Catholic Monarchs of Spain. The investment was significant at the time due to Spain’s expensive war against the invading Moors (Muslims).

Kathie Lee Gifford has no plans to read Kelly Ripa’s new memoir, in which she discusses her power dynamic with the late Regis Philbin.
“I was very sorry to see the headlines,” the former TV host, 69, said in an interview with Fox 5’s Rosanna Scotto on Monday.
“You know, you never know what’s true and what’s not true. I went, ‘I hope this isn’t true. I just hope it isn’t.’ ‘Cause what’s the point? I don’t get it. I don’t get it,” she continued.

A newly leaked voicemail between Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, revealed the president knew Hunter relapsed into drug addiction when he illegally purchased a handgun four years ago, RadarOnline.com has learned.
In a shocking development to come after federal agents believe they've obtained enough evidence to charge Hunter, 52, for tax crimes and the illegal purchase of a firearm, a leaked voicemail from President Biden to Hunter showed he knew that his son was in the midst of a “drug-fueled meltdown” in October 2018. (Photos) “It's Dad. I called to tell you I love you. I love you more than the whole world pal,” the future president said

Dustin Johnson’s move to LIV Golf, at least financially, has more than paid off.
Johnson officially clinched the season-long title on Sunday after LIV’s sixth tournament in Bangkok. Though there’s still two tournaments to go, and Johnson finished T16 in Thailand, he has 121 points in the season-long individual title — which officially secured the championship. (Tweet) That means that Johnson, who has already won more than $12.7 million playing on LIV Golf, will take home an additional $18 million prize. That brings his winnings in the controversial Saudi Arabian-backed league to nearly $31 million.

Legendary Democratic Party strategist James Carville believes that embattled Nevada Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto must address issues other than abortion in her campaign against Republican challenger Adam Laxalt, he said Monday.
“A lot of these consultants think if all we do is run abortion spots that will win for us. I don’t think so,” Carville told the Associated Press. “It’s a good issue. But if you just sit there and they’re pummeling you on crime and pummeling you on the cost of living, you’ve got to be more aggressive than just yelling abortion every other word.”
Recent polls have shown Cortez Masto trailing Laxalt, a former state Attorney General,

A Virginia public high school replaced its Columbus Day lesson with a PowerPoint on “Appropriate Terminology” for “Indigenous Rights & Identity in America,” according to a lesson obtained by journalist Asra Nomani.
On Oct. 4, students at Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) Langley High School underwent a deep dive on “equity and inclusion” in lieu of a lesson on Italian explorer Christopher Columbus, according to a report from The Federalist. The lesson is part of a “pivot” from celebrating Columbus Day to celebrating “Indigenous People’s Day,” which was established by a July 23, 2020 motion from the FCPS school board.

Rapid recovery efforts are still underway in Florida following Hurricane Ian’s landfall which hit the west coast portion of the state, as residents finally have access to battered areas and over 99 percent have power restored, according to Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).
DeSantis over the weekend announced that residents of Fort Myers Beach — one of the areas hit hardest by the Category 4 storm — now have access to the area.
“Just 10 days after #HurricaneIan made landfall, residents now have access to return to Fort Myers Beach. Everyone needs to be able to return to their property,” DeSantis announced.
