AUSTIN, Texas — A staggering number of women are considering permanent sterilization procedures after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, according to physicians and online search data.
Searches for terms such as tubal ligation nearly quadrupled in the week after the high court’s decision, Google data shows. Facebook support groups for those interested in pursuing sterilization have been flooded, with one group gaining more than 2,500 new members since the June 24 ruling.
Meanwhile, OB-GYNs at one practice in Austin say they are fielding more phone calls than ever from women about sterilization.

WASHINGTON—A prosecution witness in the case against former White House aide Steve Bannon acknowledged on the stand on July 20 that she has known one of the prosecutors for some time.
The witness, Kristen Amerling, said she and one of the prosecutors “overlapped” on the House Oversight Committee while it was under the leadership of former Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.).
Amerling said she’s also been part of a book club for five years of which the prosecutor, Molly Gaston, is a member.
The club primarily comprises former aides to Waxman, she said.

As the Biden administration reels from a string of recent legal defeats, political analysts hail the U.S. Supreme Court’s latest ruling, West Virginia v. EPA, as but one component of a new, broad-based approach that the courts are taking to halt a century-long effort by progressives to empower the administrative state and rule Americans by bureaucratic decree.
Dating back to President Woodrow Wilson 100 years ago, progressive presidents, including Franklin Roosevelt, Lyndon Johnson, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden, have worked to transfer law-making authority from Congress to their executive agencies. Wilson, the father of modern-day progressives, believed the Constitution, with its separation of powers, was an outdated document

What can you say about the theater of the absurd that is American politics these days? I won’t try to outdo other commentators regarding Dementia Zhou’s announcement of his cancer. It turns out that he doesn’t really have cancer, according to the White House, but he does have Covid. Per the announcement that my wife just heard on the radio.
Of course, coming on the heels of further disastrous polling results—including an eye-opening 18% approval rating among Hispanics in one poll—one has to wonder about this Covid announcement. Is it possible that this is simply a ploy to get Zhou out of the public eye,(snip) Or a ploy to gain

A “study” finding that COVID mitigation efforts in schools, including forced masking, were highly effective in stopping disease spread — and cited by the CDC and most states as the scientific basis for school mask mandates — was authored by LA County bureaucrats, including the daughter of the county’s Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer.
Although study authors are required to disclose any conflicts of interest — and Ferrer is given a shout-out in the acknowledgements — the study states that no conflicts of interest were disclosed. A BASIC PUBLIC HEALTH PRINCIPLE:
A basic public health principle is, “The more society can function normally during a pandemic—the better the people will manage and survive.” This policy was turned on its head into, “The more society can be frightened, isolated, controlled, and suppressed—the safer it will be from the virus.” (snip) Public health has failed in the COVID-19 pandemic. How and Why?
Our government did not verify the Wuhan/China scare tactics. We now know that huge numbers of people in Wuhan were not dying in the streets and that the mass grave data was faked for reasons that we still don’t understand.

Border apprehensions recently topped 1.7 million, with three months of the fiscal year remaining. At the same time, the Biden administration has broken a long-standing policy of publicly releasing the number of illegal immigrants who die while crossing into the United States, or soon after.
The Rio Grande Valley in Texas and the Tucson Sector in Arizona have traditionally been the most deadly border sectors,(snip)
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) published on its website the number of migrant deaths along the southern border from fiscal 1998 to fiscal 2020, but stopped once the Biden administration took over the agency.

The antibodies triggered by COVID-19 vaccines are interfering with people’s immune systems as newer virus variants emerge, Dr. Harvey Risch said.
The two most widely-used vaccines in the United States, produced by Pfizer and Moderna, both work by sending messenger RNA into muscle cells, where they produce a piece of the spike protein from the virus that causes COVID-19. The spike protein triggers the production of antibodies, which are believed to help prevent infection by SARS-CoV-2, which causes COVID-19, and fight illness if one still gets infected.
But the vaccines are based on the spike protein from the original virus variant, which was displaced early in the pandemic.

A China-based agribusiness with links to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is moving ahead with plans to build a corn mill in Grand Forks, North Dakota, despite local concerns that the project could pose national security risks.
Fufeng Group—the second largest xanthan gum producer in China—recently purchased 370 acres located north of Grand Forks after the city council voted to annex the property.
The city then changed the parcel’s designation from an agricultural zone to an industrial one to allow the project to move forward under federal law.

A federal court has granted a request by Missouri and Louisiana officials to obtain information and documents from top-ranking officials in the Biden administration over its alleged collusion with social media giants in an effort to censor and suppress free speech.
Eric Schmitt, Missouri’s Republican attorney general, announced on social media on July 13 that Terry Doughty, a judge in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, had ruled in favor of the request for the discovery process.
The ruling paves the way for the attorneys general to collect documents from top-ranking Biden administration officials and social media giants.

A strong testimonial in favor of concealed carry, self-defense and situational awareness.
A mass shooter named Douglas Sapirman opened fire at the Greenwood Park Mall in Greenwood, Indiana, shooting three people before he was stopped by a 22-year-old who reacted in seconds after the shooting started.
22-year-old Elisjsha Dicken (pictured left) told his girlfriend to get under a table at the mall food court, then engaged the gunman using his pistol. Dicken fired ten shots, killing the gunman who was armed with a long rifle as he attempted to retreat. Police are hailing young Mr. Dicken as a hero who likely saved the lives of many

Two officials at one of the largest hospital systems in Los Angeles and Southern California dismissed government officials’ statements about another wave of COVID-19 hitting the region and the United States as “media hype.”
Los Angeles County health director Barbara Ferrer last week said that her county is now seeing a “high” level of COVID-19 transmission, suggesting that indoor mask mandates might be reimposed.
But in a recent news conference on July 13, Brad Spellberg, the chief medical officer of Los Angeles County and University of Southern California Medical Center, and epidemiologist Paul Holtom, said that there have been no changes in the transmission levels of COVID-19.
“It’s just the same.
