Only a “massive” and immediate scaling-up of funds and humanitarian relief can save Somalia from famine, a UN spokesperson has warned, as aid workers report children starving to death “before our eyes” amid rapidly escalating levels of malnutrition. In a message to G7 leaders who are meeting from Sunday in Germany, Michael Dunford, the World Food Programme’s (WFP) regional director for east Africa, said governments had to donate urgently and generously if there was to be any hope of avoiding catastrophe in the Horn of Africa country.
“We need money and we need it now,” said Dunford.(Snip)Last year, the UK and other G7 leaders promised to provide $7bn

Let Ilhan Omar hold a fundraiser, I’m sure she will get tons of support for her birth country. Ask the Saudis or other Muslims to bail them out. No More Black Hawk down options ever!

I don't seem to recall these African countries experiencing famine when they were European colonies. I also don't recall our once great American cities becoming cesspools until Africans gained control of them. Coincidence??

Talk about an evergreen story, I have been hearing and , in my past , working with that region and you could have written the same exact thing. Just change the names...I believe St. Kinison stated it well 'It's SAND, go to where to where the FOOD is'

Another Bush family blunder - getting involved In Somalia. As a result Minneapolis and Columbus have been overrun by these less than industrious Kut chewers- thanks to Clinton’s relocation efforts.
No doubt FJB will bring over thousands and thousands more of these freeloaders.

Number 9 - probably true. Although Ireland certainly experienced a famine while under the rule of a colonial European power.

All part of the global population reduction plans of the UN Agenda 2030. Saving earths resources is a heartless business. Better put some vax mandates in place to make sure they die from an adverse reaction rather than starvation.

Yet the only way to distribute funds and food there is to hand it to the Groups that are CAUSING the famines and deaths....
But yes...I concur...send Illian Omar over there to run the whole place, clearly SHE could do it since she has so many bright ideas about running THIS place(of course 1st thing they need to do before she can go is defund all cops, release everyone from the Jails, and ban all regular citizens from owning weapons.).

#9 has said what many on this blog and throughout this country think. The difference is he has the ability to concisely sum it up, and the guts to say it. God, I wish he was wrong.

Why is it a G7 problem? Here's an idea, call on Somalia's neighbors and the socialist countries of South American for help.

You can't eat money especially when those in charge of it take out their percentage.
They need FOOD.
You know that item that we all may need soon thanks to Joe Biden, and his promises of shortages..

We need to send a bunch of them back home, starting with Rep. Ilhan Omar. Anyone who lies on the Immigration Form needs to be sent home where they can apply the knowledge gained here to improve the third-world hellhole that is Somalia.

Seriously? The plight of people subject to Nazi atrocities wasn’t worse? 50 Million people killed in WW2? Any aid we send will be stolen by the lawless gangs in Somalia! Until they repent and come to Christ, this nation will be hell on earth!

Why don't you hit up the oil/money rich Muslim nations for the funds this time? The fact they don't care about their fellow muslims says a lot about their cult.

Somali and the Horn of Africa are the paradigm examples causing the rise of "Foreign Aid Compassion Fatigue". It has long become obvious that that entire region cannot support and sustain by feeding and watering the current vast and rising population. But instead of taking action to disperse their population to other more sustaining regions in the vast continent of Africa and educate their people about the need for population control, their governments and people people have become accustomed to being rescued year on year cyclical famine disaster by the international humanitarian organizations, financed and supplied mostly by the Western First World, while the population keeps rising between one crisis and the next. Significant indigenous wealth and other aid in the meantime is spent on weaponry and on fighting internecine and regional wars. Perfect cases where unconditional foreign aid becomes totally counter productive. The principle that sometimes you have to be "cruel to be kind" still holds true!

Somalia cannot function on its own. Failed America has some 200,000 of them living here, and it's not made a dent apart from burdening US taxpayers, ruining our cities, and depriving Somalia of young people who could be back at home trying to help their nation out of a crisis. Article says UK and G7 "promised" $7 billion to bail out various African nations, but thus far Biden's USA has handed at least 6 times that amount to Our Great Allies in the Ukraine, which shows how racist we are.
