It's going to be a long, hot summer — and I'm not just talking about the weather.
Take a handful of hallucinogens, sedatives and edibles, wash them down with a healthy amount of your favorite liquor during a backyard barbecue with people you love, some you barely know and others you can't stand, and you'll approximate the political climate in the United States today on the eve of the midterm elections.
The summer of 2022 is hot and furious. We are dealing with a world literally on fire due to climate change.

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) claimed on Thursday her fixation with former President Donald Trump is not political.
In an interview with the New York Times, Cheney alleged her alliance with Democrats on the partisan January 6 commission to attack Trump is not political but rather educational.
“I don’t look at it through a political lens,” she claimed about her work on the committee. “I look at it through the angle of: People need to understand how dangerous he is and how unfit for office he is.”
Cheney, who has received praise from Democrats for joining them in combatting Trump, is running behind in primary polls against Trump-endorsed opponent Harriet Hageman

A dispute between two families in line at Disney World turned ugly on Wednesday when the altercation escalated into an all-out brawl. Somewhere in Fantasyland between Cinderella's Castle and Peter Pan's Flight, the warring families traded punches and profanity, as onlookers screamed in the background, Fox 35 reported. The fracas continued at the Orlando, Florida, theme park for several minutes before park personnel and deputies broke it up. "We came upon it, and it appeared as though it took about two minutes for two security personnel to arrive.(Snip)According to the Daily Mail's reporting, the incident began when a female Disney guest waiting to get into Mickey's PhilharMagic

Lucky for you, you’re probably not a neighbor of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, but if you were, your evenings would be punctuated by “loud and vulgar,” almost-nightly protests from abortion proponents shouting about the recent SCOTUS overturn of Roe v. Wade.
The Washington Post went to the tony Washington, D.C. suburb of Chevy Chase, Md. to interview Kavanaugh’s neighbors, and although many in the predominantly liberal enclave refused to go on record, most of the ones who did were not pleased with the disruptions.

Elon Musk recently declaring that we need to move on from President Donald Trump is the latest example of chatter I have noticed lately on the news and conservative blogs about why we need to do an about-face to Governor Ron DeSantis as our presidential nominee in 2024.
(Snip) First, I am a big Governor DeSantis fan. He is showing what strong state leadership looks like and how it is possible to constitutionally resist a tyrannical federal government. DeSantis has been a profile in courage, toughness, sensibility, and even love as he stands for the citizens of Florida. He is the living embodiment of a patriotic executive.

Did Joe Biden just announce he has cancer?
After hiding out at the White House for 3 days, Joe Biden on Wednesday traveled to Brayton Point in Massachusetts where he will talk about his Marxist climate change agenda.
About 20 chairs were laid out for Joe’s big speech… but he totally got 81 million votes in 2020.Biden struggled to read the teleprompter during his garbled speech and at one point it appeared he announced he has cancer.
“And my mother drove us and rather than us being able to walk, and guess what?

On Wednesday’s broadcast of NBC’s “MTP Now,” Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-NM) argued that Democrats should say that “we’re going to solve inflation with a climate bill” and that in Congress, “we need to be doing climate all of the time now” and that “every bill we do, whether it’s an appropriations bill or whether it’s a policy bill,” should have climate provisions because “we’ve reached a point where our climate is truly at a tipping point. We’re losing this battle and losing control of the weather.”
Heinrich stated, “[I]t really is our addiction to fossil fuels that is driving the out-of-control frustration and inflation that our constituents are feeling.”

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg made an appearance on CNBC Wednesday morning and whined about Americans not wanting to give up their gas fueled vehicles for electric alternatives. Worse, when asked about the dire consequences of the Biden administration's war on oil and gas, Buttigieg justified the potential for deaths as simply part of the transition to alternative energy. Meanwhile, electric vehicle owners are being warned not to charge their batteries during certain hours for fear of blackouts. "Tesla is asking its customers in Texas to avoid charging their electric vehicles during peak times in order to prevent overtaxing the state’s power grid.

AUSTIN, Texas — A staggering number of women are considering permanent sterilization procedures after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, according to physicians and online search data.
Searches for terms such as tubal ligation nearly quadrupled in the week after the high court’s decision, Google data shows. Facebook support groups for those interested in pursuing sterilization have been flooded, with one group gaining more than 2,500 new members since the June 24 ruling.
Meanwhile, OB-GYNs at one practice in Austin say they are fielding more phone calls than ever from women about sterilization.

Hunter Biden could reportedly be charged by the Justice Department for tax violations and lying to law enforcement about illegally purchasing a firearm, as the probe into President Joe Biden’s son comes to a head.
Trump-appointed U.S. prosecutor David Weiss is deliberating whether to charge Hunter for “making a false statement in connection with Biden’s purchase of a firearm at a time he would have been prohibited from doing so because of his acknowledged struggles with drug addiction,” CNN reported Wednesday.
As Breitbart News reported, Hunter may have lied on paperwork he submitted when purchasing a handgun in 2018 by not disclosing his drug additions.

Setting aside that the Brooklyn library is run by Marxists, there's almost no way that this (plus the drag queen business, plus homosexual books for preschoolers in every library across the land) is not being pushed through using "federal funding," or the threat of withholding same. God willing, on the horizon is a series of mostly peaceful vigorous book burning demonstrations as the nation rejects filth and sexualization of children.
