At the end of February 2020, the global village began to shake on its foundations. The world was presented with a foreboding crisis, the consequences of which were incalculable. In a matter of weeks, everyone was gripped by the story of a virus—a story that was undoubtedly based on facts. But on which ones? […snip…] It didn’t stop there. We also saw a remarkable transfer of power. […snip…] A kind of totalitarianism that is not led by “a gang leader” such as Stalin or Hitler but by dull bureaucrats and technocrats.

All of which fear was precipitated by an absolutely bogus UK publication suggesting a pandemic which would exceed the Black Death of the Middle Ages. Yes, our masters jumped on the bandwagon but there should nonetheless be consequences for the 'scientist' who triggered the panic.

The author is correct in one thing...we are under constant bombardment by crisis mongers. Has been this way since mass media spawned connections previously unknown to mankind. Then on to the next step... "In modern times, the explosive proliferation of mass surveillance technology led to new and previously unimaginable means for the manipulation of the masses." There is little unknown about any of us thanks to technology. Computers store this information, refine it, sell it, and buyers use it. Among those buyers is government. You can buy it, too. The sellers will take your money. But the point is that when you use your grocery discount card, you have no expectation of privacy - read that fine print you ignored to grab the discounts. Same with your credit cards. Virtually every transaction you make is recorded and analyzed by someone somewhere for resale. Toss in those many "security cameras" scattered around the streets, stores, even doorways...even that all-seeing eye on your computer screen frame. Then there are the cellphones, your car emergency communicator, that black box under your hood. Now, who do you trust?

H. L. Mencken, who became an adult at the very beginning of the 20th century and lived until the middle part of the century understood much of what the author writes about, perhaps not in such technical terms, but pretty much the same thing has been a standard practice for a very long time in politics. Mencken said: "The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." And another Mencken quote which seems to be particularly applicable today ...... "On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." H. L. Mencken Well, we are there, with an even more idiotic moron in the 'reserve' spot at VP.

FTA: "The real task facing us as individuals and as a society is to envision a new view of humankind and the world, to find a new foundation for our identity, to formulate new principles for living together with others, and to reclaim a timely human capacity—Truth Speech." I know its bad form to end with the author's final line, but the answer is as simple as it is hard for people to accept; read God's Holy Scripture. He has given us His Word to guide us in His Way, His Truth and His Light. He is the foundation of our identity. He has given us the principles for living together with others, with our full human capacity - all for the Glory of God. That is Truth Speech.

Any serious effort to end the crisis must deal with the problem of the administrative state and the bureaucratic power thereof. Without that focus, no reform effort can get anywhere. [snip] The solution has to be drastic and it has to work. The reason is simple: a free and functioning society cannot coexist with an undemocratic beast like this on the loose, making its own laws and running roughshod over rights and liberties with zero oversight from elected leaders. Until the administrative state is defanged and disempowered, there will be no representative government and no hope for change.

[snip] Later in the speech, Malone said that the vaccines “do not prevent Omicron infection, viral replication, or spread to others.” That quote was not included in the Post’s article.

Republican Rep. Scott Perry of Pennsylvania says that the FBI has confiscated his cell phone. Perry, in an exclusive statement, told Fox News on Tuesday that while traveling with his family earlier in the day, he was approached by three FBI agents who handed him a warrant and requested that he turn over his cell phone. The confiscation of the congressman’s personal phone comes one day after FBI agents searched former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

The COVID-19 pandemic is one of the most manipulated infectious disease events in history, characterized by official lies in an unending stream lead by government bureaucracies, medical associations, medical boards, the media, and international agencies. We have witnessed a long list of unprecedented intrusions into medical practice, including attacks on medical experts, destruction of medical careers among doctors refusing to participate in killing their patients and a massive regimentation of health care, led by non-qualified individuals with enormous wealth, power and influence.

The recent threats by Beijing to cut off American access to critical mineral imports have many Americans wondering why our politicians have allowed the United States to become so overly dependent on China for these valued resources in the first place. Today, the United States is 90% dependent on China and Russia for many vital "rare earth minerals." The main reason for our overreliance on nations such as China for these minerals is not that we are running out of these resources here at home.

