President Biden tested positive for COVID-19 in a "rebound" case on Saturday, according to the White House. "As described last week, acknowledging the potential for so-called ‘rebound’ COVID positivity observed in a small percentage of patients treated with PAXLOVID the President increased his testing cadence, both to protect people around him and to assure early detection of any return of viral replication," White House Doctor Dr. Kevin O'Connor said.

If Democratic lawmakers had to comply with federal truth-in-advertising laws, they’d all be up on charges for the blatantly false name given to the “Inflation Reduction Act.” President Joe Biden claimed last week that “this bill will, in fact, reduce inflationary pressure on the economy.” In fact, it won’t. It was never meant to. The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School examined the bill. Here’s what it concluded. “The impact on inflation is statistically indistinguishable from zero.” Worse, “the Act would very slightly increase inflation until 2024 and decrease inflation thereafter.” In other words,

Investigators searching for the Supreme Court leaker have "narrowed it down," but no names of suspects have emerged publicly almost three months after the reveal of a draft opinion indicating Roe v. Wade would soon be overturned. Fox News anchor Shannon Bream appeared on air with colleague Jesse Watters to talk about her report Friday revealing that the list of suspects has been shortened, citing knowledgeable unnamed sources, as there is still no word from the Supreme Court on the investigation's progress.

In Genesis, Adam names all the creatures of the earth. “God formed out of the earth all the wild beasts and all the birds of the sky and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that would be its name.” There are lots of explanations for why this is significant, depending on your theological viewpoint. To me naming things is not insignificant in everyday life. How you call something shapes the meaning in your mind and manipulates your point of view.

An East Village park near prestigious Cooper Union and across from luxury condos has become a trash-strewn, vermin-filled, homeless hangout, residents said. “It’s disgusting!” Candy Schulman, 69, a 28-year neighborhood resident, told The Post of Cooper Triangle on Third Avenue. “I feel outraged about the garbage and the rats. Every bench is taken up by the homeless and nobody is doing anything about it.” Stuyvesant Town dweller John Murtha, 70, who walks his dog near the park, was equally angry.

Facebook placed a 'fact-checking' label on a post written by a top economist stating that the United States is now in a recession - a move he termed 'Orwellian'. Two consecutive quarters of negative growth is the standard definition of a recession, and Phillip Magness, the research and education director at the American Institute for Economic Research, posted on Facebook a commentary about the country now being in a recession. The post - which is no longer visible - was marked by Facebook's fact checkers as being misleading.

The Reverend Jesse Jackson got in on the Sesame Place shakedown over the alleged snubbing of black children by the park’s characters, calling for big changes in a letter to the company’s CEO including hiring more black executives, setting aside money for African American businesses and conducting cultural sensitivity training. In his letter to CEO Marc Swanson of SeaWorld which is the parent company for the Philadelphia-based theme park, the 80-year-old civil rights activist, political gadfly and former Democrat presidential candidate criticized the company for not “providing solutions” to remove the stain of racism, providing a list of his own suggestions

There are three very clear, very distinct and incontrovertible truths in America when it comes to immigration and border control. They are truths that we should not marginalize or forget, but that we should keep at the top of mind moving forward. The first truth is that America is a country of immigrants. We are a nation that was founded by tough and resilient people who broke from their colonial overseers on principle and who forged a great, diverse, and strongly-bonded nation with successive generations of immigrants coming to our shores from all around the world. All of what is great that America has achieved

While much of the political news out of Washington, D.C., these days is focused on the upcoming midterm elections and speculation about the 2024 presidential election (along with the never-ending disaster of the Biden presidency, of course), there’s another campaign going on, which is undoubtedly filled with more behind-the-scenes intrigue than anything else on Capitol Hill — the replacement of Nancy Pelosi. A shadow campaign to lead House Democrats next year has been underway for months, as reported by The Washington Post in January, as speculation continues to grow over whether 82-year-old — and like Biden, mentally unfit —Pelosi will finally honor her word and step down as House Speaker.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture livestock analyst Shayle Shagam said: “We are seeing large numbers of female stock have been placed in feedlots … supplies of cattle going to feedlots is going to be declining,”

Former and current NorthShore University Health System medical employees brought a class action lawsuit against NorthShore, alleging the company discriminated against them because they were denied religious exemptions from the company’s vaccine mandate. Now, in a big victory for freedom, NorthShore has agreed to settle with the employees. They agreed to pay more than 500 current and former employees $10,337,500. NorthShore is also been required to change its policy to allow religious exemptions and rehire anyone who was fired or forced to resign for not getting the vaccine. The Court still has to approve the settlement.

I have an embarrassing confession to make: I once, sort of, respected Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always known he’s a flakey Democrat, and though it’s been fun to entertain him possibly switching parties and causing a meltdown on the left, those hopes were always far-fetched. Still, his stance over the last year against a boondoggle, green scam-filled reconciliation bill was laudable. Even in the face of intense pressure, including personal harassment and threats, Manchin stood firm – until he didn’t. In a sudden reversal, Manchin stabbed Republicans in the back. You might have noticed in the last couple of weeks that there’s been a concerted effort to portray the political landscape in the best possible light for Democrats. Things really aren’t that bad. Or are they? It’s a mirage, as Washington Examiner’s David Drucker tweeted last week. It’s little more than wishful thinking to say that Democrats’ chances of staving off disaster in November are improving — except among the political class. There, it’s becoming the gospel. Gas prices are falling! Abortion! Abortion! GOP Senate candidates are weak and/or in trouble! Democrats are outraising Republicans by a wide margin! And don’t forget the January 6 hearings!
