Russia threatened a dramatic escalation of its war in Ukraine Thursday when Russia’s Channel One featured a video depicting Russian missiles reaching Berlin, Paris, and London.According to the UK’s Express, Channel One’s 60 Minutes program, one of the most popular TV shows in Russia, featured “the chairman of the nationalist Rodina party, Aleksey Zhuravlyov,” who “suggested Russia could launch a Sarmat missile attack on the UK.” This was not, however, Zhuravlyov’s eccentric view: “Producers then cut to a map of Kaliningrad and seemed to suggest that missiles could be launched from the Russian enclave between Poland, Lithuania and the Baltic Sea.”
Zhuravlyov declared: “One Sarmat [missile] and that’s it

Ok so before the invasion I (incorrectly) said Putin would not invade full scale because he didn't have enough troops, etc, it would be madness and he'd fail and he's not dumb.
Wow, was I wrong. He turned out to be really stupid and invaded and got smashed.
I have no idea if he's crazy enough to use nukes or other WMD. 3 months ago I would have said never. I didn't know anymore. Scary stuff.

I don't know how to look at this. We have to remember the NWO/Globalist authoritarian tyrants WANT a nuclear war because they are being exposed for all the crimes against humanity they have committed. This guy, Zhuravlyov, was a member of the Communist Party and now is supposedly leader of the far-right, ultra nationalist Rodina party. It's difficult to know what his motivations are. Showing a map of capabilities does bit mean that Russia is actually planning to use it. Honestly, I do not believe most of what the media says about Putin. Most of the world media outlets are working with/for the tyrants. Yes that was Russian media, but as I said we do not know where Zhuravlyov is coming from either. I would take this broadcast with a grain of salt until we hear more and hopefully, from reliable sources before panicking.

C'mon Putin you can do better than that...those three countries are no great loss to anyone, Maybe Britain....
But you can have France and Germany. The very last good thing from France was Lafayette.
Is Putin stupid enough to sign his own death warrant? Methinks not!

So we've been relying on the premise that no nation would want to commit suicide. That, unfortunately, does not consider insane nations. Too late now, but Patton was right!

We are living in insane times. Something has happened in the last few decades to intensify the pressures of what used to be ordinary life and somewhat normal international relations to bring about a generation of unusually stupid and hostile leaders. And particularly in those nations that have weapons of mass destruction. So the principle of "mutually assured destruction" is no longer a deterrent.
Russia surely knows that Britain and France have nukes AND the ability to deliver a fatal counterattack. But Putin does appear to sound fatalistic and messianic now, perhaps due to his own poor health and advancing age. So yes, he may be serious about being willing to initiate a last blaze of murder-suicide. Another reason to avoid gerontocracy, or rule by stupid, angry old leaders.
Best advice: live and love your own life as though these could be your last days. They might be.

Well, if I had to choose who was crazier, Putin or Biden, I believe Biden would get my vote. While Putin is someone to be reckoned with, he still has not done the damage Biden has done in less than 18 months. Putin is definitely capable of launching a nuclear missile, but he knows that the response would be hard and swift. Well, that was the reality before Biden. Truthfully, if he ever had any intention of using nuclear force, it would be now. He knows Biden is a weak fool and no one else would stop him. What an unmitigated disaster we are facing all because the democrats stole a Presidential election and installed Obama’s puppet in the White house. To have the possibility of a threat of nuclear war right now with this lawless and incompetent cabal in charge is terrifying.

Nobody knows what Putin might do, Putin maybe doesn't even know. The best hope is that others at the highest levels do not want to lose their lives and families in a nuclear holocaust and will take care of Putin if he actually tries to push the button. Let's hope and pray.

If the Soviets have 'scuds' that could reach large American cities including Washington DC it could be called 'urban renewal' under Joe Biden's infrastructure bill. It works out great. If the Soviets are talking about it, they are thinking deeply about that option, but it still doesn't help them economically it's just a hatred vendetta and nothing else.

The russkies May 9th isn't-Russia-Great-Day is only a week away and Putie will need something to celebrate before he supposedly goes in for cancer treatment. This channel one report is concerning even if it is russkie propaganda. Putie is desperate for a victory of any kind. As the old saying goes, "desperate people do desperate things".
And then we have biden the cheater and Kamalie "protecting" us. What could possibly go wrong just eight months after the chaotic surrender in Afghanistan. Xi, why don't you get a hold of Putie and settle him down.

