Elon Musk's 18 year-old son has filed court documents seeking to legally change their gender from male to female and lose his last name, stating: 'I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.'
Xavier Musk, 18, filed the paperwork in Santa Monica, California, on April 18, seeking to be known as Vivian Jenna Wilson. The transgender teenage explained that she wishes to take her mother's last name to distance herself from her dad.
She has not commented on whether she receives financial support from her dad -

US women's soccer hero Megan Rapinoe has come out strongly in favor of including transgender women in women's sport, labelling the arguments against 'cruel and disgusting'. The veteran soccer star, who co-captained the United States Women's National Team in 2019 as they won a second successive World Cup, was dismissive of the notion that trans women are dominating women's sports and thus need regulating. Instead, she argued that excluding them from competing at lower levels is cruel, as people value their 'kid's high school volleyball team' ahead of the lives and wellbeing of transgender people.(Snip)'I'm 100 per cent supportive of trans inclusion,' she told TIME.

This week, Hillary Clinton dispelled the rumors that she might be running for presidential office again in 2024.
The 2016 Democratic candidate who faced former President Trump, told the Financial Times in an interview published Friday that there were no plans to run for office in 2024.
“No, out of the question,” Clinton told the Financial Times. “First of all, I expect Biden to run. He certainly intends to run. It would be very disruptive to challenge that.”
Clinton made her failed bid for President in 2016 and unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008. Another bid for the office seems like it would be a wasted effort.

The war on America's suburbs has opened a new front. Buried in President Biden's proposed budget for 2023 is a $10-billion bribe for suburban communities to remove zoning barriers to high-density housing. (snip) It is a strong signal to Democrat-controlled states to gear up the decades-long efforts to bludgeon affluent communities into submitting to "housing justice" and providing their "fair share." (snip) These efforts are being fueled by housing activists and progressive think-tanks like the Brookings Institution, which declared in a January 2022 article: "By some measures, the suburban counties around New York City have some of the worst exclusionary zoning in the nation."

Climate change is causing more frequent and intense droughts, storm, heat waves, rising sea levels and melting glaciers and to stop this destruction, MIT researchers proposes 'Space Bubbles' to shield Earth from the sun's rays to combat the devastation.
This geoengineering idea would feature inflatable bubbles, organized in a circular shape the size of Brazil, which would sit between the Earth and the sun, blocking radiation from hitting our planet.
'We believe that inflating thin-film spheres directly in space from a homogeneous molten material–such as silicon can provide the variation in thickness that refracts a broader wave spectrum and allows us to

MSNBC host and commentator Joy Reid spoke out over the weekend about what she feels is unfair media coverage of Vice President Kamala Harris.
Reid blamed the 'white, male media' for treating Harris with a bias that would not be found during the tenure of her predecessors, in an interview with The Root.
'Think about her portfolio, voting rights, immigration and the border, and police reform. The things on her plate are the toughest things that the Biden Administration has to deal with outside of inflation and the war in Ukraine,' said Reid.

New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell pulled the drapes off an art display of an oversized black fist afro comb on Friday in celebration of Juneteenth — the holiday commemorating the ending of U.S. slavery.
Cantrell, who tweeted a series of photos of the display, called the artwork “breathtaking.”
“This sculpture is very fitting for this time & place as we celebrate the freedoms that we have gained,” Cantrell said on Twitter. “We know that it doesn’t come without struggles, fights, and protests for 200+ years.”

Dr. Anthony Fauci, fresh off of an epic beatdown in the Senate from Senator Rand Paul, is back with a warning for America about the fizzled out Covid-19 pandemic. It’s not over yet. Watch: [video]
“Hopefully, the more people that get vaccinated and boosted and the more people that realize the importance of when you have a high level of viral dynamics, that when you’re in an indoor setting, you should wear a mask, even though the whole world including the United States and the U.K. are just worn out and tired by this outbreak, it isn’t over yet,” Fauci warned.

President Donald Trump recently issued his fourth official statement about me since our controversial interview two months ago.
At the risk of further incurring his wrath, if anyone is drawing flies right now, it’s Donald Trump.
If you were scripting a perfect Republican presidential candidate, the list of preferred requirements would read something like DeSantis’s resume.

Time for some real talk. There are a lot of Republicans with doubts about President Trump running again in 2024, and you hear it often when conservatives gather together. They worry that him going Grover Cleveland could spoil a sure thing, but that’s not necessarily so. Whether you love Donald Trump, or whether you doubt him – if you hate him, shut up and go back to the Bulwark offices with the other losers – you need to look hard at the facts. We’re not progressives who let our feelz control us, and we must ruthlessly assess our own potential courses of action

Rep. Adam Kinzinger, one of two Republicans on the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, shared a frightening letter that threatened to “execute” his family, including his 5-month-old baby.
“Here is the letter. Addressed to my wife, sent to my home, threatening the life of my family,” the Illinois congressman posted Sunday on his Twitter account.
The unhinged note, addressed to Kinzinger’s wife, Sofia, begins: “That pimp you married not only broke his oath, he sold his soul.”
The letter then goes on to chillingly warn her husband would be “executed.”

Vice President Kamala Harris bungled a history lesson about the Juneteenth holiday Monday, telling kids that black people were enslaved in America for 400 years—overstating the actual time period by more than 150 years. “I think that we all know today is a day to celebrate the principle of freedom,” Harris told a group of about two dozen elementary school-aged children at the National Museum of African American History & Culture in Washington. “And think about it in terms of the context of history, knowing that black people in America were not free for 400 years of slavery.”(Snip)A White House official acknowledged Harris’ error,
