An alleged grave ghoul has been charged with stealing 13 bronze veteran plaques from an upstate New York cemetery.
Eric T. Logue, 42, was arrested Thursday and charged with grand larceny, cemetery desecration, drug possession and criminal mischief, Wellsville police said.
The plaques are affixed to the granite headstones of veterans, stating their military branch, rank, the war they fought in, and birth and death dates. They cost $400 each and $150 to install.
Police did not offer a motive for the theft but observers believe the plaques might have been grabbed as scrap metal

This will perhaps come as a shock to them, but the doggedly secularist elites of 21st century America and Europe view Christianity, especially in its Evangelical and traditional Catholic assemblies, in much the same way as the Roman elites of the second-century empire viewed a movement that was then but a minor irritant.
Or to put it another way, George Soros and your buddies with the Davos Great Reset crowd, meet Emperor Marcus Aurelius and the Pax Romana.
For one thing, both eras feature widely diverse religious groups professing multiple understandings of and approaches to living a good life. As George Barna puts it in his latest American Worldview Inventory:

Fox News contributor Lara Trump said on ‘Fox & Friends First’ Friday that the media's left-wing bias can be seen in how it covered President Biden's positive COVID test, compared to former President Trump's bout with the virus.
WHITE HOUSE DOESN'T KNOW WHERE BIDEN CAUGHT COVID, SAYS IT'S NOT IMPORTANT -
LARA TRUMP: You're not suggesting that the media is somehow playing favorites with Joe Biden over Donald Trump, are you? Of course, that is exactly what's happening. It's amazing to watch the difference in coverage of the exact same location, the balcony of the White House, where Donald Trump stood and took off his mask.

Democratic New York Gov. Kathy Hochul branded Republican gubernatorial nominee and sitting Congressman Lee Zeldin as “dangerous” and a “far-right extremist” in a campaign ad just weeks before a man tried to stab Zeldin at a campaign event.
The ad, released in June, said Zeldin isn’t “just any Republican” but rather an “extreme” candidate.
“Meet Lee Zeldin, the far-right extremist that the Republicans just nominated for governor,” Hochul’s tweet read. “Despite what he might try to sell you, the facts speak for themselves: he is dangerous for New York.”

The man released from police custody after allegedly attacking Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) during a campaign event Thursday night was arrested again Saturday on a federal assault charge.
David Jakubonis was charged at the state level with second degree attempted assault, but he was “released on his own recognizance” Thursday, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Jakubonis will now stand before U.S. Magistrate Judge Marion W. Payson Saturday to face his federal charge, Fox News reported.

On Saturday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) stated that if he was a Democrat, the attack on him “would be the number one story. And it wouldn’t just be the number one story for a day, it would be the number one story for an entire cycle.” And every single House Republican would be called on to condemn the attack.
Zeldin stated, “Well, this keeps happening over and over again, and you could find other stations that should be covering it and aren’t. Fortunately, some others are. Fox has been all on top of it. … I mean,

If you look at how unpopular Joe Biden is, you have to know that there’s a lot of anger brewing about how much he’s failed the American people, particularly when it comes to the economy.
He and his team can try to buffalo the American people on a lot of subjects but when it comes to the economy, Americans know that the Bidenflation is hitting them right in the wallet. We can’t buy what we used to under Donald Trump, everything costs more–particularly food–and many people are juggling how they can pay for the daily costs that it takes to live.

A 7,000-word story was published by Axios on Friday warning about the so-called “radical plan” by former President Trump and his allies to clean house in the DOJ, FBI, and Pentagon once he is reelected in 2024.
Axios’ Jonathan Swan is ringing alarm bells over the possibility but many Americans contend that’s exactly what is needed.
Swift claims the plan is based on a last-minute executive order from Trump in 2020 known as “Schedule F.” It reportedly takes direct aim at the “deep state” and purges woke progressives and Marxists from government agencies.

Four people were shot and wounded early Saturday in East Garfield Park — the fourth mass shooting in the area in the last three months.
A group of people were standing in the street in the 2700 block of West Jackson Boulevard around 1:45 a.m. when a black truck approached and someone got out and began firing a rifle, Chicago police said.
A man, 37, was hit in the right shoulder and was taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center in good condition; a man, 40, was grazed in the right hand and taken to Mount Sinai in good condition; a woman, 32, was shot in the back and taken