Over 99% (or more) of the use of nuclear weapons is the threat to use them. The other guy might just think you are crazy enough and that will affect their policy decisions/actions in your favor. That is what the Russkies are doing. Are the NATO allies stupid or cowardly enough to fall for it? If Trump was in charge I would go to bed without worry.

And in the meantime, we have reporters on Newsmax, for instance, obsessing over when Biden will (or if) visit Ukraine. Why? Because Boris Johnson went? Nancy Pelosi was just there yucking it tip with Zelensky. So how much more billions did you promise him Nancy?
I feel for the average Ukrainian, his/her family, pets, farm, etc but NOT their corrupt government.

And China just sits back and waits for everybody to destroy themselves. Xi is not stupid, he sees what's going on and I don't think he will invade Taiwan right now. No need to, it will all fall in place for him because Russia will be gone and he already owns Biden, Obama and McConnell. He's in the "catbird seat". Got it...

I won't be able to fall for all the Putin War Porn until a bit later. We are busy trying to comfort and teach, house and minister to the actual hurting of our world. The Biden and Obama class folks can only stand around stirring the cauldron. Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble. If only Pelosi didn't look so much like a witch, we could probably break her spell on our own border.

Um, suggest you all carefully re-read the piece. The implication is that Russia's Channel One said Russia is threatening to attack the UK, France, and Germany. That header was definitely written to intentionally suggest that's the view of Putin and the Russian government. But is that really the case? Or did the producers of Channel One edit their video to include THEIR OWN maps, leading the viewers to reach the conclusion that they were revealing some semi-secret plan to obliterate the UK, France and Germany? Was it Channel One's agenda or the Russian government's agenda?
A cursory online check of those countries' most up-to-the-minute news sources reveals NOT A WORD about such proposed preeminent threats from Russia. I wonder why?
Quick. Somebody call our new Minister of Disinformation. We need to get to the bottom of this!

Well... this validates for me...putin is not all there...kinda like biden....but no one in their right mind would unleash a nuke understanding the fallout would hit them eventually when the wind carries it back to Russia...so what's with this rattling of the nuke cage....could it be to draw attention from putin's deteriorating health...and Russia's inept military force...interesting turn of events....

The Russians have to know that if they fire nuclear missiles of any type at London and Paris that they would, without any doubt, immediately receive an incoming mass salvo of nuclear ballistic missiles that would be fired by American, British, and possibly French nuclear missile submarines that are always at sea ready to go. The result of which would be fields of glass where Moscow and St. Petersburg once stood, and that’s just for starters.

Back in a sane world during the Cold war, there was MAD - Mutually Assured Destruction. That is, automatic retaliation if an attack took place. But that only works if the people with the Footballs are rational and sane. We now have enemies that are neither - Iran believes it is a religious duty to wipe the west out. I don't know Putin's rationale is yet, or if he too is suffering from advanced dementia.
What I do know, is this war with Ukraine will destroy any evidence of collusion with Biden Inc. (a wholly owned subsidiary of the DNC)

Those who imagine that a retaliation against a nuclear strike would be "like the old days" are living in a bit of a fantasy.
In the 70s and 80s we had something like 50,000 nuclear weapons, no official count is out there but this is the most commonly quoted number in public sources. Today, we have about 2000 or 2500 at best that can be used, again, according to online sources which I believe to be accurate.
And while the typical weapon in the late 50s through the 70s or 80s was "megaton class", today's weapons are far smaller, probably more like a few hundred kilotons, again, according to online sources who have been credible in the past.
Certainly, these are still impressive, very deadly weapons, and probably "enough" to do the job, but frankly our nuclear deterrents are a mere shadow of our previous capabilities. The Cold War term was "throw weight", IIRC. That is way down.
We probably have around 1/60th (under 2%) of the "throw weight" that we had half a century ago. We have pulled 98% of our own "teeth".

I think that Putin is super p-o'd that FJB stole the election.
Putin wanted Trump back in to turn things around. Putin cannot stand weenie -ssed men like Obie, FJB, who are pistol whipped by black women.
All that money that the Biden's took from Ukraine p-o'd Putin.
