Do you like to think that you vote for the man, not the party? Then I should inform you that in the Senate race, if you vote for the Democrat, you are voting for Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), regardless.
There is a nice little ProPublica website that compares the voting records of senators. I used the 2021-22 session to make some comparisons. (I pulled the data on Oct. 6. There may be more votes in this session after that date.)
This first figure shows how many senators voted with Schumer, Democrat majority leader, by the percent of agreement.

I've been trying to get people to understand this for years. The notion of a "moderate" or even less likely "centrist" Democrat is a myth. And so-called "independents" in the Senate are anything but. This is a long overdue wake-up call.

I have heard otherwise rational conservatives talk about not voting because,”Nothing ever gets done.” That’s an awful argument because for every conservative who doesn’t vote, chalk up another Democrat vote in the tally. And in such cases, the Left’s margins of victory increase while the Right’s margin decreases. If you are a conservative who plans NOT to vote, you might as well join the opposition because the effect will be the same.

I will choose God over man. Never have, and never will, let man dictate how to live my life. Everyone have a blessed day.

#2, Hear, Hear!
No sane Republican can possibly stay home on Election Day. There are certainly Republicans I am going to vote for but do so holding my nose. However, I know that any vote for a Republican is better than no vote or a vote for a democrat. We accomplish nothing by not going to vote out of spite. In fact, sometimes we give a win to democrats who make our lives immeasurably worse. The only way to send a message in November is to get out and vote for any Republican on the ticket. We must win before we can start putting pressure on the rotten apples in our party. We must show them that Republicans are fed up with their shenanigans. You go to war with the army you have and we have a better chance to win with more soldiers than less. Just vote a straight Republican ticket. Win first, and show the Rinos that we the people have the power to demand better government. Then, we hold their feet to the fire like never before.

That was an interesting article, and a great graph (even if it 'taxed' my pre-coffee brain) Yes, that was a pun. Thankfully, my two US Senators vote as I would vote.

I'm pretty sure McConnell would be better than Schumer . . . but not by much. McConnell is awful to be sure. I'll hold my nose and vote for a senator in my state, but how I wish upon wish for somebody much, much better than the spend thrift Rino that is up for re-election in Indiana.

Here in Louisiana, we're stuck with a dem that ran as a republican, because he knew he couldn't win as a dem.

Nice article. The author, Randall Hoven spent a lot of time writing this article, with lots of fancy graphs and percentage statistics. Very impressive. I suspect EVERY republican in NY knows not to vote for Chuck Schumer. But, in this entire article, unless I missed it, Mr. Hoven did not mention the name of Schumer's opponent or that Smuchky Chuckey even had an opponent. I suspect after all of his research, the author doesn't even know his name.
His name is Joe Pinion. He is a smart, common sense BLACK Conservative/Republican. Shocked people? You should be, because there has been not been one article even in the NY Post, about this guy. No campaign commercials, no main stream NY area news show even utter his name. He is the first Black person ever to run for the United States Senate in NY. You would think that would be noteworthy, but hey nothing to see here. Ahhh, if only he was a democrat.
So, if would have been nice of the writer to name Schumer's opponent, so at least people would know who to vote for AGAINST Schumer, which was the topic of his article. Pathetic.

Many years ago the Turkish government was described as practicing Moderate Islam. Their response was. There is no such thing as Moderate Islam. There is only Islam. Same goes for today's Democrat Party.

The real problem is that senate races (and to a slightly lesser extent even house races) are not really state elections in our 2 party system. Congress has been so corrupted by party politics that one could resonably argue that there is NO public input involved. By setting up congressional rules such that the majority party has absolute control over every aspect of the legislative process no individual congressman has any real say over much of anything. Ever notice how party leadership tends to come from members who come from seats they don't even really need to campaign for? Think thats an anomaly? no, our party system is designed to protect power from the people, not to enhance the voters representation.
That being said every congressional election is a national election. On election day you vote for the odious bottom dwelling piece of human garbage who sits on your party ticket because that despicable moron is going to be nothing but a place holder. You HAVE to put that piece of vomit in that cushy job because f you don't then the slithering piece of reptilian slime the opposite party pot on the ticket gets to be the place holder.
Then in the end the slime that floats to the top of the swamp count up the placeholders and whichever party has the most gets EVERYTHING, All of the committees, all of the leadership and especially in the house is given absolute power over what even gets a hearing. And gets to start or quash every single investigation into the sleaze of the party that is not in power.
The time to have impact on the place holder is the primary, vote your conscious there but on national elect the congressional party day vote party, it is the ONLY thing that matters that day. If you cannot see the reasons for this, well then pull the D lever and at least take responsibility for your decision, and put the blame for more schumer and pelosi and no dems under investigation right where it belongs.
