A transgender surfer in Western Australia has become the first person in history to win both the men’s and women’s divisions of the sport.
This month, 43-year-old Sasha Jane Lowerson crushed the competition in the Open Women’s and Open Logger divisions at the West Coast Suspensions Longboard and Logger State Championships, as well as a number of state titles. (snip) Lowerson, whose birth name is reportedly Ryan Egan, won the open women’s competitions easily. The results weren’t even close. (snip) Ryan Egan won the men’s championship in 2019, two years before he changed his name and transitioned to a woman.

Need to correct the opening paragraph. The dude did not transition to a woman; he pretended to transition to a woman.

Does NOW even exist anymore. Or did they collapse after selling their souls to protect Bill Clinton. This is getting ridiculous. All these transgender males competing against women. Their muscles are bigger, their bones are bigger - enough. Let's protect our daughters.

I bet a paycheck he's still an "intact" male who just figured out a way to keep winning when he couldn't compete against 20-something men.

Women demand EQUALITY. Yet they compete unfairly against your sons daily through affirmative action programs, special educational and professional prep programs, special recruitment efforts, and a number of other ways. No one whines about those, do they? Those are "fair", while the boys today have caught on and are eschewing higher education for video games in the basement. That's not EQUALITY.
Title IX is a civil rights law. Seems these separate-but-equal sports are nothing more than modern segregation. If "male" golf tournaments, for example, must be "open", along with the sponsoring club's memberships, why should "women's" events be segregated? The chance to win millions of dollars in prize money is being denied males only because they are so. That would be squarely illegal in any business place, or by any employer. In this case the skatebarding young lady is whining about the money she failed to earn. Ask Megan Rapinoe about this...

Long, sad story - isn’t it always? The world seas are supposed to part for this depressed wannabe female who also wanted to be a competitive surfer. So surf as the male you were born as. You can still pretend to be female in the rest of your life. Either compete fairly or give it up. Simple.

A big asterisk next to his name. If ever things return to normal, that records along with those of all the other trannies will disappear.

Well if all the women competitors are not okay with having men take all the wins they should all boycott the events.

I am probably blind but I don’t see any agendas. Just people having various types of reactions to the irrationality injected into public discourse. And not only the matters injected in the last 2-3 years but over the last decades, most of which injections conflict with each other.
The supreme court justice in waiting- have we ever had someone approved before there was a vacancy before? Lucky they didn’t approve 20 for the next 20 vacancies- who doesn’t know what a woman is. An energy secretary who doesn’t know how oil is produced. A president who gets confused about who is president and who is the first lady and who is Vice President. A transportation secretary who adopted twins with his husband and took months of maternity leave during an extremely critical period of the covid shutdown reopening process when supply chains were malfunctioning. And a press secretary whose only attribute is that she says all Republicans are racists.
No wonder people react in all sorts of ways, mostly sarcastically.

Supposedly these guys are sportsmen. How can anyone who has been in competing for years accept these titles when the game is essentially "rigged." How many other times in their sports careers have they cheated to win?
If they can change our sex can they also change our age? How many Little League championships might they win if these big guys decided that they identify as12 year-olds?

The concept of "fair" no longer exists, not even in love and war. The prize goes to he who can best game the system. Look at who we have for a president.

So he won competing against the opposite sex. Cut off his little bits, present them to him in a tin mug, and next year while he still won't be a woman able to conceive and give birth, at least his nether region will look more female than male when he attempts to illegally compete again.

Someone on this thread who really enjoys being contrary wrote: If "male" golf tournaments, for example, must be "open"... why should "women's" events be segregated? The chance to win millions of dollars in prize money is being denied males only because they are so. Any male professional golfer who declares womanhood and tries to get away with competing against women on the LPGA Tour might be in danger of having some sort of strange accident. There will be zero sympathy for him on the PGA Tour--and especially on the LPGA Tour. I don't know why anyone would want to become a pariah in such a supremely immoral way. Or why anyone would show up month after month pooh poohing women who want fair competition in sports. This is getting tiresome.

"Australian Male Wins Women's Surfing Competition"
there -- fixed the headline. Egan won the men's championship 3 years ago, apparently before he started pretending to be a woman. What a loser.

If he already won the men’s championship, he’s just doing the tranny thing out of pure spite.
What happened to Australia? It use to be filled with tough, no nonsense, hard working people. Now it’s filled with disarmed wusses. Crocodile Dundee, phone home!

#20 - You fail to answer the basic issue: Why is separate but equal acceptable in athletics (amateur and professional) but not in employment and compensation? Are there employers, for example, who set aside performance bonuses based on sex, with differentials to offset one sex's advantages or repair past practices? Name one. And one can then presume you are okay with lesser physical qualifications in the military and first responder agencies for women. Are there scholarships restricted to males these days? There are plenty to "encourage" and "inspire" women to enter schools and professions. Why are there not equivalents for males to enter education and nursing, for example?
Women want EQUALITY. Why won't you and others give it to them? Women are no less an "exception" than men. They're more than welcome at the US Open...if they can qualify...or, should they be given a handicap and allowed the red tees for that?
