Satan: “Better to reign in Hell, then serve in Heav'n.”
--John Milton, Paradise Lost, Book I
Establishment Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell recently did his best to “sabotage” Republicans' chances of re-taking the Senate when he implied that the “quality” of the anti-establishment Trump-supporting Republican Senate candidates is subpar:
“I think there’s probably a greater likelihood the House flips than the Senate. Senate races are just different [because] candidate quality has a lot to do with the outcome,” he said.
Similarly, when Joe Biden was on the ropes with dreadful poll numbers for his disastrous policies, the usual cast of weakling closet Democrats

Republicans dont want to win, and they pull out all the stops to make sure they dont. They intentionally do and say bonehead things to keep the dems in power but keep those all important donors happy. When they accidentally do win, they refuse to govern, preferring to capitulate to the dems at every turn.
We have no political party that values anything more than their own personal profits.

The article talks about sacrificed principles, regarding McConnell, well first you have to have principles in order to sacrifice them. If ole Mitch had em, it was long ago,and now lost, but his lack of a spine along with lack of principles is a major problem that needs to be rectified by getting his a*s out of the leadership, in fact boot him out of the senate entirely. His expiration date is long past due! He has no trust, no credibility IMOHO.

I understand your sentiment #1 but I beg to disagree with your stance that "Republicans dont want to win, and they pull out all the stops to make sure they dont." How were we able to win the presidency in 2016? I think perhaps your statement should read "Republicans In Name Only dont want to win, and they pull out all the stops to make sure they dont."

Mitch represents the "Republican," globalists.
Democrats are all globalists.
The globalists are led by the World Economic Forum elites of Davos.
Only the Trump supporting Republicans put America first.
So, who are the bad guys?

I am not a betting man, but I would lay a couple of bucks that if the republicans do take the majority in the senate the idiot republicans will vote McConnell in for majority Leader. THAT's how stupid republican politicians are.

Sheldon Whitehouse has been a senator since 2007. I don't think quality has anything to do with winning elections.

Mitch is loyal only to the beltway cabal and their objectives of wielding power and enriching themselves. If America suffers, so be it.
Some time ago, I read that he prefers to be the "leader" of a minority party, as being able to control a small number of "swing vote" (a.k.a. RINO) votes gives him maximum leverage with Schumer. If the MAGA republican candidates win large, he risks losing his status. He is a vain, self-serving saboteur, and no friend of the America-first patriots who are trying to save this republic.

The Disastrous Biden administration sets the table for republican blow outs to win both houses of Congress. If they don’t, they need a thorough house cleaning…. Starting at the top of the party.

Who made him God???
Yertle the Turtle is as corrupt as they come.... those you see around him in front of the press are too-- everyone says "get rid of the RINOs" but its nearly impossible to do so.
The system of primaries makes it difficult because those who challenge fight among themselves to get a foothold in an attempt to force a run-off, but they don't have the money and resources to defeat the RINO/RNC stronghold and 'war chest" of donations from lobbyists and those seeking influence. The only other alternative is to put a demonrat socialist Marxist in office...
TERM LIMITS would clean out Congress but the retort is that "every election could be a term limit", and there is the mistaken notion that ONLY the office of President is important.
Only death, resignation, scandal, or indictment gets these cowardly RINOs out of there.

One thing the Republican party does every election. They pull support from Republicans in blue states. It happens every time. It ensures they lose. The Democrats have a 50 state strategy. The Republicans do not.

# 3 The republicans of the uniparty were appalled that Trump won in 2016. Not being one of them, the rinos knew that their go along to get along gravy train was in jeopardy.

#16, bottom line, that's on the voters who don't pay attention to the primaries and then complain about who is running in the general. In too many districts and states the 'people' get exactly what they deserve and are too willfully ignorant to realize they should look in the mirror when complaining.
The only problem with that is it also affects the rest of us who are paying attention. Which is why it is clear the 'one warm body, one vote' approach that our ancestors changed to last century is a failed experiment that needs to be repealed.

We would all like to believe that our Federal government operates just like the civics books said...two parties in opposition, debating proposals on their merits and eventually compromising in the national interest to pass laws to make our country better. I don't believe it. Many prefer to deny the obvious. This article is a good example.
Mitch McConnell is not the problem. Replace Mitch with whomever and nothing will change. Why? Because while there are two parties, the essential business of Congress, including the Senate, is to "spread it around" while some attaches to sticky fingers. And that is the UNIPARTY at work. It's like the mob - you're in or you're headed out in a hurry. And PDT was like that reformer District Attorney...we all saw the mob try to hit him multiple times.
Sad fact is that we prefer to pretend that civics book government exists and so operates. That our elected officials are "better people", and that any slight corruption is the product of some other guy or gal, not the one WE elected. We are party stalwarts, sending our contributions, volunteering our time, and expending our hopes on people who will either become part of that mob, or adopt an "I see nothing" attitude towards it - while expecting representation of our viewpoints and some adherence to our wishes as they "promised".
As Deng Xiaoping famously said, "It doesn't matter whether a cat is black or white, as long as it catches mice." Ka-CHING!

McConnell is a silent and inactive man. He ignores the people. Senator Scott is right about McConnell, who has no plans, and never speaks of one. McConnell does nothing, which is what the uniparty installed him to do. McConnell is another Bill Barr, there to do nothing.

I think we're looking at 2 more years of "Republicans" passing laws that get vetoed (happily for them) and then a president who will actually do something. That's YEARS away. Just stop with the TRILLIONS.

The establishment Republican Party reminds me of that team that played against the Harlem Globetrotters, there for the show but scripted not to win.
The big difference is the Globetrotters we're entertaining, the Democrats are frightening.
