President Joe Biden assured the people of Puerto Rico on Monday that 'all of America is with you' as the island struggles to cope with the damage from Hurricane Fiona.
'We came here in person to show that we're with you. All of America is with you as you receive and recover and rebuild,' he said during a visit to Ponce, Puerto Rico, with first lady Jill Biden and FEMA administrator Deanne Criswell.
Biden vowed to deliver quick assistance to the island, where tens of thousands of people still don't have power after Fiona struck the island on Sept. 18.
'We work together to help rebuild Puerto Rico and I mean,

Simply by taking the bench, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson made history Monday, but as the Supreme Court kicked off its new term she also sent a message that she has no intent of being a shrinking violet despite her newcomer status. (Snip) Indeed, Jackson was so vocal that her questioning helped extend the planned one hour of arguments to two hours. Jackson seemed to realize she was testing Chief Justice John Roberts’ patience. After Roberts called on her well into the argument, she looked a bit sheepish and prefaced one of her questions with, “Sorry. …” Then she asked two

This is the tale of two laptops, one tale definitely damaging to the Democrats, one potentially so. What they have in common is that the FBI did its damnedest to bury both.
For all the hubbub about the Hunter Biden laptop, there has been little talk about the laptop owned by DNC data analyst Seth Rich. In the way of brief summary, the 27-year-old Rich was beaten and then shot by unknown assailants on a Washington, D.C. street in the early morning hours of July 10, 2016. His attackers appear to have taken nothing—not his wallet, not his phone, not his watch.

After nearly four years and millions of wasted taxpayer funds, U.S District Judge Steve C. Jones ruled on Friday that Georgia’s election practices had violated neither the Constitution nor the Voting Rights Act (VRA) during the 2018 gubernatorial election. Shortly after losing that election to Republican Brian Kemp, Democratic candidate Stacey Abrams famously blamed her loss on voter suppression and filed a federal lawsuit against Georgia’s Secretary of State and Election Board via her advocacy group, Fair Fight Action, Inc. Judge Jones finally put the Peach State out of its misery by ruling in favor of Georgia on all counts.

Joe Biden’s cognitive deficits are increasingly apparent, even to the most amateur observer.
Whether he has dementia at this point is immaterial. Half the world thinks he does and that weakens the United States and imperils us all.
Whether he is falling up the stairs of Air Force One or falling off a stationary bike, whether he is wandering around on stage in a fog or clutching cheat sheets designed for a 4-year-old, whether he is shouting incoherently or whispering creepily, the optics are shocking.

Jonathan Capehart, a Washington Post columnist and MSNBC host, is arguing that Democrats need to retake the high ground on patriotism. It really bugs him that people associate patriotism with Republicans, while it is the Democrats who are the real patriots.
Yeah right. I have no idea why anybody would think that Democrat leaders and commentators aren’t patriotic. Maybe because of statements like this: Capehart’s argument is not uncommon, of course. Democrats have been frustrated by the fact that Republicans have been more successful with patriotic messaging than they since at least the 60’s. Kennedy clearly was very patriotic with his messaging, but ever since Democrats have been associated

I don’t know how many times I have written some iteration of the theme that Joe Biden is a miserable lying dog-faced pony soldier, but he is, and he’s at it again.
On Monday Joe Biden tweeted more lies to compound his previous lies about abortion and morality. Monday’s fib is slightly nuanced about abortion. His characterization of Republicans being in league with the Devil, is not.
Biden has characterized Republicans in general, and Trump supporters in particular. as threats to democracy and vote suppressors. And now today, he claims that Republicans are just plain evil (because they don’t want babies murdered).

Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) wanted regulatory reform, in part to reverse some of the Biden Administration reversals of Trump era reforms intended to expedite permits for fossil fuel projects.
Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) needed Manchin’s vote in the 50-50 Senate to enact his latest spending extravaganza, the Inflation Reduction Act, which was primarily a massive climate and “green” energy subsidy arrangement. It gives Schumer allies some $370 billion in wind, solar, battery and other funding, tax credits and subsidies. In exchange, Schumer would offer a path for Manchin’s reform bill.

North Korea fired a ballistic missile over Japan, for the first time in five years on Tuesday, prompting a warning for residents to take cover and a temporary suspension of train operations in the northern part of the country. The Japanese government warned citizens to take cover as the missile appeared to have flown over and past its territory before falling into the Pacific ocean. It said it did not use any defence measures to destroy the missile, which was the first to fly over or past Japan from North Korea since 2017. Prime Minister Fumio Kishida condemned the launch and called North Korea's actions 'barbaric.'

Teachers unions have a long history of political action, but now teachers unions are advocating for gender identity and Critical Race Theory (CRT) to be taught in schools. This recent push has come because of the support of the Biden administration, experts tell the Daily Caller News Foundation.
Teachers unions have been notorious for entering political races; in the 2021-2022 school year, the nation’s two largest teachers unions, the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers, poured millions into political funding.

ere’s how MSNBC started their article yesterday:
Florida’s GOP governor is a constant menace to the Biden administration and migrants seeking refuge in Florida. A hurricane had him singing a different tune.
In just a week’s time, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has gone from menacing troll to docile figurehead. Evidently, it takes a natural disaster to put a (temporary) stop to his political terrorism.
It’s clearly been fun for DeSantis to treat Florida like his own fiefdom, boastfully signing laws restricting the right to vote, curbing teachers’ ability to discuss inequality in class

Bill Maher has floated the idea of dumping Vice President Kamala Harris from the 2024 Democrat presidential ticket, noting that she remains deeply unpopular across party lines and is a “bad politician,” to boot.
On Friday’s episode of HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, the comedian praised President Joe Biden, saying he will likely be the party’s nominee in 2024. But he suggested the president’s running mate remains up in the air.
