With the 2022 midterm elections less than four months away, a New York Times/Siena College poll revealed that just 1 percent of registered voters viewed climate change as a “top priority,” let alone the most important issue facing the nation. The poll placed climate change far behind concerns about inflation, the economy, record crime rates, and the humanitarian crisis on America’s southern border. Even among voters younger than 30 -- the demographic that is typically most energized by debates about environmental policy -- the corresponding figure was a mere 3 percent.
The same poll showed that public concern about climate change has actually declined significantly from the already-low levels of concern

Another case of the government telling us that they are doing something for our own good whether we like it or not. That is not why we allow this government to exist and that state of existence could soon change. We know that Climate Change is nothing but a world-wide wealth redistribution scheme and they think we are too stupid to figure it out. Sorry to disappoint you elites but we are growing very tired of you and your end will be swift and permanent, except for those of you we may want to torture.

The low ranking is now likely due to voters waking up about climate change. When various public figures (Gore, Prince Charles, etc.) screaming years in the past that the oceans would rise and obliterate the coasts, no more snow, polar bears gone, etc., etc. It didn't happen, Every year for thirty years or more we were told that we had reached a "tipping point" and we only had five-ten-15 years to destroy our way of life or the planet would destroy us. There are real disasters awaiting us now. The Presidency of Joe Biden is a lot more dangerous to the planet than any "climate change" that can be dreamed up.

They aren’t “fossil” fuels. The earth manufactures oil on its own.

The Earth's geologic history, include its climate fluctuations, occurs on its own incredibly broad timescale. The Cretaceous period, the last of the Mesozoic Era, spanned 160 million years, give or take a few. From the existence of man until the present is like 15 seconds of geologic time. The slow pendulum swing of climate change is real but it doesn't represent any sort of impending existential doom or even a modest crisis and most normal people know that instinctively, without possessing multiple science degrees.

#1 The earth is an oil producing machine. We have centuries of supply. # 2 It's not " fossil fuels ", a label the left likes to use to imply old and out of date with today's needs. Hydrocarbons are synthesized abiotically which means that oil is produced chemically from carbon in he earth's mantle. "Green " energy is the biggest scam going , meant to destroy the economies of the free world, reduce the population and to give some people unbelievable wealth and power.

It's not climate change, it's the climate hoax. All these illiterate democrats have to do is look back in history. Hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, drought, famine, tornados, floods, continents that were once connected, split apart. You name it and it happened and had nothing to do with human intervention or CO2. You see, an illiterate democrat has never heard of the sun or mother nature. And, not one of their dire predictions has ever come to fruition. NYC should have already been under water, the polar bears should have already been extinct, oil rigs should have already ruined marine life and the great barrier reefs should have already been totally damaged. But what has come to fruition, is all the big democratic liars and hypocrites like Al Gore, John Kerry and Barack Hussein Obama and the rest have become multi millionaires. All from a hoax. Do you freakin get it yet. Oh, and all have mansions on ocean front properties.

Communists in the Democrat party think that global warming is their ticket to power. It isn't!

Consider this. Over 77% Americans believe that with the Dobbs decision the Supreme Court made abortion illegal in the US. But that is the propaganda that is going on. If you ask the question "How much did you pay in taxes last year", over 50% say "Nothing, I got a refund". That these people believe these are biologically originated fuels that human civilization is burning to permanently change the earth's climate is no surprise.

Reducing CO2 emissions has had and will not have any significant impact on climate. CO2 concentrations are measured in parts per million. If it was measured as a percentage, it would comprise 0.04% of the atmosphere. The computer climate models assume that CO2 drives global temperatures, rather than solar cycles and Earth's orbital shifts. The models have been an utter failure over the last 25 years. Their predictions have been worthless, except for generating bogus IPCC reports and panicked headlines.
But lets get back to CO2. All life on Earth ultimately depends on CO2. If concentrations fall below 0.015%, photosynthesis stops and plant life dies out, followed shortly thereafter by animal life. Maybe early single cell organisms that don't depend on photosynthesis will survive, but that's about it. Hare-brained schemes to suck CO2 out of the atmosphere are potentially putting life on Earth at risk. Are you listening, Mr. Gates?
Let's ask another question that's rarely asked. Where did the evil carbon in fossil fuels come from? It was all once in the atmosphere. Ancient plants and other organisms absorbed carbon from atmospheric CO2 and then got fossilized, locking that carbon away over geological time scales. The records show that CO2 levels in the ancient atmosphere were up to 10 times higher than today, yet the planet survived.
So, as I see it, burning fossil fuels is recycling on a grand scale. The plants love it and so should we.

All these great comments presuppose logical thought on the part of the cellphone-addicted lofo. To wit: #9's comment on income tax. Our energy policy is a shambles.
