President Barack Obama’s former campaign manager David Plouffe famously said of Donald Trump’s entry into politics: “It is not enough to simply beat Trump. He must be destroyed thoroughly. His kind must not rise again.”What was it that Washington DC and President Obama’s team feared so much about Donald J Trump?
The answer to that question is why the FBI, DOJ and CIA targeted Trump in 2016; and why they continued the targeting in 2017 with the Mueller investigation; (snip) why they still keep targeting Donald Trump with the J6 committee(snip)
Donald J Trump is the existential threat.

Very long, detailed and ultimately depressing read. Nevertheless, highly recommended. Still, the question remains: What is to be done? Is there still time to vote ourselves out of this, beginning at the local level and working upwards? Or will TPTB thwart those efforts by the standard means of vote fraud, intimidation and street violence? In other words, is there still time to utilize the ballot box, or will recourse to the bullet box be required?

Long article, but worth the read. In a nutshell:
If voting made any difference, do you think they'd let us do it?

VERY Long and Very Depressing. Not surprised at some of the Players. McConnell has been it in up to his ears and everyone knows it! Apparently Trump was getting too close to figuring out what was going on and that's why Liz is so determined he should be taken down never to run for office again!! Liz and Her Daddy should be outed as a Danger to our Country! I can't even imagine what will happen if Trump does win another Term! God help us!!

Excellent article and well worth the time to read and digest. Those believing the November elections can change things if the GOP wins are seriously deluded. America, you have had your freedom stolen from you and it started under the Bush (Yes, those "Conservative Republicans") dynasty and put in hyperdrive under Obama. If Trump was 15 or 20 years younger perhaps he could lead the effort to regain it but it is highly unlikely he can now. This country has been kneecapped by both Republicans and Democrats. Can America be saved? As hard as it is to hear, the answer is NO. Can parts of it be salvaged and recreated into a viable nation that enshrines the ideas of our forefathers? Perhaps, but it will never be the America many of us grew up in and honestly this current monster will have to be dissolved and broken up before any hope freedom can be restored. .

Governor DeSantis is already being targeted in the media, although not like PDJT.
Many who voted for JoeBamaVegetableBiteMe voted against Trump. Neither he nor Nobama walk on water, and many Trump supporters worship him almost as much as the Pharoah which is of great concern.
The corruption of BOTH 'parties' has pitted republicans (small "r") against the Establishment RINOs and the protection of the citizen against government tyranny over Bill of Rights guarantees.
It is a depression essay, but that means that it is up to U.S. to become engaged at the local level and to clean the crap out of the stalls in a Herculean effort OURSELVES because we cannot depend on the "parties" of the government to give up their leverage against U.S.
Sitting on the sidelines while our birthright as citizens is taken away by the 'leadership' of both parties or by hand-picked "experts" making us up, and the farce that it is should be the wake-up call before we are spent into oblivion as a Republic if you can still call it that.
Copy and paste this article and refer to it often when your will to fight against this starts to wane-- it's a keeper.

This CTH piece is very long, but worth the time to read it. Sundance did quite a good job in detailing how a so-called department of intelligence has become the fourth branch of government and why all members of congress are deathly afraid of it because it controls all three of the other branches of government.
FTA, the very last paragraph - "This is the scale of corrupt political compromise on both sides of the DC dynamic that we are up against. Preserving this system is also what removing Donald Trump is all about…. And like I said in the precursor, I doubt Donald Trump fully comprehends the motives of his opposition."
Now I understand the drivers behind the push to federalize our election process - to preserve the deep state. How do we stop this?
If President Trump chooses to run for a second term starting in 2023, he must protect himself to the fullest extent possible. Because the deep state and department of intelligence lurk.

OP...this goes far beyond PDT and 2016. Those who cannot grasp what is outlined in the article just will never understand. The Deep State was begun with "good intentions" after 9/11, and those good intentions have put us on the current road to hell.
Funny thing is that those "real conservatives", many posting here, had no problem with the Patriot Act. If you said then, "I got nothing to hide", raise your hand. Many here who raised issues were assured by those with nothing to hide that there were protections and safeguards in place, like those FISA Courts. And the people involved were pristine warriors for freedom and liberty, especially in the Intelligence Community. Those who pointed out the real danger of things changing for the worse in a future administration were pooh-poohed. We needed better security against the terrorists...
There are some so myopic that they think this is all about PDT. Well, it's not. It will be used against anyone viewed as a threat to core government (and profiteering) interests, and not necessarily just in a major sense. Take those J6 "insurgents"...think none of this touches them, ordinary citizens all? The simple fact is there are no bounds to this. There is no regulation to constrain those growing tentacles. Worse, there is really little opposition because people naively still believe there is really nothing wrong here. They "back the badge" and blindly follow the meme.
BTW: I'm sure those who read the piece saw the bit about Mitch and Rand, and the Tea Party. Keep repeating to yourself, "There is no UNIPARTY", and "We trust our government and elected leaders". That will make it true. And toss in the occasional. "I got nothing to hide" for reassurance.

Everything in the article is believable, but it won't go on forever.
- Obama is human and cannot last forever.
- Doubtful the executive, legislative, and judicial branches willingly share power with the new intelligence branch. There is no honor among thieves. All these people have egos. They don't like losing influence and power. Influence and power are currencies in Washington. They will find ways around the intelligence branch, and it will lose power. Wait for the infighting.
- With liars in Washington in control, it will become obvious to the entire world that American word means NOTHING. Countries like China, Russia, and others will exploit this. For example, America is not in a recession? Nobody actually believes this. There are smart lies and stupid lies. Nobody believes stupid lies. People telling stupid lies are stupid themselves. Who wants to deal with stupid people?
- They are redefining language. Eventually language loses meaning. We see it with Biden all the time. He is incoherent. How can one have a discussion with an incoherent person or an incoherent government?
Said it before, every elected official in Washington deserves to be FIRED. They are corrupt and incompetent. They allowed this to happen. They were in on it. It won't matter. They will produce 50 million fraudulent votes to stay in power and it will be obvious to everyone both parties are stealing elections. In a way, that's OK. Let them stay in power. Watch the problems they created pull them down and choke the collective lives out of them. It is inevitable they will be held responsible for what they have done one way or another.

Directors of intelligence agencies do not get their positions due to their charm and leadership ability. They swear undying allegience to the worst people in the government and are willing to do anything no matter how down and dirty because that's what intelligence agencies do. Clapper, Brennan and Comey are on a par with Vladimir Putin who, incidentally, got his job the same way for the same reasons. As for Obama, he got his job for reasons unknown.

It IS all about Trump and MAGA people. He upset the apple cart that they had carefully filled with rotten apples. After we take over this government by force there is one move that will fix all of America's problems, eliminate the welfare system.

Re #9, I know what the article is about. I posted it. It is about Trump. The author tells us that early on. There is background, context. You have no idea whether or not other posters understand that or not.
To those who would rip off our country, Trump is the existential ($5 word for existing -as in now) threat.
If one’s only agenda is to come to a longstanding conservative forum and never miss a chance to slam those who post here, presuming to know their minds, he is wasting his time.