“Go woke, go broke” is the slogan that keeps on giving. The latest installment of woke, politically active retailers now facing financial ruin in the form of shuttering stores and mass layoffs is none other than conservative-hating Bed Bath & Beyond. According to CNBC, the retailer announced this week that it will close down 150 namesake stores, as well as plans to hand out pink slips to a whopping 20% of its workforce, mostly in the supply chain and corporate sectors of the business. The moves were announced ahead of an expected investor update on Wednesday in the company’s seemingly desperate bid to stay afloat. As you’ll recall, BBB made headlines

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre criticized five Republicans by name as representatives of the "extreme wing" of the party who are attacking democracy. Her comments came while discussing President Joe Biden's Thursday night address regarding the "soul of our nation," and she specifically pointed to Reps. Paul Gosar (AZ), Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA), Madison Cawthorn (NC), Gov. Ron DeSantis (FL), and former President Donald Trump of carrying out "attacks on our core values as a country."

Here are the top rounds, as listed by Field & Stream, and the feet per second (fps) they travel upon being fired: .220 Swift — A 40-Grain .220 Swift round moves approx. 4,300 fps. .257 Weatherby Magnum —

Donald Trump, who said two weeks ago "the temperature has to be brought down" in this country, is raising it to heights that would burst the thermometer. He’s gone on what we would call an angry tweetstorm, if he was still on Twitter, pumping out three dozen postings and repostings on his far smaller Truth Social app. Then Trump drops the hammer: "REMEDY: Declare the rightful winner, or, and this would be the minimal solution, declare the 2020 Election irreparably compromised and have a new Election, immediately!"

Despite the leftist mainstream media’s best efforts to portray Joe Biden as a rejuvenated president ready to lead his party to midterm glories, the aged and increasingly befogged Biden keeps sidetracking the fake news narrative with his own words and misdeeds. “An alleged diary from Ashley Biden exposed Joe Biden as a creep who took naked showers with his daughter at an inappropriate age.” Joe Biden should not be talking to children. He shouldn’t be talking to or about teenagers, either. Quite frankly, he oughtn’t address or talk about anyone under the age of 21 for the remainder of his presidency.

The months of July and August of this year have been among the quietest in terms of hurricane activity since World War II, a Colorado meteorologist said this week, with August shaping up to have the lowest hurricane activity since the late 1990s. Philip Klotzbach, a forecaster at Colorado State University specializing in Atlantic basin hurricanes, wrote on Twitter on Tuesday that "for the first time since 1941, the Atlantic has had no named storm (e.g., tropical storm or [hurricane]) activity from July 3rd-August 30th." Klotzbach further pointed out that August of this year could finish as the only August since 1997 to have no named hurricanes.

As part of their response to the Supreme Court’s (SCOTUS) ruling in NYSRPA v. Bruen, New York Democrats secured legislation making Times Square a gun-free zone, even barring concealed carry permit holders from carrying for self-defense. On June 23 Breitbart News reported SCOTUS’s Bruen ruling, which struck down New York’s proper cause requirement for concealed carry. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) and the state’s Democrat-run legislature responded by enacting numerous new gun controls, including a list of “sensitive” areas where the carrying of guns would be prohibited.

A Nobel Prize-winning German developmental biologist called the transgender movement’s claims “unscientific” and “nonsense,” and their plans to let teenagers determine their own gender “madness.” In an interview published last week by the German feminist magazine EMMA, Dr. Christiane Nüsslein-Volhard cited hard scientific facts to counter the trendy notion that there are multiple genders. “All mammals have two sexes, and man is a mammal,” she explained. “There’s the one sex that produces the eggs, has two X chromosomes. That’s called female. And there’s the other one that makes the sperm, has an X and a Y chromosome. That’s called male.”

This week, President Joe Biden—in search of a new label to pin on his political opponents after the failure of his “ultra-MAGA” branding, which prompted peals of laughter rather than shudders of horror—landed on a new slur with which to tar those who don’t support his agenda: they are, he said, semi-fascists. Speaking with a crowd of Democratic donors in Maryland, Biden reportedly said, “What we’re seeing now is either the beginning or the death knell of an extreme MAGA philosophy. It’s not just Trump, it’s the entire philosophy that underpins the—I’m going to say something—it’s semi-fascism.” Now, Democratic politicians painting half of Americans as beneath contempt is old hat.
