US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is expected to visit Taiwan as part of her tour of Asia, according to a senior Taiwanese government official and a US official, despite warnings from Biden administration officials, who are worried about China's response to such a high-profile visit.
The stop -- the first for a US House speaker in 25 years -- is not currently on Pelosi's public itinerary and comes at a time when US-China relations are already at a low point.
The Taiwanese official added that she is expected to stay in Taiwan overnight. It is unclear when exactly Pelosi will land in Taipei. The US official added that
She will be hailed as "courageous"; if a Republican speaker went, he/she would be universally attacked in legacy media as "trying to get us into World WarIII!" I also note that John Kirby handled the briefings on this -- way too important for poor Karine Jean Pierre.

What a steaming load of garbage. This whole Taiwan visit is once again a media propaganda campaign to take the public's attention away from Evil Nancy Pelosi and her horndog drunken husband's years of getting extremely wealthy off of blatant and criminal insider trading. Her Asian trip is nothing more than a trip to collect bags of services rendered cash from all the countries she visits. Hope her plane follows the same flight plan as that Malaysian airliner.
Pay no attention to the Pelosi insider trading criminal scandal behind the curtain. Look over here. Look away citizen chumps.
Ask yourself why would the communist Chinese shoot down one of their most staunched communist allies in the the Federal Government and Congress. They won't and are just playing along with this charade.

Potentially, the entire world could benefit
from Piglosi's flying into Taiwan,
if executed in the best way

Back during the first winter of the Korean War as the US and UN forces were driving the beaten North Korean Army back towards the Chinese Communist border the Chinese Communists warned that if U.S. troops came anywhere near the Yalu River that made up the borderline between China and North Korea that Communist China would enter the war. Those warnings were ignored by the USA leadership of the day, and in the dead of winter huge masses of the Chinese People’s Army covertly crossed the Yalu River and started engaging with US Marines and Solders who were moving North from the Chosen Reservoir, US Army units, specifically of the 32nd Infantry Regiment ( which I served in in South Korea) were completely wiped out by massive and unexpected attacks by the Chinese People’s Army resulting in two U.S. Divisions, the First Marine Division and the Army’s Seventh Infantry Division, both suffering heavy casualties having to fight their way back to a coastal port to be evacuated to the South. The Chinese attacks all across the UN front then drove the US and the UN forces with heavy casualties, all the way back South to about the 38th parallel to where the war turned into over a two year stalemate and about where the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) remains today as the uneasy border between North and South Korea. The object of that story is a lesson to US leaders that when they are dealing with China regarding anything near China, that they should keep a so-called weathers eye out or they might suffer serious adverse effects especially with China being much more powerful then back during the Korean War era.

Brian Cates (political columnist) has written that Nancy Pelosi's Taiwan visit is to take the focus off the August 2nd primaries “...because they are going to lose in a big way.” (Primaries being held on August 2nd: Arizona, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Washington)

The CCP only cares that Pelosi advertised a trip to their breakaway province. Since 1979 the US has acknowledged the Chinese claim to the island. This is something to feed the domestics while COVIDS shutdowns are on the table and used there. There is no intention to actually shoot down Pelosi or invade Taiwan. To what end? So, the trip goes off the official calendar. The Chinese save face. Nancy is a brave diplomat. Everyone is "happy".

Re: #5 - Chesty Puller, CO 1st Marine Regiment, and Walton Walker, CG 8th Army, were no trannies. At the Chosen Reservoir, Puller famously noted, "We've been looking for the enemy for some time now. We've finally found him. We're surrounded. That simplifies things."The CO of the Army 32nd Infantry Regiment, Don Faith, also at Chosin, was no slouch either. He was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his attempt to clear a Chinese roadblock with hand grenades. Puller and Faith exemplified the best of American fighting spirit by leading from the front

Yeah. Pelosi's plane needs a place to stop and re-stock the bar.
Especially if Mr. Pelosi is on board.

There is no upside for China to use force. They may run a few military planes into the airspace near Nancy's plane, but they will then say that due to compassion for a brainwashed American, they allowed the plane to land in Taiwan.
