Average gas prices in the U.S. reached a new record high Tuesday, according to AAA's gas price calculator.
The national average cost of a regular gallon of gasoline hit $4.523 early Tuesday morning. This topped Monday's record of $4.483, which in turn had beat Sunday's record of $4.470.
The price comes as the European Union edges toward oil sanctions on Russia amid the Kremlin's invasion of Ukraine. It also comes amid record-high inflation, with the consumer price index reaching 8.3% in April, hovering near March's 40-year high.

The famed Bush aircraft carrier "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" banner will be brought out of storage and unfurled in the front of Congress.

# 1 Not so fast. Wait. $200 a barrel and $ 10 + a gallon. Captive people without much food. So easy to control.

But burning down the plantation to keep the slaves contained has some drawbacks even the bidets can comprehend. And the great electric car king is pulling the curtain back on their twitter scam.
I think it’s time for slow joe to start punishing the people who are acting economically rationally rather than with the sole purpose of making him look good.
The punishment will increase until joy returns to the land!

Here on the homestead we have always stored 30 gallons of gas for the generator and 20 gallons of diesel for TK's tractor. Our local Safeway offers gas points for use at their station, one 10-cent point earned for every $100 spent in groceries. We would earn 10 points in 5-6 weeks, we are now earning them in less than a month. (I'm expecting Safeway to raise the amount spent for points to be changed in the near future.) Whenever we reach 10 points ($1.00 off each gallon) we top off our vehicles to empty all the cans for the gas run into town.
This practice has now become a financial investment.

Just paid $4.99/gal for 87 grade in northern Nevada. This was at the cheap station, but not Costco. Thanks Biden.

And they aren't done. They want us to be like Europe. A few years ago, I was buying diesel in Italy and France for $9 a gallon. Probably higher than that now over there, and headed there for us.
They hate your freedom to hop in your big, nice vehicle, with a powerful engine and cruise down the highway at 70+ mph all day, and go where ever you choose, without them controlling you. They want that freedom ENDED.

Liberals obsess over imaginary problems and in so doing create real problems.
Grifters also prefer imaginary problems because it frees up 100% of the money for the big kickback.

“Can’t get any worse” is a foolish notion. Team Biden can and intend to make the economy worse.

Re #4. Consider getting a dual fuel generator, which can run on either gasoline or propane (LPG). Propane or LPG will keep indefinitely, like many decades, as long as the tanks don't leak, where gasoline is good for max a year, with Stabil.
You can get conversion carbs for many engines if you and TK are handy, or I understand that Generac has a new line of generators which are set up to just switch between the two fuel types, as needed.
Best wishes in your homestead. My of the grid place in the mountains of Colorado uses propane for cooking, refrigeration and hot water. Wood heat. Solar for lighting and pumping water from the cistern which takes little power. Pumping from the well to fill the cistern takes more power than the solar system can provide, so about once a year or so, we must run the generator to refill the cistern. We've been sorting this stuff out for 30 years, and I am thinking hard of getting a bigger propane tank and buying the dual fuel generator and being more secure in my storage of generator fuel for long term. Still need gasoline for the chainsaw for wood.

Talk about lazy- ass journalism.....
Drive around town and read the gas pumps. More likely, they sit around and hear it on TV

#9 - Thank you for your interest in our homestead. We just installed a new Kohler generator as part of our "off-grid" project for the house. It has more power than the old one, which is now a back-up that joins the other two back-ups. (Our original Generac for the old cabin, and the Westinghouse for the new cabin we're building.) The new generator is hooked into our propane tank, 500 gallons that we top off twice a year. The propane runs our stove, clothes dryer and furnace. We mainly heat with a wood stove, but having a furnace is nice for chilling winter mornings!
We signed the contract for our solar project on February 4th. We've faced supply chain problems, but the lithium batteries have been installed and wired. The new generator finally arrived two weeks ago. We already had a solar panel array that we put in 12 years ago to do inter-tie with PGE, but they don't make those panels anymore. Our contractor has been searching for new panels that will be compatible, but he called yesterday and said he got a lead on some available. He's going to the warehouse to make sure. I believe that is the last big component for which we've been waiting. TK is the overseer on this project, I just write the checks!
Your get-away cabin in Colorado sounds lovely. The mountains always safe. The Bible tells us so in many passages. God bless you and Mrs. DVC when the shiite hits the fan. Hope you can get there.
